Beautiful hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms and super friendly staff. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the station and city centre. It’s in a beautiful building. I really enjoyed my stay here. The garden behind the hotel has lots of private seating. The various groups of tables and chairs are separated by plants and bushes. The staff goes out of their way to help you with anything. I had forgotten my toothpaste and no problem. They also happily stored my luggage after checking out. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty seating, including outside during good weather. In the rooms you have a kettle, coffee and tea. I am already looking forward to my next stay :-)

The hotel is located in the northern part of the Netherlands. There are relatively few Chinese people. The hotel is a pure business hotel. Breakfast is 6:30-11:00, but some business people go to the restaurant to talk about things at 9:00. It is busy during the day and the restaurant is great at night. The owner, Sander, is extremely typical in being tight and inconsiderate of customers who are not satisfied. We had a flood in our bathroom due to the walk in shower, and even though he tried to fix it, it still flooded afterwards. Nothing was done about keeping us happy or compensating for this terrible experience. Showers were limited for us, they were cut short and caused inconvenience with us left with shampoo in our hair! No complimentary drink to say sorry, in fact no-one even apologised for any of the unfortunate events that occurred with the shower! So shocking and completely unprofessional. When I then look at their target audience, I realise the majority of the customers are over the age of 60, so they probably are oblivious to all the problems. Very defensive staff, especially on check out who just looked as pathetic as a teenager being told off. She obviously had been warned by Sander and went straight into defence mode. Again, very amateur and unprofessional. Also, the soap and shampoo facilities for a so-called four star hotel was a joke. Locked in tubes and half empty on the day of arrival. Four or five star hotels usually utilise miniature toiletries. I have travelled a lot and know that this method is typical of 2/3 star hotels or motels, which I tend to avoid. Again a way of saving money and a short cut. Lame. Just lame. The buffet dinner was bland, tasteless and rather disgusting. It is not live cooking - it is a shambles; children fingering all the food with dirty hands, and then expecting us to eat it. No thanks. Waste of money and complete rip off room prices. Best of luck to this potential old people's home. If my grandparents were still alive, I would still not recommend the hotel to them. They would deserve better, as did we. Have the decency not to rate yourself on what is visible on the surface (the view/location etc) but actually on the ins and outs of staying there. It is terrible but the worst thing was the staff's attitude. I am so happy they do not treat customers like this in the UK. Shame on Sander and his appalling staff. Disgusting. Useless. With relatives north of the country, we enjoy staying at this hotel when we are due a family visit. Until recently, the hotel was part of the Westcord hotel chain but has now become an independent hotel. Based on previous experiences, we did not see much of a difference when it comes to hotel rooms, cleanliness, friendly staff and breakfast. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Raalte on a main road with easy access to Ommen/ Hoogeveen (north), Deventer (south), Zwolle (west) and Almelo/Hengelo (east). The hotel is relatively new and looks like an old farmhouse with inner courtyard. Hotel rooms on first floor excist of hotel room and attic with room for a second double bed, perfect for families. We enjoyed our stay, a clean room, comfy beds, coffee/tea facility, all was there. Walls are somewhat on the thin side, we were treated to an evening concert and did not need an alarm to be woken up by lively toddlers in the room next to us. Breakfast was slightly hectic though, the restaurant managed but we had to wait for a table of four and staff was constantly checking and making sure there was enough supply. Breakfast was included in price and a good variety, someting on offer for everyone. Based on our recent experience, we have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Salland Inn.

Wonderfully welcoming staff. Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms. Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room. Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price). Excellent value for money (in the week). No lifts though so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags). The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards. Would definitely like to come and stay at this property again.

When you approach through the forest and waterways this monster in a large pond intrigues. Located next to the old Waterloopkundig or hydrological research centre this building from the sixties with its concrete look, has been fully remodelled and modernized. Nice couches and surroundings created in the main entrance and the hallways. Plenty of parking space and possibility to stall your bikes and bicycles. One strange thing is that they demand immediate payment of the room (even when we had given a credit card guarantee) though you can charge bar and restaurant on the room. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the pond and they have a lot of space. They are modern and supplied with a safe and coffeemaker. Good beds and perfect shower. The lights for reading at the seats and for shaving at the wash basin are faint and don't really help. For the rest, no remarks to the rooms though the decoration on the walls is a little bit of everything. The restaurant offered a special asparagus menu due to the season. We assume they do more of these specialties. The normal dishes have a decent variety and there is the possibility of the chef's choice in meat, fish or vegetarian (recommendable). With the option of strolling alongside the old research objects in the moors and woodlands and the good cycling options, this new (opened at 31 March 2023) hotel is an excellent extra for the Fletcher brand.

We stayed here on our way back to the Hook of Holland from a road trip around Germany and Denmark. On that trip we stayed in a lot of really good hotels, but the Finch Boutique Hotel in Deventer was very much the top of the list. We could not fault it in any way. We rated the room, the ambience, the breakfast, and above all the staff, 12 out of 10 (if we can say that). An absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you. For UK travellers using the Harwich-Hook of Holland ferry, this hotel is about a 1hr 40min drive. we shall be using it again.

Deventer is small and there are not many options. The location is in the heart of the old town, an old house was remodeled. Everything is online, so a small room can be fitted with a bathtub. Breakfast is not a buffet, can be a single point. The decoration is very comfortable.
