We came to stay at the Merton as a surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday and from the moment we arrived we received great service and could tell we were going to experience a great stay. The facilities across the hotel were fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet had great quality and choice on offer, the shows in the theatre were well produced and the gym and leisure facilities were simply great. We have already booked our return trip in a few weeks and cannot recommend this family hotel enough, it’s amazing for couples or families. The hotel is very well managed and the service of the whole of the staff really enhanced our stay. Thanks!

The service / staff are amazing here. There is a Portuguese girl on reception who is really sweet and another European girl on reception too. There is a cocktail specialist in the bar who really knows his stuff (I think he’s Indian). Staff at the breakfast in the morning are really good too! Try the oat milk latte. Big disappointments are: the single beds are uncomfortable in the twin rooms with awful pillows. The pool in the spa is a bit dirty, the lighting gives the perception that the environment is cleaner than it actually is. The breakfast has no fresh fruit, surely you can provide daily watermelon, fresh pineapple and melon etc.

The location was fantastic with views over the Marina and the little island with the Fort. The breakfast was good and the customer service was wonderful, we got our room upgraded due to an check in error made causing a delay. We were very happy with the upgraded room. The only thing that could be improved was the Spa treatments as there was only 1 person that did the massage and he was booked out during our weekend trip. More spa treatments should be made available with more than 1 staff member. Also the lady who did nails, manicure/pedicures was also not available during the weekend.

Had a lovely time - the room overlooking the bay provided the best view and it was a dream to wake up to the sound of waves every morning. Can't beat the location and there are several restaurants nearby as well as the hotels own which was really convenient for drinks in the evening and for a quick lunch between beach sessions. Everything was clean and quiet and service was friendly and even called to tell us our room was ready earlier than planned.

Very good service, the front desk is very enthusiastic, and the room service is also very good: 1. We encountered three problems, all of which were solved within 5 minutes. 3. The location is excellent, only 3 minutes away from the bus station, behind is the city center (central market), and it is very close to all the Internet celebrity restaurants (except Oyster box and other restaurants on the beach) 4. Visited this hotel as a large group- celebration on Sunday who mostly had a roast dinner. We then went into the bar area for drinks which again we was well catered for. This hotel is fabulous from the food to the attentive and helpful staff members - you should be so proud of the customer service they deliver If you visit Jersey try this hotel and eat there you will not be disappointed Thankyou all for making our family celebration amazing

We stayed at this hotel from 7 August for 3 nights as a family of 4. Really lovely hotel, we had two spacious rooms which were interconnecting. The hotel has a lovely indoor pool, there's a cold water pool to use, if you brave enough. We walked to St Helier High Street every day which was about a 15-minute walk. The hotel is on a hill so worth bearing in mind if someone has mobility issues. We didn't use it but the hotel does have a courtesy bus it lays on for guests. All staff were so friendly, from the hotel reception, the maids. In particular, Gavin on reception whom we met the first day was so welcoming and friendly. He told us about a walk round the bay at St Brelades which was well worth doing, if you good on your feet, he told us all the different bus routes, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Would definitely recommend this hotel, just wish we had stayed longer but we will visit again.
