"Abit cold in room when we got in there. But then it warmed up after some time. Cosy little room with 2 good size double beds just perfect for my family stay. Very nice breakfast and helpful staff. Will stay there again if price is good again like this time!!! Thank u"

Hotel insisted that the rooms had not been paid for in advance and that to gain access i would have to pay at the desk I have therefore paid twice for the same booking I have tried Premier Inns complaints line but end up in an endless wild goose chase and no help "

"It’s an impressive building so I was having some expectations. The room it was a bit dated in the newer part. Not many amenities as you can expect from this kind of hotel. The bar area is really nice looking over a fabulous garden and so the restaurant. On that note the food was areal let down. I have ordered a Thai green curry chicken. I was soo looking forward to this but when arrived it was a total disappointment. The chicken was probably a leftover from another meal, very dry. The sauce was nothing like green curry and the rice it was microwaved. The waitresses were very lovely and apologised and the removed it from my bill. They said that they have an agency chef! So it’s a real shame !!"

"The hotel is close to the railway station, about ten minutes' walk away, and in the city center, with shops and restaurants all downstairs, which is very convenient. The room and bathroom are very large and quiet, and the bed is very comfortable."

"Had a big problem at check in time. Had 2 separate bookings and both of them caused alot of stress and issues. Had to check in on both occasions and at one point i was charged again but luckily my payment never went through. I was notified half an hour after payment was attempted. Booking with this website caused so much confusion with the hotel rates. Rates on this site are definitely cheaper however it dors cause alot of confusion and un-necessary stress with does not help the situation. Great thanks to Vincent and Beata who were a great help and managed to solve the situation out and they did a handover in the morning and yet we had a problem!!!"

"Took myself away for the weekend. the location of this hotel was perfect for me to decide where I could go for the day. There's a lot to do in the area, from bowling with an arcade, soft play for children, and cinema. A good selection of places for food and drinks. The train station isn't too far away and opens up a lot more places. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They give recommendations and help direct to whatever you need / want. The staff also on arrival ask I'd you have a preferred floor. Stayed here 3 times. I would definitely recommend and stay again if needed to."

"Spacious relaxing hotel set by the riverside, lovely walks through the nature reserve from the hotel and a fantastic location for sightseeing in the town centre. The pool and spa were also an added bonus and it was very relaxing sitting out under the fairy lights with the river views."

"Couple with dog. For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did. On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us. We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did! I have a video of the water pressure. On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!"

"I got to the hotel around 5 pm and there was no one at the reception. I went to the restaurant and a young gentleman said he can help me check in. At first he couldn't find my booking as I had done it through TRIPS.COM. He eventually found it I went to my room. The room had AC which worked fine. I had a good night sleep. In the morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and asked for vegetarian option. He asked if I would like vegetarian sausage and how many if so. I ordered two and also asked for oat milk which he kindly brought for me. I then went to the counter to get other vegetarian food (mushroom, tomato, baked beans, hash browns) and toast. I had a good breakfast with coffee and orange juice. There was no credit card blocks and check out was just a drop of the card into a box on my exit. Will recommend this hotel to anyone. Clean and functional."

"Hotel is a mixture of old and new parts. We were in the original part of the hotel which was very nice, very large bathroom, nice bedroom with air con. The down side was that there was not a lift available and the steps on the stairs to the top floor bedrooms were quite narrow, but overall a lovely hotel with two car parks and the food was very nice. Would definitely stop there again."
