We needed a hotel room close to Catania’s airport because we had an early morning flight. I was reluctant to book at this hotel because it got horrible reviews. I took a chance and we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is reasonably priced, the rooms are clean and it’s really close to the airport! They have free shuttle service to and from the airport. We needed a 5am shuttle and they were right on time! We were scared to eat there after all the negative reviews, but the food and wine was great! They had a friendly staff and provided great personal service! We both had delicious pasta dishes and actually all the food looked good! The only negative was the look of the hotel outside. They clearly need to fix up the property on the outside, but I’d prefer a clean room and a good dinner! Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, this hotel is perfect for a one night stay before or after a flight!

Fantastic structure. Perfectly nestled in nature. Direct lift to the beach. Resort-like in some respects but luxurious. Many relaxation areas and many sporting activities. Or recreational. The sunsets and sunrises are unique. To try.

Some remarks: on Saturday night the music from the rooftop was loud. Our bathroom toilet was a bit smelly, but not unbearably so. We had drinks on the rooftop, where there was w nice urban vibe.Breakfast was delicious.

The room was okay. The staff was okay. The breakfast wasn’t really good. There wasn’t any kind of fruits, just pastries joghurt and two kind of cold cuts. and streets were really so i wouldn’t go there again. I think if you go to palermo you should go to an apartman or airbnb. We should do that too

We spent a fantastic week in this hotel. It was amazing to have direct access to a beautiful private beach as well as an infinity pool. There were plenty of loungers to relax. The location was great, right on the sea side and close to the train station. The shuttle service provided by the hotel that takes you into Taormina was also excellent. The staff were all super friendly too. However I felt that there was a lack of affordable meal options and the breakfast offering became monotonous after some days. Overall a very special place that I look forward to returning to one day.

Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big bathrooms. One of our rooms had a view of the hills and the other was street side. My mom's room had a huge balcony that we spent time on soaking up the sun and the sounds of the city. My main reason for writing this review to highlight the AMAZING care the staff provided to my mom and her friend. They caught COVID and were quarantined to this hotel. I was terrified leaving them in Sicily while I went home but the staff took such good care of them. They knew their room number and would ask how my mom was feeling when she called to order breakfast (which is a great breakfast by the way). They helped coordinate retesting. They reassured my mom and were always available to help. My mom and her friend were living off room service and would rave about how great the food and wine was. One employee in particular, Barbara, went above and beyond. She would stop by to see my mom and help her with whatever she needed, such as going to the supermarket to get medical supplies. They were stuck there over Easter and she even brought my mom a chocolate Easter bunny :) and she brought them flowers too and it really brightened their day. My mom and her friend both said she had such a pleasant personality and made them feel cared about and loved. I truly believe their great service actually helped my mom and her friend recover quicker. It was so reassuring knowing that they were in caring hands. We want to go back as soon as they can and will pick this hotel again. Thank you everyone who works there!

The hotel is perfect for enjoying the sea and is very comfortable in the centre. The structure is new and very clean. The price quality was excellent. The rooms are well furnished and with the refrigerator. Also very recommended for a varied and abundant breakfast. The staff, all young, is innocent. The windows of the first floor are very small. I liked it and I hope I'll be back soon.

Currently here having a lovely stay at this hotel, yes it's a bit faded round the edges but that only adds to its charm. The views from the front of the hotel and the pool area are spectacular. Sat at the pool bar watching Etna letting off steam at the moment. The staff are very pleasant and breakfast round the pool is a treat. We have one of the few cheaper rooms without a view but on the plus side it is huge and lovely and cool. Location is fabulous opposite the gardens and a short walk to the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again

We are not inclined to reviews but this was compulsory. We celebrated and celebrated our wedding at the Grand Hotel Villa Polit. The day was inconceivable beyond any desire, the banquet a success. We thank the chef, the kitchen and room staff, the master, the property and the management, but more than for the wonderful event for the kindness and patience of helping us organize it. The customer care and attention are the element that makes the difference for us and Dr. Cannizzaro and Mr. Russian accompanied us step by step with commitment and dedication.Clean and elegant rooms and staff in reception ready to accept the most varied requests. Say that we would advise it is reducing, say little: 6 stars!

Close to the city center and main shopping area. Car not needed and parking in the area of the city a challenge. Room was spacious and tidy but needed updating. The refrigerator only functions when you're in the room making it a challenge to keep anything cold. Comfortable shower but the door barely worked as some plastic hardware was brittle and broke. Friendly staff was helpful when approached but did not go out of their way to anticipate problems. Breakfast was extensive and the bar (coffee) staff very friendly and professional. Note that we booked two rooms in anticipation of a working family member but had to cancel one after she got COVID. The hotel refused to provide a refund for the cancelled room AND we paid additional for an extended stay in the remaining room as we waited for a negative test while she quarantined in another location. Additionally, while the staff (mostly) observed COVID protocol, most of the guests did not.

Excellent stay, room with a wonderful sea view, abundant breakfast, very professional receptionist service, excellent price. At the end of my stay I paid only 4€ of taxes in total for 2 people.

Because it is the last stop of the journey, and considering the hotel chain, our vigilance is reduced. When I went to breakfast, I didn't lock the suitcase. When I returned to China, I found that one thousand yuan in the suitcase was gone. I suspect it was stolen in this hotel, because there are lock boxes in other places, and staying here. The RMB in front of the hotel has always been there. I have seen the experience of other people before I traveled. I know that Italy has such a theft incident. I didn’t expect it to happen to myself. I can only blame myself for being too big.

Never in any destination I’ve meet a staff so friendly, funny, helpful and generous. The hostel has everything you need, kitchen, free food, music instruments, play rooms, amazing outdoor areas, bar, and a pool is upcoming too. The rooms are really clean and spacey. Bed and room temperature is comfortable. The only problem was that I had to leave.

The room was spacious and well equipped, with two beds, bedside tables, a large chair, a desk, a fridge, television, but most importantly an air-conditioning unit. Everything was in good working order. The outlet plugs are the strange italian 3-pin ones as opposed to the usual Europe 2-pin model, so not all our adaptors worked. Bathroom was decent and has everything one would expect. The shower is rather on the small side and could do with higher water pressure. More than ample lighting in the room. Our only real complaint of the stay is that every single night (we stayed 5 nights) there was an awful noise and commotion coming from directly below the hotel’s balcony - some kind of odd party going on every night. Unsure if this was related to the hotel itself or not. This noise continued well into 02:00H / 2am. I messaged reception every night that ‘il rumore é troppo forte’ but nothing was ever done. Dinner was absolutely awful - shocking quality at extortionate prices; hardly anything traditionally italian either. Save yourself and go somewhere local or in the city centre. Much better and cheaper elsewhere. Location seems good but public transport in the area is abysmal and should not be relied upon. Taxis are incredibly expensive, especially for tourists. Apart from those issues it was a good stay and would stay again. I just wouldn’t dine in the restaurant ever again, and would probably request a room away from that god-forsaken balcony.

large room, plenty of space where we didn't feel cramped. large bath which was great. nice sheets and towels. a pleasant location right on the ocean. a bit noisy but not bad. friendly front desk. make sure you see all the sites you can -- Mt. Etna.

One of the best service in all my life! I was in an emergency in the middle of the night, I called more than 10 hotel/b&b in Catania and NOONE accepted my reservation ( hotel 4 star too and so on ). At 03.30 a.m. I found this place and Mr Domenico was so kind to give me a room for the night so I could rest for few hours before my flight. If he didn't help me I would have slept in my car close to the airport. Bad experience with an HAPPY ending thanks to him. I Recommend 100%! Uno dei migliori servizi in tutta la mia vita! Ero in emergenza nel cuore della notte, ho chiamato più di 10 hotel/b&b a Catania e NESSUNO ha accettato la mia prenotazione (anche hotel 4 stelle e così via). Alle 03:30 ho trovato questo posto e il signor Domenico è stato così gentile da darmi una stanza per la notte in modo che potessi riposarmi qualche ora prima del mio volo. Se non mi avesse aiutato avrei dormito in macchina vicino all'aeroporto. Brutta esperienza con un lieto fine grazie a lui. Consiglio al 100%!

The service staff are very kind, enthusiastic and help solve various problems! Since the flight arrives in the middle of the night, contact the hotel to book the pick-up beforehand, and the room will be reserved until midnight. The driver who picked up the airport was also very kind. Even in the cold midnight, I felt that the driver warmly welcomed you and assisted in getting on and off the luggage! Hotel location is located in the city center, restaurants, department stores are nearby, walking distance! I was very surprised to find that the Christmas market was right next to the hotel. I was very happy. The mood becomes more beautiful! Will visit again next time

The hotel transferred by bus is far from the airport. Clean, the surrounding environment is very good, there is a restaurant on the first floor, and there is a swimming pool on the top floor, but it is not open because of the epidemic. The front desk will be in English.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Biai Verde in Catania Italy. Its an old school elegant type of hotel on the coast - they were in the process of refinishing the outside access to the sea. Although the pool does not officially open until June (I snuck in) and its a great pool. The Breakfast was included and was really significant. Parking was free as was the NET - Room was very clean and they have old school maids that do a nice job - the Hotel has not yet been impacted by the green wave so you get new towels every day. Staff was kind and helpful. If returning to the aera I would stay there again. Special thanks to Matt from the Front Desk - he was very help before we arrived and attentive while we were there and he helped make our stay a great one - a positive attitude goes a long way!

Except for a few individuals, the staff was unfriendly, especially at the spa, the reception, and the breakfast room. Every time we had to make a basic request , they gave us the impression that we were bothering them. Like asking for a freshly squeezed Orange juice, or for towels. The room (a suite) had no towels, and we had to ask twice to get them…We stayed there during the saint valentine and the spa was just unpractical since it was way too crowded. There were no beverages or fruits inside like you can find in most of the spas, and the staff was particularly unfriendly. During the evening, the music was so loud that we had the impression to sleep in a discotheque and when we asked until when they intended to play the lousy music, the answer was rude and just unacceptable. We understand the need to celebrate saint valentine with music to dance, but this should not happen at the cost of other guests‘s tranquility, and certainly not by justifying it in a rude way. .

Posizione centralissima (piazza Stesicoro); camera fresca pulita e davvero confortevole; servizio caloroso e sincero; colazione ricca di tutto ciò che può essere gradito al mattino; si possono lasciare gratuitamente i bagagli il giorno della partenza; il bus da e per aeroporto ferma praticamente a 10 metri esatti. Questa struttura ha un suo proprio stile che lo rende affascinante. La mia bella Sicilia è questo e tanto altro ancora.

I stayed at this hotel for one week in October 2023. This was my first time in Sicily and my first time in Palermo. I had a very memorable experience indeed! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They are also very spacious! The hotel is also located in an excellent location close to the Mercato Ballaro and it's just right around the corner from Piazza Politeama. The staff were all very friendly, polite, and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of going to Palermo!
