Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, also known as Doi Suthep Temple, is a famous Buddhist holy site in Chiang Mai. It was founded in 1383 AD. The temple gate has 309 steps, flanked by two long dragon sculptures as guardians. Hence, it is called the Twin Dragons Temple. 📖Legend has it that the King of Lan Na released a white elephant carrying a relic of the Buddha's shoulder bone into the jungle.
