Dushanzi Grand Canyon Guide

The Dushanzi Grand Canyon is located at the northernmost end of the Duku Highway. A broad and profound canyon has been carved out on the black-gray sedimentary layer plateau, and over thousands of years, rainwater has sculpted the valley walls on both sides into a stone forest-like appearance. From a distance, the Dushanzi Grand Canyon has distinct lines and is filled with a rugged and vigorous beauty, resembling a dark gray sea of forests; up close, one is shocked by the unique terrain that looks like it has been carved by thousands of knives, truly experiencing the awe of what is called 'the work of gods and spirits'. TIPS: The scenic area does not have strict entry and exit times, allowing visitors to stay from sunrise to sunset. Only the amusement facilities operate from 9:30 to 19:00, so those who do not participate in the activities can enjoy photographing the scenery to their heart's content. Photography: We camped in the scenic area's parking lot, which gave us the opportunity to shoot both at sunrise and sunset. The observation deck and amusement facilities are all on the east bank, mainly viewing the canyon on the west bank, so during sunset, the backlight is suitable for shooting rocks with a deep and cool style. At sunrise, facing the light, one can see the process of the orange morning light illuminating the canyon from top to bottom, especially during sunrise when the light is soft and the colors are strong.
