Most beautiful Buddha statue I have ever seen in my life. You just enter into the place and you will be amazed to see the statue itself. Very vast area to walk around. It cost 200 bhat per person. I have covered most of the area but it takes a day to completely cover The Grand Palace and The Reclining Buddha. Loved it. Do note that the temple is currently undergoing some renovations, but you can still visit the temple, and also go inside to have a view of the 46m long sleeping Buddha. Shoes will have to be removed before one can go in the temple with the sleeping Buddha. The whole place is actually quite big and there's a lot of other buildings at Wat Pho to explore. Do note that there is an entry fee of 200baht for foreign visitors. After the visit, I will also recommend for you to board the local ferry nearby of which it brings you across the Chao Praya River to Wat Arun. #timetotravel After visiting Wat Arun, we took the ferry across the river to Wat Pho. I recall the cost of the ride was ~ 5 baht (~1 HKD) which is extremely affordable. To enter, there is an entrance fee of 200 baht (~45 HKD), you have to dress modestly and no shoes are allowed. There are bags provided so that visitors can hold onto their shoes without leaving them at the entrance. The reclining buddha (pic 4) is definitely massive, majestic and impressive. #bangkok It is a Wat Pho with a huge Buddha statue 46m long and 15m high. This is what Sakyamuni looks like right before entering Nirvana. They were selling 20 baht coins right in front of the statue. It seemed like they were praying by buying the coin and putting it one by one in a box placed side by side. When you go to see Buddha statue, take off your shoes and put them in a small bag. You can't wear sleeveless shirts or short bottoms. If you wear short bottoms, they lend you a skirt in front of the ticket office :) You can wear that and go in.
