Hotel 888: The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, offering dedicated shuttle services for both pick-up and drop-off. The environment, facilities, and service are all excellent, providing great value for money. We even received a complimentary welcome gift upon check-in. Eating out is very convenient with many options downstairs, and it's quiet at night.
This might have been the best place I have ever stayed at! The rooms are new, clean spacious! The bed is very comfortable. The view from the room of Yulong snow mountain is fantastic! Apart from that the staff working in the hotel are amazing, super kind and friendly, welcoming and helping you with everything you need. For example carrying our luggage up to the room and giving us advice about the city.
Free breakfast was good. The free evening ******* butter tea was also a great experience.
Free parking was also provided.
Lastly, thank you for upgrading our rooms for free, we are very thankful!
I recommend everyone to stay at this homestay, everything was perfect!

Extremely satisfied with this hotel! Since it's newly opened, all the facilities are perfect, and there were plenty of washing machines available in the laundry room. It's located right in the old town, so stepping out, you're surrounded by all sorts of snacks and street food, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are large shopping malls all around. Most importantly, the service was exceptionally good too!

This is an excellent spot for people who are visiting Lijiang. It is within Lijiang Old Town which has so much to do. There are tons of places to stay, but this place is right outside the north gate, about 200M. Very accessible and drivers/tour groups to Tiger Leaping Gorge/Jade Dragon Mountain can easily pick you up from here.
It is within Lijiang Old Town so cars cannot come in. Don’t make the mistake of not messaging ahead of time that you need a cart to take your luggage like I did. They will come pick you up free of charge. Add them on WeChat and they will respond quickly to any requests. The place has 2 entrances, one is a coffee shop. They have tea and snacks, plus a lovely garden for guests. There is plenty of space to put your bags and comes with a humidifier for the drier air. I highly recommend this to travellers who are coming from afar. The breakfast was great as well.

We had a great stay, and the best thing about the experience was the staff! They were super helpful: met us upon arrival at the drop off location and helped us with our luggage, helped us book last minutes tickets to Yulong Snow Mountain, gave us a free room upgrade, helped us book our onward transportation and always offering tea and fruits whenever we came back from our activities.
The location was great, the bed was super comfortable and it was overall a very pleasant stay - would definitely stay again and recommend for other travelers.

This hotel's location is truly fantastic! The area right outside is bustling, and it's super convenient for walking around and finding places to eat. I really regret not choosing it when I first arrived in Kunming, and it's a shame I only stayed one night.
It's only a few hundred meters from Nanqiang Street and Kunming Old Street, so you can walk there very quickly. There are also several large shopping malls nearby, so everything you need is right at your fingertips.
The hotel is quite new, and the room facilities are all pretty good. It was a very comfortable stay.
I do have a small suggestion: even if you close the shower door carefully, it still bangs quite loudly. I'm worried it might break if someone isn't paying attention.
Also, the fragrance in the hotel lobby isn't very pleasant; it has a slightly common or cheap smell. I'd suggest switching to a fresher scent. That would make for a much more pleasant first impression when guests walk in, haha.
There's a Majia Beef Pancake stall downstairs that always has a long queue. Out of curiosity, I bought two – one beef and one beef with preserved vegetables. The plain beef one was definitely more fragrant and tastier. The latter was good for the first bite, but then it became overpoweringly salty. It's probably not worth waiting in such a long line for; it's not a must-try.

The room is really well decorated and well furnished. The view from the room is spectacular too! There were scooters you can rent right in front of the building which is so convenient for you to ride around the Erhai Lake! There is also a 24 hrs convenience store in the building and food stalls opposite the building.

This was my first time in Kunming, and I initially booked the wrong dates for another hotel, but everything happens for a reason, and it led me to book this place. The area outside is very quiet, feels like a pedestrian street, which is lovely. Inside, it's also beautiful. It's only my first day checking in, and I couldn't wait to post a review!
The service is excellent too. As soon as I walked in, a lobby attendant helped me with my luggage. The hotel only has three floors, and even though there's no elevator, the attendant helped carry my bags upstairs. My luggage was really heavy, so I truly appreciate his effort. The front desk ladies were also wonderful and very patient.
The laundry service is convenient: you just put your clothes in a bag, leave it by your door, and the staff will wash, dry, and return them to your room.
They also offer breakfast, afternoon tea, and a goodnight dessert. You need to pre-select your breakfast the day before – I'll try it tomorrow. But the afternoon tea and goodnight dessert were truly delicious! Even though I booked this place last minute, I was genuinely impressed.
The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly.
**Facilities**
We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish.
**Cleanliness**
It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed.
**Dining**
The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead.
**Surroundings**
It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation.
**Summary**
High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

We stayed for three days in total. On the first day, since there were no rooms available, we stayed at Chenyao. The room itself was very small, which was clearly stated on the booking page, but the facilities weren't great. First, the faucet would splash water everywhere if turned on too much, and if turned on too little, it would leak from behind onto the floor, which was quite uncomfortable. Secondly, the heating wasn't very effective, and even after staff came to fix it, it didn't improve much. Plus, the room was right next to the public cafe, so it was very noisy during the day when people were around. For the next two days, we stayed in the Tanchun room type. The hotel upgraded us for free, and the room itself was quite good, with decent facilities and a nice view. However, the hotel staff's service attitude wasn't very good. Hotel breakfast was from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. One day, we wanted to leave early and asked for breakfast at 8:00 AM, but they insisted we wait until 8:20 AM. The next day, we woke up later and by 10:10 AM, everything had already been cleared away. Couldn't they have offered us some non-perishable items like bread? Also, if you're not in good physical condition, you should think twice about staying here because while you can drive up to the hotel, getting down to the ancient town requires climbing many steep steps, which makes going back and forth quite inconvenient.

Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new.
On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp.
Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

YYunduodelvtuI specifically chose this hotel to see the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains from bed. The service was excellent, with a 24-hour butler. The room offered a 180-degree view directly facing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the courtyard was spacious, with photo-op decorations on the rooftop. The ambiance was absolutely stunning. The room was equipped with a humidifier and heater, and afternoon tea was provided. Breakfast was served as a set menu, and the rice noodles were incredibly delicious. The most delightful surprise was Sanjin, who was adorable and incredibly well-behaved. Sanjin greeted guests politely, allowed cuddles, and even licked hands enthusiastically. Truly a sweetheart!

MM26269****Facilities: The shower pressure was great, very comfortable!
Cleanliness: Decent enough.
Environment: The soundproofing was pretty good. Around 10 PM, I could hear some people outside shouting slogans, perhaps doing a formation drill or something. The street was lively, but all other sounds were well-isolated.
Service: Quite good. The auntie was very enthusiastic, and the young lady at the front desk was also lovely.
Xishuangbanna Jinghong Gasa Airport private pick-up: The recommended restaurants were all delicious!!!

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
GGuest UserBanyan Tree Hotels consistently deliver on quality, and this is my second consecutive ***** New Year staying here. Both times, the hotel butler upgraded me to a villa with a massage pool, which was a delightful surprise, especially during such a busy period. The minibar drinks and fruits are all complimentary, which is fantastic for replenishing drinks and snacks after a day of exploring Lijiang. The hotel also provides a dedicated butler service. While many hotels offer this, Banyan Tree's butler service is exceptional. Our butler, Elin, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She proactively contacted us daily to arrange restaurant reservations and provide outing reminders. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved quickly, and she even responded to our messages late at night – truly a 24/7 service. A big thank you again to the wonderful and meticulous Butler Elin!
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I had a good sleep. The hotel has a strategic location, convenient transportation and convenient travel. The hotel has complete facilities, elegant hotel environment, exquisite decoration and tasteful decoration. The breakfast at the hotel is rich and varied. The pineapple rice is delicious. The rice noodles cooked by the aunt are more delicious than those in restaurants outside. The driver recommended by the hotel, Master Li, is super enthusiastic. The car is very clean and well maintained. He has a strong sense of service and responsibility and treats his work very well. Serious and responsible, he always pays attention to tourists' requirements. We sometimes play very late and never rush him. He is super patient. He also made a guide before coming. Master Li optimized the itinerary according to our requirements. He is trustworthy, super recommended, and super energetic young man. .

__APC502968****This time, my boyfriend and I traveled together and stayed for 3 nights. Because the same room type was fully booked, we had to change to an upstairs room on the second day. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic and always offered to help us move our large suitcases, they were so kind! One night, my boyfriend suffered from altitude sickness in the early hours, and I messaged the owner. They replied instantly and brought us an oxygen tank, constantly checking in on us, which was truly touching! The breakfast every day was freshly cooked and fragrant rice noodles. The room was also very spacious and clean. In terms of location, it's very close to Sanyue Street, great for shopping, and also close to the ancient city. You can even rent an electric scooter from the owner! There's also a billiard table downstairs for entertainment! I have to say it again, the owner is really, really nice!! I didn't actually take any photos of the hotel, but the environment is really good!
__WeChat21847****They proactively upgraded our room for an early check-in. The room was clean, spacious, and bright, with a very pleasant sea view. It was thoughtful of them to label the switches and appliances. All the electrical appliances were new and very clean. The butler assigned to us was very responsive, replied promptly on WeChat, and even offered to arrange airport/train station pickup. The takeaway food they recommended was also delicious. I highly recommend staying here before ending your Dali trip, as it's very close to both the airport and the high-speed rail station. We decided to visit Weishan on our last free day, and it was a convenient day trip, putting a perfect end to our journey.
Bbellibellevery nice hotel with super duper friendly staff and fabulous service. they tried to accommodate to anything we need. views were suberb as well. cleanliness was tiptop, well stocked with amenities. definitely will stay again/ recommend to friends.
