This hotel offers a reasonably sized room with good cleanliness. The location is convenient, as it is close to Russell Square underground station. The staff are friendly and very helpful, providing useful information.
However, the bathroom does not provide any amenities, so guests need to bring their own toiletries. The water system is not very good—the water tends to be too hot, and it is quite difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. On the positive side, the hotel provides daily housekeeping service.
The Wi-Fi signal is strong, but the speed is not very fast. There is only one power outlet available for charging phones, which can be inconvenient when three people are sharing the room and need to take turns charging their devices.
The hotel is okay overall. It has a good location, especially if you have a flight the next day, as it’s close to the bus stop. It is a bit far from the city center, but transportation is easy and convenient.
The food is decent. However, the place is not very clean the tissue we found looked used and had green stains and finger marks on it. Aside from that issue, the rest of the place was generally clean. O also no coffee and hair dryer 😩😩 tho maybe u can request

Great location, overall decent, solid 4-star hotel, recommended.
Location: Very convenient to Tower Hill tube station, the Tower of London, and Tower Bridge, all within a 5-10 minute walk.
Facilities: Well-maintained overall, though the soundproofing isn't great, and the bathroom is a bit basic with a splashing faucet and a cramped shower.
Cleanliness: Very good, housekeeping kept it clean throughout my stay.
Service: Quite friendly.
Not far from the airport, a quick bus ride away. The room was clean and quiet. The front desk service was excellent. The price was also quite reasonable. I'd consider staying here again next time.
The location is excellent with very good transport links, making it easy to get around the city. Breakfast was available and offered a nice start to the day. I also enjoyed the dining experience — the food was satisfying and well presented. The reception staff were especially helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. Overall, a convenient and comfortable choice for visiting London.

The hotel was in a great location, a quick walk from Kensington High Street tube, and a pleasant 20mins walk to Notting Hill.
The hotel itself in entering was very pleasant, looked inviting (with a Starbucks to one side but still within the same atmosphere and decoration)
The staff were all friendly, concierge being the most willing and happy to help.
The room was a bit disappointing. Appeared very grey and dark on entrance, but everything was clean had what you needed. TV was opposite a small settee, but far more comfortable to sit in the bed so the tv was across to the right, feel the room was too small to have a settee/sitting area as it was immediately next to the door. Didn’t feel inviting. But after the initial disappointment it didn’t need to be much more for our needs.
We then used the pool area. Again a bit like the rooms this is a tired looking area, the pool sides stained and peeling bits here and there. The hot tub and steam room were both closed, but swam a few lengths and then used the sauna which was within the changing room area. Sauna was good hot enough too!
We were going to have room service as a bit of a novelty, but thought the bar area looked nicer to sit for an hour or so so had a meal there. This was the biggest disappointment and extremely over priced. I was possibly unlucky and ordered the wrong thing, but would not eat here again.
I ordered ‘Crushed avocado on a toasted bruschetta with slow roasted tomatoes’ and a side of chunky chips.
This can as a dollop of cheap guacamole on a slice of french basic baguette with half a cherry tom on top, 3 of these! I personally can’t eat guacamole on its own so had to scrape most of it off to then eat the bread (and only did because I was by then hungry)
Besides that I would stay again but would rather not have paid the price we did.

Pros:
- Decently sized, standard layout and comfortable rooms.
- Rooms are quite clean, service in general was nothing too special but gets the job done!
- Convenient location near buses and metro to Central London / Oxford for a day trip, close to Westfield London which has great number of F&B outlets, supermarkets and shops.
Cons:
- Housekeeping was inconsistent; stayed for 6 days, everyday was missing something different, not being replenished in the room; could be tea, coffee, hand towels, tissue paper, toilet paper etc… had to keep calling for service every night throughout the stay. If housekeeping had set up the room in standard, hassle could be alleviated from all parties as it takes the housekeeping more than 20 minutes every time to bring the items.
- Both toilet paper rolls were removed unexpectedly one night, even when we certainly left the room with them both in the morning which I find a bit funny as there wasn’t even a need to replenish - but simply removed.
- Clock timing was incorrect 6 days throughout the stay and nobody clocked that nor changed it.
- Slight wear and tear in the room but nothing too major affecting our stay apart from the bathtub glass panel seam being broken and water kept coming out of the shower.
- Emergency alarms went off at 730AM with no explanation.
- There was daily construction noise and one day the workers and equipments were all outside our room for a good 4 hours in the morning to afternoon time. Again, I don’t blame it because maintenance is important but a notice would be nice.
Overall, I think the hotel gets its job done, the room and location were decent and comfortable. It’s the housekeeping and maintenance fell below expectations.
The room I booked was supposed to be a brand new suite, but it wasn't. It was completely different to the picture I was sent. The bed was nice and comfortable. Luckily I took some tea bags and milk with me, as only 2 tea bags were there!!. I went down for dinner and had a yummy steak and ale pie.
Got up, had a shower and packed ready for the bus to the airport. Got the bus ok, and got to the airport in plenty of time.
Not a great experience for an IHG hotel for the first time. The staffs (except for the manager) were unfriendly and not proactive in their service. There was no smile on their faces when you engage them. Also, for the first time, our hotel card was deactivated because we apparently put too close to our mobile phones or other cards, which made no sense. No amenities are provided unless you request for it and it took them an hour to send a toothbrush up.
Floor is also not cleaned properly. We shifted the table and there was so many crumbs on the floor. Worst experience ever.
Our stay at the Hilton Canary Wharf this time truly exceeded expectations – it was a fantastic experience! As a family of four, we booked the large family room, and the king-size bed, which was 2.2 meters wide, plus a 1.5-meter sofa bed, comfortably accommodated all four of us. What's more, the room was 65 square meters, which is incredibly rare for a hotel in London. I was initially a bit concerned about outdated facilities when booking, but it turned out to be quite good; overall, it was clean, tidy, and not at all old. The breakfast was also quite substantial, good enough that we didn't get tired of it even after three days. The hotel is very close to the DLR station, about a 4-minute walk, and a bit further from the Jubilee Line – roughly an 8-minute walk across a small bridge. So, transportation is quite convenient.

JJane StaceyI have stayed at the Dilly on numerous occasions and never been disappointed. But this time, unfortunately, it didn’t quite tick all the boxes for me.
I booked the Dilly because it was my daughter‘s birthday while we were staying and on previous occasions I had stayed for my own birthday and a friends . The Dilly always made it feel special.
I did email the hotel and informed them it was my daughter’s birthday plus when we checked in and left our bags earlier that morning on arrival, we was asked was it for any occasion and I told the reception staff that it was for my daughter’s birthday. We arrived earlier than check-in and the room was not ready which we didn’t expect it to be. We just wanted to leave the cases which wasn’t a problem. We was told that we would be priority when a room was ready and would contacted us when it was available, which was great. But we intended on going shopping anyway so that wasn’t a problem at all. We were willing to wait till 3 o’clock for the check-in time anyway.
We never got a call to say that the room was ready but we came back to the hotel around 3:30. We were allocated a room on the second floor. I had booked a superior King. The room was nice. It was just on the same hallway as the dining room.
When we entered the room, I must admit I expected it to have some recognition of my daughter‘s birthday. Normally they write on the mirrors with some fruit and chocolate treats but there was nothing at all. I did go down to reception without my daughter, knowing because obviously she was unaware as she had not stayed at the Dilly before and I had a word with reception to see if they had stopped recognising when you were celebrating a special occasion. The lady said had I not informed them that it was her birthday to customer Relations which I told her I had and she said leave it with me and she would sort it out and asked when her birthday was , which was the next day. True to her word when we got back to the room the day after it was all trimmed up with sweet treats bottle of Prosecco and balloons on the bed which was amazing and i was so happy that Dilly had done and more than I expected in the first place.
I rang reception straight where to thank them for what they had provided for my daughter’s birthday and the recognition of the lady that had done it for her. Reception told me that there was no one from custom Relations on that evening but they would pass the message on in the morning.
Later to that evening. I had a phone call from reception, from lady saying that she was customer Relations and asking me if I wanted the room trimming up and it would be £90 for my daughter‘s birthday! I was most confused and said the Room had already been trimmed up! She told me she was just reading her emails about me requesting the room to be trimmed and that they charge £90 for it and I said to her I’d never ask for the room to be trimmed. I just had said it was my daughter‘s birthday and even if I had it would be a bit late to be ringing me at 6:40 at night on the day of their birthday to see if I wanted it trimming up it really just didn’t make sense to me at all which I told us or too. She told me that I wouldn’t be charged for the decorations that had already been done and rightly so as that’s not what I had requested and I’m not going to lie it did spoil what they had provided.
When I booked the Dilly Hotel this time I didn’t actually book it through their website. I booked it through another company and didn’t realise that it was having renovations done. If I had I maybe would not have booked it to be honest. Although it didn’t massively impact our holiday as you are not in your hotel all the time. It was in the main reception and our room was on the second floor not only was it noisy because of the location near the dining room people walk past and being loud from early in the morning there was also noise from the works that was being done.
With exception of the staff on arrival I found the r
GGuest UserThe Holiday Inn's facilities and management are consistently reliable. The hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk from the DLR light rail station. In the morning, there's a small restaurant open in the garden, so you can take a shortcut through the garden to the light rail station. In the afternoon, you have to go under the bridge. I stayed for four or five days and didn't encounter any safety issues. The hotel breakfast is excellent; due to jet lag, I was always ravenous and ate a lot. The breakfast includes coffee, fruit, vegetable salad, various breads, milk, sausages, yogurt, oats, and juice. The breakfast hours are also quite long, which really helped my jet-lagged stomach. Also, the city of London is beautiful and well worth a visit.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.
TTravel around the world FannySo far so good
Price in London is reasonable
Hotel parking need to be paid but so common in London £15 per day
Room not bad at least clean
Very close to station
Staff always too busy need to wait for like 15-30mins to ask them
For help
__alalei_【A Must for Business Trips】The location is perfect for work! It's close to the business district and subway station. The room has a spacious workspace with plenty of power outlets. The printing and copying services are efficient, and the soundproofing is excellent, so you won't be disturbed even when working late at night. The value for money far exceeds other hotels of its kind~
PPercy catI was found some food inside the mini bar which was the previous customer…OMG..the fridge was not cold enough even I’ve informed them to fix it….
The air conditioning was not cool.
The location of socket was so bad and insufficient, only got a pair of it in the entire room.
The room was very old design.
The receptionist was impatient to me, unfriendly, no magic word while check in.
GGuest UserFriendly, efficient check-in. Foyer was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Rooms were more spacious than expected; well equipped, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect with transport, food options and attractions very close by. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable (same offered each day); did get a bit busy and tight (crowded) but staff were excellent at seating and arranging guests. By the second morning, my daughters’ gluten-free toast order was prepared and delivered without delay. Thank you for a great stay!
WWaseem197After I made booking via trip.com for 8 nights, I sent a request to hotel for two single beds instead of one king double bed in my room and also my room to be facing the river, not the back alley of the hotel. I did not receive any response/reply from the hotel until I arrived at the hotel for check-in. The staff at the check-in desk (Ms. Kalyani) told me that there is no room with two single beds available and the only rooms available are with one king size double bed + the room is facing back alley. She said the rooms facing river will cost more as they are premium rooms and if I want I will have to pay GBP35.00 more per night for 8 nights. She kept insisting that hotel staff replied to me via email/call or message that there is no room with two single beds available and facing river side. I told her several times that I have not received any message or call or email from anyone regarding this. She kept arguing and she was joined by more staff who also kept arguing. I told her that it is not acceptable that after I have made the full payment in advance, now you are telling me that you cannot give me a nice room. If I cancel at the day or check-in at hotel, I loose a significant amount of money. So, I am left with no choice but to accept whatever room is offered to me. After an hour of unreasonable arguments by the hotel staff (mainly Ms. Kalyani), I was shown a decent room facing river with a king size double bed. I specifically requested for two single beds but I was left with no choice but accept it because of the full payment in advance. This is something which trip.com and the hotel management must look into. Because if your hotel has made an agreement with trip.com to accept guests coming via trip.com, then it is the hotel's responsibility to make sure that guests requests are replied/responded on time. You cannot simply blame it on guests and ask them to check with trip.com. You are accepting bookings via several online booking agents including trip.com. It is your responsibility to check and confirm to guests any requests coming through online booking agents. Simply pushing it on guests and asking them to check with trip.com is not acceptable and this must change. In the end, Ms Kalyani (the staff at the check-in counter) stopped arguing and trying to prove her point that they are right. I have stayed in this hotel before for 4 nights and it was a good experience but this time it was not good. Although, Ms Kalyani tried to compensate me with a free breakfast voucher for two, for one day, it was not a good experience overall. The staff on the front desk in day shift and night shift are mostly very arrogant and ill mannered. They are probably paid low wages and no training provided to them to smile and be polite to guests. Mostly the flat face and rude replies with arrogance. I think the hotel management must look into replacing the Managers in day shift and night shift and also the should consider hiring people with good attitude and provide them proper training. This is not a good hotel to stay for long term, I will not recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel more than one day.
HHeshijinghuangaSafety: The hotel is located in the Kensington area, right next to the gates of Kensington Palace, so it feels very safe.
Location: Bus stops are right outside, and nearby tube stations offer direct Circle and District line access to most major London attractions.
Facilities: The hotel has been renovated, making it relatively new for London, very comfortable, and amenities are Penhaligon's.
Service: The front desk, concierge, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all very polite; normal English communication was met with no discrimination.
Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back.
