I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The room was clean, spacious, and well designed, with a comfortable bed that ensured a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any requests. I especially appreciated the smooth check-in process and the warm welcome upon arrival. The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, the hotel offered great value for money and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to others.
This hotel in Penang is located near Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Temple. I chose it because I saw that it's not far from George Town by taxi.
The hotel facilities are comprehensive enough for basic needs. Although bottled water isn't provided, there's a water dispenser on the floor, and a kettle in the room for refilling. The space is a bit small, so the bathroom layout is a little inconvenient, and you can hear the drainage sometimes. The room has independent air conditioning, and it cools down quickly once the key card is inserted.
The hotel is in a residential area nearby, so you can experience local markets and food stalls. There are a few eateries with simple yet good food.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The hotel is well located and offers convenient access to nearby attractions and transport options, which made getting around very easy.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. Housekeeping did a good job, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt calm and welcoming.
The staff were courteous and professional, and check-in and check-out were smooth. Amenities were adequate and met expectations for a comfortable stay.
Overall, it was a satisfactory experience, and I would consider staying here again in the future.
Almost every object in the main hall of this hotel has a history and a meaning, and some of them have price tags, for those who are interested in purchasing and owning them. Therefore, this hotel is more than just a hotel, it is also a museum and an antique store. Always an exceptionally and aesthetically unique experience here.
The centerpiece of this hotel is a square Zen garden, with a rectangular open sky roof that lets rain in to nourish the plants indoors. This very much adds to the relaxing ambience of the place.
One of the best places to hang out at this siz8able hotel is at the commons, where there are comfy leather couches, a TV, a fridge, a water dispenser, an ironing board and also worth mentioning a bookshelf filled with books and board games. It is open for all registered hotel guests to use, and is nicely equipped and furnished.
The hostel is on its perfect location. It has swimming pool. Working shower with heater. Also, clean toilet. I recommended place to stay for solo travelers
Excellent location, walking distance to all tourist attractions and the CAT bus stops are just 5mins walk.
The hotel has a traditional Chinese atmosphere. A small swimming pool. Room, toilet and bathroom are clean.
Excellence service, provide shuttle for morning visit to nearby markets. Walking distance to city, shopping and locals spots.
Provide a cakes surprise for birthday celebration. Love their toiletries. A very comfortable hotel, will be our preferred return hotel.
Wonderful view top infinite pool, skylift parking and excellent polite staffs.
Provide reminder for checkout and call us to check if we are doing good and need any service. Great experience, highly recommended.
Small yet nice windy skybar
It was superb during our stay at Gurney Bay Hotel! Thanks to the team for preparing an anniversary cake and decoration for us. A thing to highlight that they have also prepared the baby cot as per requested before our arrival❤️ They also prepare a cute Christmas gift for us.
Location: the hotel is near to those attraction with great food and 3D art museum. Also, there is a nice park just opposite the hotel.
It is really a relaxing trip staying at this hotel and will definitely come back again!
I have upgrade my room to 1bedroom suite. My family and I love the room. My kids enjoy the bathtub. Hotel location is good too as it is near to the airport. It only cost me about RM14 by taking grab from hotel to airport. Will definitely book again..
What truly set JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La apart was the festive atmosphere; they organized a fantastic balloon drop countdown party right in the lobby! It was such a thoughtful way to let guests celebrate in comfort without having to fight the crowds outside. Not every hotel goes to this much effort for their guests.
The location is unbeatable, strategically situated right next to Komtar. This was a massive plus for the New Year countdown, as Komtar held a spectacular fireworks display; being so close, we were able to see the show easily outside the hotel. Even though our room had a back view of Prangin Mall, the vantage point for the frequent fireworks in Georgetown was still welcomed.
A huge shoutout to the staff—the housekeeping team is lightning-fast at fulfilling amenity requests made via the mobile app. To top it off, they graciously granted us a late check-out, which made our departure so much more relaxed. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to be in the heart of Georgetown!
Trip.com should have highlighted that on the day we checked in there was a fire drill!
We could jot sleep or rest after our long drive to the hotel. Rooms very old and outdated. Bathroom was small, the bidet was on the wrong side of the toilet.
Air-conditioning was not working! Maintenance had to chg the filter but still it was bad.
Room slippers was the worst, rooms carpet was coming off the metal strip almost cut my feet.
Breakfast and the staff was a plus, but overall very noisy the room, thet need to call the pest control, I think rats running in the vents!! Great free parking but you have to take a long drive back to the lobby, a huge turn around from the parking... bad experience overall.
We stayed in G Hotel Kelawai for 5 nights. The hotel is between two shopping malls - Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. Excellent location. Another hotel nearby (about 400m) is G Hotel Gurney. Both the hotels' guests are given the option to use each other's facilities and guests are given the flexibility to have their breakfast at either hotel without any advanced notice. By the way, G Hotel Gurney is the older hotel and is directly connected to Gurney Plaza, whereas G Hotel Kelawai is less crowded and quieter, which we liked. The breakfast variety is acceptable for guests who are on a short stay. Out of curiosity, we wanted to try out the breakfast at G Hotel Gurney but were prevented from doing so because of the heavy rain. Upon request, hotel guests can commute between the two by the hotels' buggy. The 25-m swimming pool and gym in Kelawai were hardly used. Clean and well-maintained rooms.
Although the rooms at this hotel aren't huge, they are clean, tidy, and comfortable, with excellent facilities. We had a fantastic experience. We arrived early in the morning (check-in was officially at 2 PM), but we were able to check in smoothly and were even offered complimentary chilled juice by the front desk, which was a lovely touch. It's definitely worth coming back. What I miss most is the durian in Penang – it was absolutely amazing!

__WeChat325065****Our room faced the TOP building directly, so we had a perfect view of the New Year's Eve fireworks and the sunrise. Since I was traveling with friends, the hotel front desk was very thoughtful and gave us connecting rooms. The hotel is right above a night market, and not far from 7th Street Bazaar, the mural street, and banks, making it very convenient for getting around. We managed to visit all the must-see spots. There's a gym, but the equipment is old, and currently, only the dumbbells are usable.
BBeckyproThe hotel's design is quite industrial. The front desk staff can mostly communicate in English.
The room is a bit small and feels like it's cobbled together from different sections. However, it's fairly well-equipped.
Breakfast: Limited selection. They have vegetarian sandwiches, noodles, coffee, and eggs.
There's the Blue Mansion nearby, which you can visit for a fee. In the evening, there's a food court next door with a variety of food and drinks, definitely worth checking out.
11886818****Started by being 'influenced' on Xiaohongshu, ended up booking on Ctrip – I'm really incredibly satisfied with my 3-night stay at The Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
1) The Heritage Wing Suite grants access to three restaurants: Palm Court (Heritage Wing), Planters Lounge, and Sarkies, perfectly lining up with three days of breakfast options.
2) Heritage Wing Suite guests can enjoy both the Victory Annexe and Heritage Wing infinity pools.
3) Complimentary afternoon tea is available from 12 PM to 6 PM, followed by a free cocktail hour from 6 PM to 7 PM.
4) The in-room mini-fridge offers 10 free beverages, restocked daily, plus a complimentary bottle of wine.
5) The room is cleaned twice a day, in the morning and afternoon.
My only minor complaint: Upon first entering the room, there was a faint musty smell, but it quickly disappeared.
This hotel has countless photo opportunities – if you wanted to, you could easily find at least 20 different spots. I've never seen a hotel so perfect for photography. Absolutely delighted!
GGuest UserThe view was simply beautiful, especially at midnight when the sky was filled with countless stars. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming, perfect for unwinding. There were many complimentary facilities and activities available, making the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding warmth to the experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax and recharge.

GGuest UserMy family had a great time staying at PARKROYAL Penang Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive, making our stay comfortable and memorable.
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, perfect for a family stay. We especially loved the beautiful sea view and the relaxing atmosphere around the resort. The facilities were excellent, the swimming pool and kids’ areas kept our children happy, while the beachfront setting was a big plus for us adults.
Breakfast was enjoyable with a wide variety of choices, and the dining experience overall was pleasant.
Overall, it was a wonderful family getaway. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend PARKROYAL Penang Resort to families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
