Pet Friendly Hotels in Hainan, China

The HNA Airport Hotel Haikou is in a fantastic location, right next to Haikou Meilan International Airport. You can walk there or take the shuttle, making it perfect for early morning flights or layovers. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-soundproofed, so you won't hear any noise. The service is warm and friendly, and the airport shuttle service is very convenient. The facilities are comprehensive, and it offers great value for money. The only downside is that it's far from the city center, but it's ideal for travelers catching flights.

Spacious, clean, and tidy room with plenty of hot and cold water. This is the most affordable and comfortable hotel I've stayed at during my trip to Hainan. The two young women at the front desk were enthusiastic and patient. The airport shuttle service was prompt and responsible. This was my most satisfying stay. Wishing the owner even greater success! 👏

The concierge, Lulu, definitely deserves five stars! Her responses were prompt, and the hotel map and guide she sent beforehand were incredibly helpful and easy to understand. Her sincere attitude perfectly made up for a minor check-in hiccup. **Ambiance:** The hotel lobby was clean and tidy. **Facilities:** The Chinese restaurant had delicious food. **Price:** Great value for money. However, there were a few minor issues: 1. There was a disconnect in basic supply, for example, our room didn't have disposable slippers. It took nearly two hours and three reminders to get them. 2. Staff service still needs improvement. 3. Before check-in, I noticed trash at the garden entrance (as shown in image 3). After I reported it to Lulu, it was promptly taken care of. I hope the hotel can use Lulu as an example to comprehensively improve its service standards.

I'd like to start by saying the hotel's overall environment is very comfortable, giving you that rainforest vibe. The staff's attitude is also excellent. However, my stay this time was quite disappointing, and I likely won't choose this hotel again. First off, when I booked, I selected the 'early check-in 4 hours in advance' option, and when I contacted them online at the time, I was told it was successfully reserved. Yet, when I arrived at the hotel at 1 PM, there was a long queue for check-in, and I waited for quite a while. When it was finally my turn, I was informed that there were no rooms available and none had been cleaned yet. So, what was the point of reserving early check-in? After contacting Trip.com, I was told the hotel couldn't do anything about it, as the rooms weren't ready, and I'd have to wait another hour for an 'expedited' cleaning. I finally got to my room around 2 PM and immediately tried to fill the hot spring bath. The water flow was incredibly slow; after nearly two hours, it hadn't even filled halfway. I had to contact maintenance to come and check it. After about twenty minutes of repairs, the water flow finally became normal, but by then, I gave up on soaking and went to grab some food. Furthermore, the room facilities are indeed quite old. The 2-meter bed felt severely aged; just a slight turn or movement would make a loud noise, which significantly disturbed my rest. On a positive note, the hotel's Chinese restaurant and breakfast restaurant were quite good.

The hotel definitely stands out as the face of Ocean Flower Island. It's located right at the entrance to the island, and its iconic twin towers are truly magnificent, offering a visual feast without even needing to leave the building. Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient. **Facilities:** The room was incredibly spacious and bright, with a modern minimalist design. The facilities were very new, the bedding was pristine and comfortable, and the cleanliness was spotless. The bathroom was also very large, and the separate wet and dry areas were a thoughtful touch. **Service:** We checked in around noon on March 11th. The front desk lady was exceptionally warm and professional, making the check-in process efficient. She also thoughtfully provided us with a guide to exploring the island and even upgraded our room. A special thank you to the front desk lady for her service, and the bellhops were also fantastic.

I had a pretty good stay at Haiko Xizchen Hotel. The hotel is clean, modern, and feels well taken care of. Check-in was smooth, and the room was comfortable and spacious enough to relax in. The bed was comfy, everything was tidy, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The staff were polite and helpful, though it’s worth noting that they don’t really speak English, so communication can be a bit tricky if you don’t speak the local language. Still, they tried their best and were friendly. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay—quiet, clean, and good value for the price. I’d stay here again, especially if you’re okay using a translator app.

The service was incredibly warm and attentive; someone greeted us the moment we arrived and helped with our luggage. Our room was spacious, bright, and spotless, with excellent facilities. The hotel's architecture and garden design are beautiful, and the courtyard is huge and uncrowded – we spent two days exploring and still didn't see it all. Plus, there's a private beach and pool. Our child highly recommended it, and indeed, the experience was fantastic. The photographer we worked with was very skilled. When we left, we forgot some items. We returned too early to pick them up as the lost and found office wasn't open yet, but our butler quickly coordinated a perfect solution. A huge shout-out to our butler! 👍🏻 All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely choose this place again next time we visit Sanya.

Staying in Wanning for a week, then heading back to Haikou, I made a stopover in Wenchang. They upgraded my room and provided welcome fruit and a late-night congee, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast spread was quite generous, offering coconut jelly and local coffee (though a bit on the weaker side). I saw a few vehicles with people in Chinese aerospace uniforms at the hotel, but due to recent unexpected events, there are no launch plans for the near future.

The entire hotel, from the lobby to the hallways, felt dark and dim. And because it's pet-friendly, there was a persistent strange odor. However, the front desk was great; as soon as we mentioned it, they immediately sent someone to spray air freshener. For vegetarians, the breakfast options were extremely limited. Other hotels at least offer fried eggs and Chinese crullers (youtiao), but here I was stuck with plain congee and soy sauce. The front desk staff were very friendly and tried their best to accommodate any requests. The hotel can receive packages for guests, but generally, delivery services drop them off at a nearby parcel station. It's not too far, so it's acceptable. Downstairs, there's a Lawson and a regular convenience store, plus plenty of food, drinks, and snack shops in the vicinity. The hotel's location is quite convenient, but since it's in an older district, the streets downstairs were a bit dirty. Also, there were always people on motorcycles waiting for fares downstairs, and they were quite loud. The hotel offers free self-service laundry and dryers, which is a fantastic amenity!

My family and I spent one night here travelling by car around the island. The hotel is located in a picturesque place and is made in the form of a small village, so you can drive your own car directly to your apartments, it is very convenient. There are charging stations for electric vehicles including two fast ones. The apartment has a large area and is very cosy, floor heating works in the toilet room which is very comfortable during cool weather. We were very pleasantly surprised that at the reception there is an English-speaking employee who showed a lot of care to us. Also, in the restaurant there was an employee who speaks very good English, who also explained how to go to the orange farm, where we had a great time, collecting delicious oranges on our own. We were very pleased with the hotel, especially the kindness of the staff. Definitely, we'll be back here on our next trip. Мы с семьей отдыхали здесь одну ночь, путешествуя на машине по острову. Отель расположен в живописном месте и сделан в виде небольшого поселка, поэтому на собственном автомобиле можно подъехать прямо к своим апартаментам, это очень удобно. Для электромобилей есть зарядные станции, включая две быстрые. Апартаменты имеют большую площадь и очень уютны, в туалетной комнате работает подогрев пола, что очень комфортно во время прохладной погоды. Мы были очень приятно удивлены, что на ресепшен есть англоговорящая сотрудница, которая проявила очень много заботы в наш адрес. Также, и в ресторане была сотрудница, очень хорошо говорящая по английски, которая в том числе объяснила как проехать на апельсиновую ферму, где мы прекрасно провели время, самостоятельно собирая вкуснейшие апельсины. Мы остались очень довольны отелем, особенно добротой персонала. Определенно, мы еще вернемся сюда во время наших следующий путешествий.
