Excellent stay for two nights as a solo traveler. The hotel is clean, quiet and clearly a higher standard than most places I used on this trip. Garden/pool area is beautiful. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time. Special thanks to the woman at reception — I don’t have her name, but she made check-in and the stay easy. All the team on site were kind.

Very good at decent price. I highly recommend it. It also has parking space. The hotel also has interesting design.

Facilities: Very good Cleanliness: Very clean Ambiance: Very good Service: Very poor. My friend handled the check-in, so I'm not entirely sure about the front desk service, but it was probably decent, though nothing particularly outstanding. What really upset me wasn't the front desk, but the bellhop!!! The bellhop's attitude was ridiculously bad. I drove my car to the entrance to drop off luggage and asked the bellhop where the parking lot was. He reluctantly told me he didn't know, then took me on his electric cart and led me to a parking spot under a tree (even though there were plenty of empty ones available). As a result, my car got scratched by a tree branch. The problem is, he was directing me while I was backing up, and this still happened—it's incomprehensible. I said I wanted to move to a nearby spot, and he immediately made a face, saying he was about to leave and I should hurry. The whole process didn't even take 3 minutes, so I don't know why he was in such a rush. I suggest your hotel properly train its bellhops; this was simply unreasonable.

I recommend to put the request to get a new renovation room, it’s will perfectly like the photo. The hotel located in the city center and right next to the Nile, there are KFC close by. I don’t recommend to try the Chinese restaurant in the hotel There actin chinese they don’t know how to do fried rice I guess turn out very bad. But the Italian was so good in my option. Trust me I am the Asian!

I must say that the hotel is really clean and warm, and you can sit down and make breakfast for us even if you haven't had breakfast yet. Although the location is a bit remote, the whole courtyard is really warm and clean, and the staff are very polite and professional. There are boys sweeping the floor every day, and they will stop when they see guests passing by, and continue after they pass by. It is really a thoughtful hotel.

The location is fantastic, directly facing the Nile. You get a direct view of the feluccas on the river and the hot air balloons on the opposite bank. Local drivers and carriage drivers all know this spot, and it's not far from the pier or Luxor Temple. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities are also dated, but everything is functional and doesn't detract from the experience – it actually suits the ancient charm of the area. The hotel service is decent, though check-in can be slow, often taking over half an hour. The room size is comparable to a budget hotel in China, not a high-end hotel, which might impact your experience. However, the balcony is beautiful. It's lovely to sit there, enjoy the stunning view opposite, and have a drink. Breakfast is just average, nothing special.

There was no hot water available even though we reported 3 times, but nothing got done. I had to shower in cold water the first day. The second day I couldn't take it because it's cold to shower in the morning, I had to boil water with the kettle. The AC was not cooling due to dirty filter, my husband had to clean the filter to make the AC working properly. The fridge was not working even though we reported 3 times the same with the water.

Steigenberger Resort Luxor | My Honest Review 🌴 My stay at the Steigenberger Resort Luxor was, overall, very pleasant and offered great value for money. The hotel's general ambiance is excellent; the public areas are well-maintained, and the garden, pool, and the atmosphere by the Nile are all very comfortable. For a five-star hotel in Luxor, I believe its overall facilities and environment are quite competitive. The room was comfortable and clean. Although some of the facilities show their age, they are still well-maintained. The hotel's location is also quite convenient, saving time when visiting attractions like Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. I also tried the hotel's Lebanese restaurant. The dishes were generally good, but one shrimp dish was quite disappointing. The texture of the shrimp was noticeably tough and dry after grilling, with almost no juice. It didn't live up to the standard I'd expect from a five-star hotel restaurant at that price point. I don't have an issue with using frozen shrimp per se, but the key is that the final quality didn't match the price. I reported this issue to the restaurant manager at the time, but the subsequent resolution wasn't entirely satisfactory. Given that the restaurant is not cheap and positions itself as a five-star hotel restaurant, I believe guests are willing to pay more for the ambiance and service, but they should also receive ingredient quality and culinary expertise that match the price. However, I must give special praise to the waiter, Abdallah. His service attitude throughout the meal was excellent – enthusiastic, polite, and very patient. Even after we reported the issue with the dish, he maintained his excellent service, which prevented the overall dining experience from becoming terrible because of that one dish. His service truly deserves commendation. 👏 Putting aside the minor hiccup at the restaurant, the hotel's stay experience itself was very good. With its pleasant environment, comprehensive facilities, and great value for money, it remains a hotel I would highly recommend in Luxor. I hope the hotel will pay more attention to the quality of its dining and the details of customer complaint handling in the future, and also acknowledge employees like Abdallah who diligently serve guests. This would make the overall experience even more complete. 🌅

Overall, good value for money. I appreciated the 24/7 access to affordable drinks. First disappointment: the website mentions a restaurant that doesn't exist. You only discover it upon arrival, which is misleading and can impact the organization of your stay. The major drawback remains the taxi: we had booked one through the hotel for our late-night arrival. It never came. Finding yourself without transportation in an unfamiliar place in the middle of the night is a truly stressful situation. The taxi for the return trip, arranged to make up for it, went smoothly, but at a rather high price. Regarding the location: the hotel is located directly in the souk, which is an undeniable advantage for immersion. But as soon as you leave, be prepared for intense activity—taxis, horse-drawn carriages, vendors—which can quickly become exhausting, especially upon arrival. I recommend it for the price and location, but with these reservations: do not rely on the information on the site, arrange your own transfer if you arrive late, and mentally prepare yourself for the exit.

The location is great, and every time I took a taxi from the front of the hotel, the security staff would confirm my destination with the taxi driver, which made me feel that they were really looking out for my safety! All the staff were very friendly, and the restaurant and swimming pool facilities, along with the view, were excellent. The only downsides were that the room was a bit chilly even without the AC on (the heating function seemed not to be working), and although the staff were responsive, the key card frequently malfunctioned, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I was generally satisfied. Also, note that late check-out is available until 6 PM for an additional $30.
