Very special hotel, I have to say that its outdoor hot springs are really great! Because it is a special experience to see the mountain wall in snow, the interior space of the hotel is also beautiful, it should be an old hotel modification? The part of the room is relatively old-fashioned, the waiter is also XD This hotel is recommended for people who have not lived to experience the experience~ but personally will not run to Aizu XD for it.
Toyoko Inn Aizuwakamatsu Ekimae

We used it for one person per night in June 2020. Due to recent circumstances, breakfast was not a buffet style at the venue, but a form of taking rice balls, bowls, and packed side dishes to the room to eat. Although it is a pack format, I think the amount of breakfast was sufficient and the type of side dishes was good (^^) I thought it was easy to use even if I left early in the morning because I could eat it from 6:30 in the morning. Regarding the room, I heard the sound of the person in the next room biting his nose, but it seems that the walls are thin (-_-;) The cleanliness of the room is perfect, I was able to sleep well until morning in a comfortable space ☆ I could rent a blanket, so I didn't have any trouble with bedding. It was a room on the upper floors, so The view such as Aizuwakamatsu station was good.

A very convenient hotel near the Fukushima Station. We had a twin room at level 8. It was clean and good. The water pressure was excellent. Hotel also provides facial masks, sachet moisturizer and lotions. Hotel provided maps for tourist. There are restaurants, ***** store, daiso, family mart and supermarket in the vicinity. Excellent location! The Corasse Fukushima Center is just behind the hotel. It has a shopping area with local produce. There is also a sake tasting corner.

Shosuke no Yado is a beautiful onsen hotel, located a bit outside Aizuwakamatsu city. It's attached to a river and waterfall. Japanese room is quite large and next to the river. There is tea set and sweet provided in every room. There is public onsen on the first floor which can enjoy waterfall during onsen and also private onsen with charge on the first floor and rooftop. The hotel provide free rental colorful Yukata for all women guest. Dinner set is lovely. There are a lot of food, fresh and delicious. Breakfast is also great. A mochi is the best. Hotel staff are nice and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast. Booked and paid via hotels.com. The hotel is not new but clean and good to stay and it didn't cost much compared with other hotels in this area. The breakfast was a buffet and had many choices. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Sorry for my late review. They might renovate the restaurant so my photo might be outdated.

It is located along the main street and can be seen from afar, so you can see it immediately. It takes 15 ~ 20 minutes to walk from the station of Aizu Wakamatsu, so it is the best hotel for people who use cars more than trains. It is very convenient to go to Mt. iimori, kamagaga Jo castle and shichikamachi station street within 10 minutes by car. Parking at the cherry blossoms You can park about 90 cars for free, but the parking width is narrow, so it is less 々 tight for large cars (3 number cars). When large cars are next to each other, you need to be careful about the door at the time of boarding and boarding. The breakfast was relatively satisfactory (but orange juice was not 100% juice). It was a twin room, but it is spacious for a business hotel. There is an air cleaner. There is no USB and there are only two outlets attached to the desk (there is no outlet around the bed), so it is inconvenient to charge this or this. It is better to take a tap with multiple mouths. There is a large bath in the bath 1F. There were 6 washing places for men and 5 ~ 6 people in the bathtub. The large bath for women seems to be a washroom for 4 people. There were also 2 coin laundry in the dressing room. The front desk was very kind and polite. The beer of 350 ml of the vending machine (the most squeezed) is 250 yen and conscientious. Also, the exclusive coin received at the front desk at check-in can be used for a soft drink vending machine. I feel like I got something. A few minutes walk (along the main street) is the supermarket ”Lion Doll”.

It was a plan without dinner, but there is no restaurant around I added dinner buffet afterwards (booked at the hotel) 5000 yen / person It was good to have more local dishes than a buffet in a hotel in Tokyo with the same amount I like the taste, but I'm 8 points (10 full). Breakfast was also very satisfying. The bath was large, the sauna water bath, free drinks in the dressing room, very enjoyable. The customer service is about check-in, out and meals There was no particular discomfort and there was no problem. I was very satisfied because I stayed very cheap.

Living in Japan as a vegetarian for many years I am used to having to tough it out at hotels. Although there are exceptions, the majority of these facilities in Japan are still in the dark ages when it comes to vegetarian food options and unfortunately this hotel is no exception. This was our second time to stay here and we had hoped in vain that the food selection would be better. Shame on us, yes, but shame on the hotel even more, in my opinion. First, the positives. It is in a great location: you step out of the hotel and you are practically launched on the Goshiknuma trail. If you have a car it is easy to drive to nearby starting points for various excellent hiking options. If you don't have a car you are very limited in how many hiking spots you can access. The staff is friendly and helpful. The previous time we stayed, during the pandemic, there was a near-fluent in English tri-lingual front desk staff member who was great. We don't really need that, however, so I cannot say that this time we encountered any English speaking staff. The room was clean and comfortable. On our previous stay we had a gigantic room for less than what we paid this time but that was during the pandemic when hotels were practically begging for business and we were also able to avail ourselves of the government subsidy program for travel, which has long been discontinued. Anyway, we were happy enough with the room. The onsen is good: spacious and properly maintained. This facility is actually two joined hotels and if you stay on this side (pricier and with nicer rooms) the onsen is less crowded and nicer. The food was another story. Both the first time we stayed and this time, we opted for the buffet meal package: breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is passable if you are lacto-ovo as I am and not super strict, meaning you can drink miso soup that will doubtlessly have at least some fish stock as part of it. Dinner is, frankly, pathetic. There is nothing of substance for vegetarians unless you consider a salad, rice, pickles, and a couple of fried vegetables to be a meal. I do not. Virtually every dish had some meat or fish in it. Why does the pasta have to have bacon? Why does the stir fry vegetables have to have chicken? This hotel is far from the only one that does this, but in 2023 is it not possible to have one or two entree type offerings entirely meat or fish free? The buffet is gigantic and has huge variety but all of that variety is thoroughly saturated with meat and fish. Total fail. We will not stay here again, regretfully. Note: the buffet was equally poor during our first stay and it was entirely on us that we hoped there would be some improvement a few years later. Like I said, shame on us. That does not excuse the hotel from not providing better food options for vegetarians.

I returned to Japan and used it in the Bon. There were many people with my family because it was a summer vacation period. Especially at the breakfast venue, there was a day of food and tableware shortage, so please improve. I was very satisfied because I was able to soak in hot water slowly in the public bath and spend a leisurely time in the room. The front desk staff will be greeted with polite response and concern. There are many hotels around Iwaki, but if I stay, this hotel is the choice!

※ long I stayed in a pack of travel sites but it was the worst. I chose the building because it was still new, close to the station and has a large bath. The use of the public bath was limited to 12:00 at night, and it was disgusting to be crowded, so I went late and went out at 12:00 at the end time. Then, a couple stands in front of a female bath and tries to enter together, so if you say ”it is a female bath”, you say ”I am booking from 12:00”. When I asked the hotel staff, I said that there is a couple's rental plan until 5:00 in the morning after 12:00. I also looked at the hotel site, but there was almost no such description, and when I searched for color 々, there was certainly a plan like that in some plans. Although it was a business hotel, I felt like a love hotel and I was very disgusted. In addition, the wall was thin or the voice next door was round, and the voice of the big woman was heard and it was really uncomfortable. I was doing work, but I will never stay again.
