Let us start with the good. Front desk awesome service Anything you ask for is no problem and they make it happen quickly. Housekeeping was also very good as were the convention staff. Restaurant breakfast is also excellent.plenty of choices buffet style. The room was not great not bad. I gave it a 4 star review because of the room Missing shelf space in the bathroom .AC so so...where i was there was a lot of noise. And a few things did not work in the room. They fixed most but still annoying. You are supposed to be one of the best hotels in Lisbon. Too many broken windows (not literally of course)

Lisbon Old Town
Definitely worth the money! Although the studio is not located in the city center, you can easily reach most of the famous sightseeing either by foot or by public transport or Bolt/Uber/taxi. The service is great, and the facilities are amazing! There is a museum close by which is about puppets, and I enjoyed it a lot. There is also a small restaurant nearby called El rey d Carlos, if you stay here please do try the octopus rice (which is only €9) and the dessert there, you won't regret it!

As it is said in the other comments, the rooms are very badly soundproofed... We were given a room on the street side, with a window that did not close properly, and as a result we slept very badly! We decided to leave after the first night, as there was only one room left that we did not want. After having had the MANAGER on the phone, we were told that we would be reimbursed (over 200€). Strangely my card was not working for the refund, ok, and that it was not possible in cash. We were then told that we would receive a transfer within 1 to 2 weeks... I have been waiting for 2 MONTHS! I have had no answer to my emails and on the phone, I'm clearly being pushed around. It's unacceptable, I work at the reception of a hotel in France, we refund our customers! ESPECIALLY when they promise us!!!!!! It's not only unprofessional but also dishonest.

Oriente is this modern uber-cool area of Lisbon, and whilst it's a good journey to the centre of Lisbon, is a cool place to lay your head for the night. The breakfast offering was reasonable and nice, the staff were great, and the rooms (though small for someone who's lived in America for ten years) were pretty well--equipped with helpful things. Top tip: to get ice you need to use the ice/water machine on the ground floor by the drink dispensers. As there are no ice buckets, buy a small tub from somewhere like the Contiente in the big mall, and use that. We Europeans don't do ice much. Other than that, expect an exceptionally quirky hostel, with great staff, and you'll have a good time

An honest and straight up review by a solo traveller having stayed here for six days. If it’s good I’ll say so, if it’s bad I’ll say so. The room I had was small but it was clean except for the net curtains, they needed a wash. Everything said about the lift in previous reviews is true, it fits one person at a time, it is slow and it stops very briefly sometimes. A very small bathroom with a toilet that is impossible to sit straight on. That said the room was very clean and well kept. Double bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. If you’re travelling to take photos and have camera batteries, battery packs. iPhone, iPad etc then there is only one socket in the room so buy an extension plug that includes USB points before you go then you won’t have any problems. The shower is small and a bit of squeeze for the Dad Bod but water runs nice and hot with good water pressure. Shower gel dispenser in shower and over wash basin. TV had Portuguese speaking channels only. The air con I never quite worked out how to turn the temperature down to make it colder and turn the air flow up. It consumes electricity but other than that I couldn’t really see the point of it as it didn’t really cool the room that much. I didn’t take the breakfast option and from what I saw neither did the majority of the guests. There is a cafe next door which opens at 7am and has numerous breakfast options from fresh fruit to cooked breakfasts at a good price. There is a patisserie in the next street called Pau de Canela offering great coffee and pastries for a few euros. Quality and staff at the patisserie are top notch. From previous reviews of the hotel I confess I was worried but pleasantly surprised it was much better than I expected in terms of the standard of room. It is very noisy of a nighttime due to its location and I mean very noisy. You are going to need ear plugs for a decent nights sleep if you are a light sleeper. Hotel staff sadly is bit off a minus mark. Friendly enough but apart from one member of staff I’m convinced the rest are not native to Lisbon. Several times I asked about tram and bus stops as there was a huge amount of roadworks in Lisbon when i was there which has knocked out part of the tram and bus routes due to closed roads and diversions. Apart from telling me where the metro was (you could see this from the street outside) they were no help at all regards bus and trams to a specific location. At least twice I was told they didn’t know. I found that a disappointment to be honest. I later found out the diversions and road closures plan to be around for time due to flooding issues over the winter and the improvements they are now trying to make. It’s a lot like British roadworks lots of cones and chaos and no one actually working on the job at hand. So back to the hotel, would I stay here again? yes without a doubt, but I would make sure I packed ear plugs and I wouldn’t bother asking the staff anything as I got the feeling I was alw
VIP Executive Zurique Hotel

My recent stay at the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel was acceptable. This hotel has so much potential, and some more attention in a few areas would go a long way in transforming this property to one of a higher quality. The service was excellent. Employees were all compassionate and professional. In addition, the food offered in the hotel’s restaurant was of high quality. Prices at the property were fair. From a value point of view, I expected a bit more. I paid €439 for my eight-day stay. In addition, dinner was expensive and extremely limited. More specifically, in terms of amenities, the hotel boasts a beautiful outdoor pool area. Unfortunately, it was often overcrowded and littered with garbage. More attention to detail would remedy these issues. Wifi was available, but weak in certain parts of the hotel. A bar is located in the lobby, but opens late and closes early in the evening, making it inaccessible. The gym was closed during my time here. That was also unfortunate, as images and descriptions on websites were misleading. I stayed in an Executive Single Room during my week here. The room itself was contemporary and updated, however, housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days, my room was cleaned impeccably, others, housekeeping was abysmal or nonexistent. Towels oftentimes had rips or stains on them. The curtains had small rips and were stained. In addition, one of the blankets was stained. The provided toiletries were good. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were very poor quality. The hotel did not specially publicize a smoking policy. Oftentimes, the corridors reeked of smoke. Cigarettes littered the pool deck and common areas in the hotel. Staff worked hard to keep surfaces in the lobby disinfected, however, their efforts were undermined by thousands of guests utilizing these areas. I do believe the hotel is understaffed. The hotel would benefit from having maintenance and housekeeping readily available and on call for assistance. When I necessitated maintenance, I was told I would have to wait for the following morning when the technician would be available. While the rooms were updated and contemporary, the bathrooms were rundown. The hotel shows it’s apparent age on the exterior, and in the elevators. Some surfaces were cracked and not functional. I experienced difficulties in the elevators. They stopped working at times, leaving me stuck. Again, better maintenance would remedy these concerns. The location of the hotel is a positive. It is surrounded by transit options that provide direct links to cities all across the country. This is ideal for all visitors. Overall, the hotel served it’s purpose. I do believe the hotel is ill equipped to handle the high volume of guests that stay here. Housekeeping is marginal, and must be improved. Maintenance needs to pay closer attention to the aging property. Finally, security here is lacking. I have some concerns as it pertains to safety. Front desk staff has no control over people

After reading the negative reviews, I decided it was worth reporting on our stay here. We were attending Web Summit at the Altice Arena and chose the VIP Executive Art's (sic) because it was a short walk from one end of the venue. Our room faced the street and was pretty spacious and comfortable, with no noise issues whatsoever; our only complaint was that the mini-fridge didn't work. We enjoyed the breakfast included with our rate, which was quite tasty and offered dozens of items, including interesting ones such as coconut brioche. The staff and elevators were fine, and we ate at two restaurants in the next block and enjoyed them both. And getting back to the airport by walking to Oriente station was very easy. Side note: I'm a comics fan and was startled and pleased that our room had a view of the giant superhero mural outside the hotel. If you're visiting Lisbon as a tourist, you'd do better to stay in a quainter and more atmospheric part of town. But for our needs, we were pleased with the experience we got at this hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convenient in the tourist area. Although the room is relatively thin, the decoration is very new. The only drawback is that many amenities have to pay, and the waiter said that he has to go to the front desk to pick it up, and there is no service to send the room.
