Dusit Thani Sandalwoods Resort Shuangyue Bay Huizhou

Shuangyue Bay
We went on cold windy days but it was still very fun. We got to do kayaking, play with fireworks, and enjoy the beach. When it comes to cleanliness i would say it’s a little bit dirty, the counters are bleached with some sort of black spots, the beach is also filled with black sticky substance that constantly sticks to your feet and doesn’t come off (possibly boat oil) however the beds and towels and all the other items are clean. With breakfast comes Afternoon tea and we really enjoyed it! not a lot of options for vegetarians though. so i would suggest the hotel to add more vegetarian options.

Sheraton Huizhou Beach Resort

Xunliao Bay
(background: European but communicate fluently with staff in Chinese) The Sheraton welcomed us with a light-flooded lobby in traditional Asian architecture. A warm and relaxing impression. Location: The Sheraton is located between Xunliaowan (10min) and Shuangyuewan (30min), the two major tourist places on the peninsula. The hotel is located remotely, meaning no restaurants or supermarkets are close or outside the entrance. It shares the beach only with the Regal Resort, which is 1km down the beach. Therefore, its quiet and perfect for weekend-getaway from the busy city life. Facilities: The hotel offers 3-4 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool, some remain closed/not in-use (hard to tell). Food: The hotel has a lobby bar which offers drinks and small snacks. We ordered a coffee there to be served at the pool, which was challenging and took some effort, but finally possible. (Chinese speaker) The breakfast restaurant is located on groundfloor serving up to 10:30am. Apart from common Chinese dishes, I am interested in the continental food variety, here the hotel was offering very soft ”french style” baguette, 3 different types of cheese, and smoked duck breast as cold cut. Also, the hotel offered fresh salad buffet with a good variety including olives. For a 5 star hotel, I would expect fresh orange/fruit juice, which I could not find. The hotel offers a BBQ restaurant/bar at the waterfront, so we tried Shaokao around 7pm. we chose a 298Y package for 2ppl. The food quality was very poor and we had to return all sausages and ask 4 dishes to be put back on the BBQ. Any street BBQ tastes way better. First we were told all drinks are included, later a can of beer cost CNY40, So we had to pay additional CNY120. Disappointing experience for a 5 star hotel. Service: Concierge welcomed our taxi and opened the door, but did not offered any help for our luggage. Check-In took almost 20minutes (excluding waiting time) which is long for a 5 star hotel. We were told to go to the room, however, there wasn't clear signage where to find the right elevator to our room. Being at the pool, we tried to order drinks, as the hotel lobby is 10min away. It seems this customer wish is new to the hotel and we had to beg the hotel staff to find a solution for us. For a 5star hotel, I do expect being able to order/buy drinks/water at the pool area. The sunbeds at the pool needed cushions which are quite heavy and were located in a hidden area. (Hard to find for guests, so most guest just used their room towels on the hard benches). I would have wish that there is staff guiding/helping on that task. The F&B staff seems not well trained and supervised. Unfinished drinks have been thrown on the ground in the outdoor areas, food waste has been put in little plastic bags and clients tissues were used to clean tables and get them ready for next customers. We had to ask staff proactively to clean our table of used plates and bowls.
Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel (Changlong Flagship Store)

Changlong tourism and vacation
This hotel was available of the three or four within the park area. There is a shuttle bus which takes you to the Chimelong spaceship and the amusement park. I bought a ticket for the spaceship and thought it was also for the amusement park, so that might have been a translation confusion. I think the area in general is a bit overpriced, but I also think the value of the amenities at this hotel were better than the rest of the hotels. I still walked around the other hotels. It reminded me of back home and Vegas going to Circus Circus. There are really nice pathways to walk around as well as a boat ride. The views and nature spots are found everywhere. I only gave a four on the cleanliness because I feel that some of the furniture is older, and I don’t understand what’s going on with the empty parking lot space outside of the window. One thing I did notice was a water bottle which was not sealed. Easy to miss from housekeeping because the cap was on tight. Also, even though I got the twin room, I didn’t have any children with me. There should probably be some rooms that are geared towards adults only. I referred the hotel to some friends with children where I live, but I don’t think it was necessary to have children slippers and bath robes and bathroom supplies. The whole area is designed for families, but occasionally there will be a solo traveler. I chose this hotel because there was a full bar inside of it with entertainment, and that was great. The lounge staff were amazing and attentive, aling with the buffet staff. I am suggesting more Buffet items without pork/meat. I think all hotels in this area should go down in price by about 200 RMB. There are so many people working there that it’s surprising things like check-in lines, water facility, furniture wear and tear, or updated QR codes on room service cards can be updated. Adding some basic beverages in the refrigerator, or sugar sweetener with the kettle are things that a hotel room priced over 1000 should have. Aside, all staff were on alert, and so were the characters and toy sale people. The shops were good with neccessities/souviniers. Beautiful place, but i did not swim in the water world. I took the ferry into the port specifically to see the spaceship area, and that was a pretty neat place with the food street despite an over the top ICBC stage. The Chill House on the water is also 2.6km away, so i had three good meals and drink sessions in the area. Personally, I would do some special marketing advertisement towards school employees in neighboring cities so they can see the area for weekends and field trip purposes.

Hengqin Port/Exhibition Center
Love Sheraton's friendly who upgraded us to a room with balcony that has a great view of the sea fronting the hotel. The indoor pool was great for my kids and they enjoyed it to the fullest. A big surprise was that there is a seafood wet market that are lined with restaurants that you can pick and choose to cook your basket of seafood purchase. The bill cost a couple of hundreds of rmb that would have more than a thousand dollars. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to zhuhai.
South & North International Apartment (Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Kam Rueng Plaza)
4.5/51459 Reviews
Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Haizhu Square
Location of this place is perfect! It is right on Beijing Lu, so you are extremely close to food and shops. The room was clean and all of the workers we encountered were very nice. Only thing that was not great was that the elevators take a long time because it is used by everyone in the building. Although, that is not the hotel's fault, it is just something to remember when booking this location. Would definitely stay here again!
City Note Hotel (Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Subway Station)

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Haizhu Square
The hotel location is very strategic, opposite and across Beijing lu. Renovation is modern, just the toilet is quite open, which covered by curtain and you can see through the toilet bowl from the glass door, which is not convenient and no privacy . The basin is not inside toilet, so the toilet has limited space and no space to hang clothes. The outside hotel is a bit noisy due to there are dining restaurant downstairs. Other than that, the hotel is very good, staff service is good, breakfast is simple and nice.

Good 👍🏼 We rented a room-machine, but they are under repair. The hotel offered without additional payment to settle in a cabin for couples, the price of which is 3.5 times higher. Excellent service. We vacation in this hotel for a year! I recommend it to everyone!❤️

Thank you to the young man with glasses Mr. Lam for checking us in. He was helpful. They also have a WeChat account where you can make requests. Staff Luo on the WeChat provided timely answers Pros Lots of facilities for children compared to other resorts Indoor activities available during rainy day:ping pong, snooker, cinema, children’s play area Nice pool by the beach Fireworks area at the beach Many helpful lifeguards Check in and check out was smooth Proper greeting upon arrival and there was some help with luggage after asking and waiting. But help was slow. Even though there was a big rainstorm, there weren’t any big leaks or run down hotel rainstorm issues. Spa available on 31st floor (but only opens if you book them) Overall good facilities Cons Everything is A bit old and run down Lots of staff are new Buffet area needs to be MUCH MUCH CLEANER workers seems sloppy and uncaring There were no more grilled vegetables available at dinner and none available even when requested at around 8:15. I saw cockroach along counter Needs BETTER MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING Staff should be instructed to out away lounger mats when it rains and to let loungers dry without mats after the rain I told them we couldn’t sit on the wet mats, but we were told the wet mats must stay on the wooden loungers after the rain so it would look good.(what?) Remove the mats so they won’t get wet, if they’re wet move them so the loungers can dry. Lots of new staff who couldn’t answer any questions For example is the water slide open? (No it wasn’t) Is there music ( maybe ) The operator was always busy when I called but to their credit they did called back. A 4 star hotel, with 2 star management/trainers which makes this a 3 star hotel. I think staff did try their best to respond, but upper management needs to pay attention before this becomes a 2 star hotel.
