SSunny_zhouThe hotel lobby has a lovely Chinese-style decor. Check-in was smooth, and they even offered complimentary tea and fruit, which was a very thoughtful touch. The staff were super efficient and even helped us with our luggage to our room – those ladies are strong! They really made a great first impression. The hotel also features beautiful garden architecture in the back, and it's incredibly close to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, just a short walk away. No need for buses or the subway, which is so convenient. Honestly, there's nothing to fault. Plus, they have a laundry room, which was a huge relief for us. Really fantastic, I'm genuinely happy with our choice of hotel.

The bathroom was well-designed with a separate wet and dry area, and there was even a direct drinking water dispenser and a clothesline in the shower – talk about attention to detail! The decor was stylish and looked quite new. There was a desk and a small coffee table, which was super convenient for working or eating. It might be a bit tight for two people with luggage, but it was perfect for one. If you get a good room, you can see the Gulou (Drum Tower) across the street. The metro station is right outside, making it really easy to get around. Plus, someone even held the door for me when I entered and left the hotel, which is a rare sight these days outside of high-end hotels. If my itinerary wasn't already set, I would have loved to stay a few more days! 😂

ZZhaojiaOverall, it was very good, even though the hotel facilities are a bit old. Firstly, the hotel location is quite good, right outside the subway station, which is convenient. Secondly, the hotel's maintenance and aesthetic appeal are still impressive after more than a decade; the floor tiles are waxed, the ornaments are exquisite, and the lobby is grand. Thirdly, the service is top-notch, from managing breakfast crowds to the staff's politeness, it's clear the hotel management is on point. In summary, it's great value for money and highly recommended.

AAz.IzWe chose to book this hotel due to the positive reviews. The free services (pick-up and drop-off) made everything seem sweeter. When we dropped off at Huashanbei Railway Station, the boss messaged me that the car was waiting for us. True enough, we spotted the car easily. The boss even helped to put our luggage in the car.
Throughout the short journey to the hotel, communication was hard because we do not speak Mandarin and he does not speak English. When we reached, we were brought to a front desk where we were charged for our next day trip to Mount Hua. The lady at the front desk quickly checked us in, gave us the room card & booked our tickets.
The boss then brought us to our room (about 50m walk from the front desk) and showed us the amenities. The hotel on the outside does not look too outstanding. But on the inside, EVERYTHING is wonderful. We got room 8201 with a huge window facing the small lane. No privacy is not a problem as we get to see locals doing their daily life.
As we are Muslims, the boss suggested a Muslim restaurant nearby. We did not go due to being too tired. The next day, our journey to Mount Hua was seamless. Everything was arranged, we were dropped off at the bus area and they explained to us clearly. They even waited for us to have our breakfast first before dropping us.
We are so happy with the service, watching the locals quietly go on with their lives, that we decided to extend one more night. Extending is easy because there is a vacancy for the room we are in. And changing our train tickets is easy too. We are now typing out this review in front of the big window, relaxing.
We love and enjoy everything about the hotel. The good & efficient service, the clean & warm room, the clean toilet with bidet, the clean bathroom with 24 hours hot water to shower, the wash basin with lighted mirror, the beautiful view we get for this room. So much love. Too much that we are sad we have to go back to Xi'an tomorrow.
Highly recommended. Will be booking this hotel when we decide to hike Mount Hua again. Thank you so much for everything you & your staff have done for us during our stay. We really appreciate it and will remember this sweet moment for the rest of our lives.

GGuest UserLocation: The hotel is located south of the city center. There's a bus stop right outside, making it quite convenient to get to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter.
Facilities: The lobby and reception area have an artistic vibe, showing a clear effort in creating a pleasant atmosphere. The mattress was great and comfortable, but the pillow was uncomfortable and gave me a stiff neck.
Cleanliness: It was alright. Everything being black made it hard to tell if it was dirty or clean.
Service: Make sure to use the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, otherwise, the staff will knock on your door early every morning, which is incredibly annoying. However, if you leave without pressing 'Make Up Room', it definitely won't get cleaned.
Also, the more expensive 'Superior King Room' is actually far less comfortable than the cheaper 'Comfort Deep Sleep Room'.
The last picture shows a rip-off tobacco shop in the Muslim Quarter. Avoid it at all costs! They charge double the price of outside shops, clearly targeting tourists!

You can find local delicacies in the nearby Zhonglou residential area, and it's within walking distance to the Bell and Drum Tower scenic area. It's also close to Zhonglou and Guangji Street subway stations, with plenty of dining and shopping options around, offering a rich local vibe. The guest rooms and bedding are changed for each new guest. The butler was friendly, and the follow-up after check-out was a nice touch. The room facilities are well-designed with a good wet/dry separation, and the 'birdcage sofa chair' is charming and compact! Overall, I had a very satisfying experience and would definitely come back if I have the chance.

The location is incredibly convenient; I could walk to all the niche attractions and photo spots, like Xiangzi Temple, Yongning Gate, and Defu Alley, without any trouble. The Star butler service was very thoughtful, providing all the hotel information I needed. They even offered free sweet soup and bottled water, which was a really nice touch and shows how much they care! The ambiance is also unique, with a dark, retro style. I was very happy with my room too!

GGuest UserStaying at Wyndham during the Chinese New Year, we were greeted by an uncle dressed in Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard) attire who enthusiastically opened the door for us. A kind lady in a black suit then proactively guided us to check in, and the front desk attendant even gave us some Guoba (crispy rice snack). Although there was a minor issue with the room initially, it was quickly resolved. In fact, there were many wonderful and enthusiastic hotel staff, like Kiko, Zhao Jiaxi, Liu Ye, housekeeping staff Wang Ni, and many other unnamed service personnel who were all excellent. Every staff member we encountered would proactively greet us and were always ready to answer any questions. The breakfast was also very generous with a wide variety of options, including many Xi'an specialties, and the restaurant service was excellent. Plus, the hotel is right next to the Grand Tang Everbright City, allowing us to get there before the crowds. However, there were some minor drawbacks, such as the mattress being too soft, which wasn't ideal for my back pain, and the pillows lacking resilience, causing neck discomfort after prolonged sleep. It would be perfect if they could upgrade the bedding.

It's super close to the Bell Tower subway station, making it a quick 20-minute ride to the Grand Tang Everbright City and Xi'an North High-Speed Rail Station. There's an underpass right at the street corner, and across the road is the Hukou Community snack street and the Xi'an Intangible Cultural Heritage Theatre, which is incredibly convenient for catching performances like fire-breathing, face-changing, Qinqiang opera, and Ansai waist drums. The hotel is also very close to the South Gate of the City Wall (Yongning Gate), within walking distance, and during Chinese New Year, you can enjoy the City Wall Lantern Festival. Below the hotel is the top-ranked Xi'an Ghost School Escape Room, perfect for those who enjoy that kind of fun.🌺 The service is excellent! I forgot my charger and umbrella, but the guy at the front desk was incredibly helpful. My boots gave me blisters, and the housekeeping auntie even helped me buy comfortable flat shoes. ❤️❤️❤️ The breakfast spread is very rich, with plenty of fruits, pastries, vegetables, desserts, and drinks. The dining area is spacious, and the music is lovely.
