The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly.
**Facilities**
We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish.
**Cleanliness**
It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed.
**Dining**
The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead.
**Surroundings**
It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation.
**Summary**
High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable.
The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special.
This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time.
I will definitely recommend this homestay to others and hope to visit again in the future.

The Grand Hyatt Jinmao Resort Lijiang is a truly secluded retreat, nestled amidst serene mountains and rivers, far from the madding crowd. The rooms feel much more substantial than those at some trendy influencer spots. They are spacious and bright, and despite being a bit older, they are well-maintained. The bedding is comfortable, and you can even enjoy mountain views while soaking in the tub. Bella provided warm and attentive service, making me feel right at home. The breakfast spread was extensive, with delicious made-to-order rice noodles and flower cakes. There are also a variety of free activities, making it a great choice if you're traveling with kids, and it's very picturesque for photos. I came alone for a retreat this time, and the Chinese restaurant was very accommodating, preparing half-portions so I could try more dishes. The location is convenient, and overall, it's a perfect experience. This established five-star hotel is a sure bet – you can't go wrong!

If Shangri-La is the closest place to heaven, then this is probably the fairy tale town right next door.
Clouds hang low on the eaves, and snow-capped mountains lie quietly outside the window. Sheep come running at dawn, looking for food – some sights truly can't be captured by a camera, only remembered in your heart.
🏔️ About the Hotel
The manor is right at the foot of Shika Snow Mountain, and you're greeted by snow-capped peaks and meadows the moment you open your window. The lawn is impeccably maintained, and even when Napa Lake water rises, it doesn't affect the view. You absolutely must stay in a standalone wooden cabin! Little lambs will poke their heads in, looking for food, making it feel like you've moved into a zoo 🦌.
🦙 Adorable Pet Crew
This place is a paradise for soft and cuddly animal lovers!
• Little lambs with tufts of hair begging for cuddles 🐑
• Short-legged ponies leading the patrol of the mountains
• Three Alaskan Malamutes named “Coffee,” “Xiao Qi,” and “Meiduo” accompanying you throughout your stay.
The hotel provides feeding supplies, and the lambs will chase after you, it’s just too cute! Next to it, the 'Wild Deer Coffee' shop also has fawns and donkeys. You can spend an entire day here with these adorable creatures; it's so therapeutic.
📸 Travel Photography Service
Upon check-in, you receive three professional travel photos, with ******* costumes available for selection. The photographer knows all the best spots for great shots: interacting with the sheep, under the big trees, in front of the wooden cabin – click, click, and you've got stunning photos!
🍽️ About the Food
Breakfast is a ******* + Chinese set meal, and the hot yak milk is a must-try! Enjoy afternoon tea while gazing at the snow-capped mountains, a truly healing experience. There are also welcome fruits and a warm soup before bed – thoughtful details that make all the difference 🥛.
A must-stay in this lifetime! You won't regret it!
This is a designer boutique hotel with only about 30 rooms. The moment the elevator doors opened, I was absolutely stunned by what I saw! Check-in was easy and straightforward, and the staff were gentle and patient.
The single room's design taste was impeccable, and checking in during sunset made it even more beautiful. The room details were excellent – mouthwash, laundry detergent, facial tissues, and face towels were all provided. They also offer breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks. I thought the late-night snack was just a gimmick, but when I tried it, I found out it's made to order and truly fantastic.
The absolute best part is the 11th-floor rooftop pool and the 'secret corner.' From there, you can overlook the entire city of Kunming. If the weather hadn't gotten colder, I would have loved to take a dip in the pool. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel that looks even better in real life than in its promotional photos!
I sincerely hope this hotel continues to thrive.
I'll definitely be back to stay again!

Jiangye Hotel was an amazing experience! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions. We were traveling with a child, and the front desk kindly arranged for a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the restaurant even has a large glass window overlooking the pool. The best part is that the pool uses hot spring water, so you can swim even in winter! Right across from the hotel is a park, which was very convenient for exploring. The room was clean and comfortable. We'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip.

First, let's talk about the sleep experience. The mattress and pillows are super comfortable, making you feel right at home. The king-size bed easily accommodates two adults and one child without feeling cramped. The room's amenities are thoughtfully designed – the sink height prevents splashing, and the bathtub is perfect for a relaxing soak, especially with the snow-capped mountains in the background. The water temperature was just right, and disposable toiletries were provided! The bathroom floor tiles were spotless! Barefoot is definitely a-okay!
Next, about the service after check-in. We had a dedicated butler who was truly on-call and responsive! They helped us with every single request. All drinks at the front desk are complimentary during your stay and are of excellent quality. The lattes were delicious, and the juices were freshly squeezed. I had breakfast past 10 AM, and our butler even arranged for a late breakfast service – so thoughtful! The breakfast was simple yet tasty. For dinner, we ordered three dishes, which were reasonably priced and very delicious, with flavors suitable for both the elderly and children.
Finally, the scenery – it's truly right at the foot of the mountains. Around 7:30 AM, you can witness the stunning 'Golden Mountain under the Rising Sun' right from the hotel! This is an excellent hotel with fantastic service; I'll definitely be back! It's a warm and inviting guesthouse amidst the cold, snowy mountains.

Reasons for recommendation:
Firstly, the boss is great. Despite his cool exterior, the young man has a warm heart. He offered a welcoming tea, actively helped with luggage, and saw guests off. He also proactively helped book various tickets at fair prices with guaranteed quality, and provided all sorts of assistance to meet guests' needs.
Secondly, the guesthouse location is excellent. Situated on Lion Hill, it offers a super wide view. The path from Sifang Street back to the guesthouse is my favorite in the entire ancient city. The winding uphill trail becomes less crowded the further you go, leading to a very tranquil part of the ancient city. There are no bars nearby, so you don't have to worry about noise. Plus, it's very convenient to get back to the guesthouse from outside the ancient city; cars can drive all the way up the hill, and it's just a few tens of meters walk to the guesthouse.
Thirdly, the guesthouse environment is lovely. The guesthouse's signage, much like the boss, is understated, so much so that you might often accidentally walk past it. Beyond the outer corridor, the small courtyard is a hidden gem with flowers, plants, fish, and even a white magnolia tree. On the first day, there was an available room, so the boss upgraded our room type for free. From the room, you can enjoy the ancient city's night view and watch the sunrise over the ancient city in the morning. However, most houses in the ancient city are wooden structures, so soundproofing is a bit lacking. Those sensitive to noise should consider this carefully. But everyone staying there was quite considerate, and I wasn't bothered by noise at all during my stay.
I'm writing these genuine stay experiences hoping they can help those of you on your phone screen who are still undecided. Finally, the key takeaway: the boss is handsome and kind-hearted. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will still choose Yueshang. I hope it stays around forever and its business thrives.

GGuest UserBanyan Tree Hotels consistently deliver on quality, and this is my second consecutive ***** New Year staying here. Both times, the hotel butler upgraded me to a villa with a massage pool, which was a delightful surprise, especially during such a busy period. The minibar drinks and fruits are all complimentary, which is fantastic for replenishing drinks and snacks after a day of exploring Lijiang. The hotel also provides a dedicated butler service. While many hotels offer this, Banyan Tree's butler service is exceptional. Our butler, Elin, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She proactively contacted us daily to arrange restaurant reservations and provide outing reminders. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved quickly, and she even responded to our messages late at night – truly a 24/7 service. A big thank you again to the wonderful and meticulous Butler Elin!
Bbellibellevery nice hotel with super duper friendly staff and fabulous service. they tried to accommodate to anything we need. views were suberb as well. cleanliness was tiptop, well stocked with amenities. definitely will stay again/ recommend to friends.
GGuest UserThis hotel in Lijiang completely exceeded my expectations! Located in the heart of Lijiang Old Town, it manages to be a tranquil haven amidst the hustle and bustle. The traditional Naxi courtyard, with its 'three rooms and one screen wall' layout, paired with blue-tiled wooden buildings, offers a beautiful scene at every turn. Every photo I took looked like a masterpiece, providing an immersive experience into the rich Naxi culture.
The location is absolutely fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk to Sifang Street, so you can easily pop back to the hotel to rest whenever you get tired of exploring, saving you from unnecessary detours. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The service was simply impeccable. From check-in to check-out, it was efficient and thoughtful throughout. The front desk staff proactively offered tips for exploring the Old Town, porters helped with luggage, and the room service was prompt and attentive, even providing local specialty teas and snacks. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, including freshly cooked small-pot rice noodles. The hotel also has a viewing terrace where you can overlook the entire Old Town and gaze at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance, truly setting the perfect mood.
It's perfectly suited for couples, families, or solo travelers. Staying at this hotel in Lijiang Old Town truly unlocks the slow-paced lifestyle. It was definitely the best decision of this trip – a guaranteed fantastic choice!
II’m going places**Excellent Stay with Outstanding Hospitality**
I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at Liqiang. From the moment I arrived, the level of service exceeded my expectations.
The highlight of my visit was the exceptional hospitality provided by our host, Mr. Sing, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He was incredibly caring and attentive throughout our stay, taking the time to help arrange our itinerary and providing valuable local insights.
Mr. Sing's assistance was invaluable - he personally helped us with our luggage from the main entrance all the way up to the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. His local knowledge really enhanced our trip, as he introduced us to excellent dining options and guided us to the best shopping areas in the vicinity.
The genuine care and attention to detail shown by our host Mr. Sing made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. I would highly recommend Liqiang to anyone looking for a place that combines good accommodations with outstanding personal service.
Thank you to Mr. Sing for making our visit so enjoyable!
GGuest UserEverything about this place, from location to hospitality, is amazing! The homestay arranged to pick us up at an intersection and carried our luggages all the way.
The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers.
During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊
On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us.
We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..
JJiangxinyuanThe guesthouse's location is absolutely superb, nestled right on Lion Mountain within the ancient city, yet it doesn't feel isolated at all. A short walk brings you to the bustling Sifang Street, or you can climb Wangu Tower for panoramic views of the old town. For families with children, this location is just right – it avoids the noise of the main bar street while still offering easy access to every corner of the ancient city. The guesthouse itself is built into the hillside, and the room we stayed in had a spacious viewing balcony. Each morning, drawing back the curtains revealed the majestic Yulong Snow Mountain, a truly breathtaking, ever-changing vista that instantly uplifted our spirits.
MM2be7dsk1****I've stayed in many guesthouses, and this time I chose Guanxin Guesthouse online. First and foremost, their service is excellent. Their housekeeper contacted us a day in advance to ask about our arrival time and came out to pick us up. They also offered afternoon tea, and what touched me most was their complimentary late-night sweet soup – so thoughtful! The room was very cozy, and the biggest surprise was the underfloor heating, which wasn't an extra charge. I feel really lucky to have found such a hidden gem this time.
__WeChat423078****The inn staff met us at the nearest drop-off point outside the old town to help with our luggage. The owner was super welcoming and recommended some amazing local eateries – every single one was delicious, no duds at all! The inn itself is filled with so many plants and flowers, it really feels like you're staying in a lush, green garden. The facilities and service are excellent too; the air conditioning in the room runs 24/7, so whether you're back from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain or a late-night stroll through the ancient town, you instantly feel warm and cozy. There's also a rooftop terrace with direct views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
MM509547****The guesthouse has a fantastic location, just a 5-minute walk to the center of the old town. The owner was incredibly welcoming, offering to help with luggage and providing travel tips. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. Although it's on the street, it was very quiet at night; the attention to detail was excellent. My stay was perfect for a few days, and the value for money was fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lijiang!
