Ssharleen5410The location is good, just outside the ancient town, but it's a very short walk. The hotel has parking, which is definitely better than staying inside the ancient town during peak season. There's a shuttle bus stop right next door, which would be more convenient for those traveling by high-speed rail without a car. The hotel's facilities are decent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but after trying a noodle shop by the road nearby, I realized that eating outside isn't necessarily better value or tastier. Maybe we just didn't find the right place, as the food quality was pretty much the same both inside and outside the hotel.

LLeonFishWe primarily want to express our gratitude to the administrator Cherry, who did everything necessary to make our stay at the hotel comfortable, and her efforts deserve the highest praise! She was in contact with us every day via WeChat and in person, and helped resolve various minor problems that arose. Cherry is the only person at the hotel who speaks English. The hotel staff does not speak English, but communication is possible through a translator.
Regarding the hotel, it's quite old, although everything looks very nice in the photos. In reality, the buildings are very old and worn down. Some of the equipment is outdated. The hotel grounds are kept clean, the cottages are surrounded by a beautiful park and forest, with clean air and birdsong. However, the hotel does not meet the level that is advertised.
The hotel was advertised as having five restaurants, but in reality only one, serving Chinese cuisine, was open; everything else was closed, possibly due to the low season. However, this was not mentioned on Trip.com.
The breakfast selection was very varied, but the food wasn't very tasty. We had a hard time choosing what to eat for breakfast.
This hotel is suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet. It's located a bit outside the city, about 10 km away, and you'll need to take a taxi every time you want to get to the city. But if you want tranquility, this is the place for you.

GGuest UserWow, this hotel truly exceeded all our expectations. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I can confidently say there was not a single fault.
From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcomed by the staff. We were greeted downstairs at the door, our luggage was taken care of, and we were even offered tea and a hot towel, which was such a nice gesture.
Before we were escorted to our room, the staff even helped us to change into slippers (outside shoes aren’t allowed past the lobby). One of the staff members then accompanied us to the room and explained every detail about it, something I’ve never experienced before. The room itself was also spotless and very comfortable. The shower was spacious, and the toiletries provided were of high quality.
I also wanted to mention a moment where I truly felt genuine care from the staff. On a day when the temperature suddenly dropped, they had advised us to dress warmly and even provided us a bag with rain jackets and water. Without this kind gesture, I genuinely feel like I would’ve gotten sick so I felt extremely thankful. Coming back to the hotel, they even welcomed us back with hot tea and dessert, which was such a comforting and thoughtful touch.
The hotel was also home to five adorable and friendly kitties. As a cat lover, this was such a delightful bonus and made the entire stay feel even more charming and homey.
Overall, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Although it is slightly pricier than the average of most hotels located in Zhangjiajie, the service and quality of the room definitely make up for it. There is no doubt that I’ll be staying here again when I come back to visit!

NNikita DobrachevThe hotel is located near the Zhangjiajie Old Railway Station, and near the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car Station (15 minutes by walking or less than 5 minutes by taxi). The reception staff was nice and kindly welcomed us on arrival. They also provided us their Wechat if we need any help during the stay. The room was very good equipped, had advanced light control, very clean, and good room service. The hotel also provided a free laundry and gym with some basic equipment. We like our stay very much and recomend this hotel:)

PPangxiaozhuyaojianfeiThe night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache.
First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient.
Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick.
Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance.
For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

GGuest UserThe hotel is really cool, and the elevator's decor is quite artistic. My only minor complaint is the unique smell on the first floor, which I wasn't too fond of.
The ground floor isn't the lobby; you need to go to the 6th floor to check in. There's a nice terrace garden up on the 6th floor.
The hotel staff are very friendly and always help with the elevator, and the cleaning staff always greet you warmly.
The day before check-in, they even called to ask if we had any special requests. The drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary on the first day, but we didn't end up drinking much of them.
Our room had a large sofa, big enough for an adult to sleep on comfortably, which was perfect for our family of three.
We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located right above a shopping mall with plenty of food options. We tried some rice noodles and wontons, both of which were delicious. It's also convenient for grabbing a late-night snack.
Nearby, there's Qu Ji and Ben Luobo, and a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea shop) right downstairs where there's usually no queue – we tried them all. In the evening, there's also a night market food street next door with what looked like a lot of tasty options.

GGuest UserThis hotel is right by the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and I have to start by commending it. First, the service attitude was excellent. Among all the hotels we stayed at during our five-day trip to Hunan, this one had the best service – the staff were so enthusiastic. Initially, the room we were in had a strong cooking smell from the restaurant downstairs. When we mentioned it to the staff, they promptly and proactively helped us switch rooms. They were incredibly responsive and resolved every issue we had. Secondly, the room's cleanliness and amenities were very professional, and they even had dedicated staff to help with laundry, including washing and drying. Lastly, its proximity to the East Gate scenic area is a huge plus. It's just a 5-minute walk from the hotel entrance. This also saved us the scenic area parking fee. After checking out, we were allowed to leave our car in their parking lot for over 24 hours.

AAva Lee28Stayed two nights at this newly opened hotel in Fenghuang Ancient Town, and the lovely front desk staff upgraded our room – so thoughtful! It's super family-friendly, with the front desk providing tons of free snacks for the kids, which they absolutely loved. After a long day of sightseeing, we could enjoy a free foot soak, which was so relaxing and refreshing. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The service was warm and attentive, with every detail considered. It offers excellent value for money. Staying here in Fenghuang is definitely worth it; I highly recommend it!

The hot water is fantastic – you wouldn't believe how refreshing a long, hot shower is after a tiring day! The rooms are spacious and incredibly quiet. GGuest UserThe rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. For Chinese New Year, they even prepared blessing stamps and a blessing wall, which created a wonderful atmosphere. In the courtyard, the fruit trees were laden with golden lemons (what the locals call kumquats), symbolizing good fortune for the new year. There's an outdoor pool and camping tents; it's quite pleasant for guests who return early from sightseeing to chat and play cards. There are also facilities for children, which is great for little ones. The hotel also has a laundry room, which is very convenient.
