Ssharleen5410The location is good, just outside the ancient town, but it's a very short walk. The hotel has parking, which is definitely better than staying inside the ancient town during peak season. There's a shuttle bus stop right next door, which would be more convenient for those traveling by high-speed rail without a car. The hotel's facilities are decent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but after trying a noodle shop by the road nearby, I realized that eating outside isn't necessarily better value or tastier. Maybe we just didn't find the right place, as the food quality was pretty much the same both inside and outside the hotel.

I had an excellent stay at this hot spring hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The entire property was very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more relaxing and comfortable. The hot springs were fantastic — peaceful, soothing, and perfect for unwinding after a long day.
What really made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, professional, and polite. I would especially like to thank Cherry, who stood out for her kindness, patience, and willingness to help with everything. She made us feel very welcome and taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing place with hot springs and truly excellent service. I would definitely love to come back again!

GGuest UserWow, this hotel truly exceeded all our expectations. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I can confidently say there was not a single fault.
From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcomed by the staff. We were greeted downstairs at the door, our luggage was taken care of, and we were even offered tea and a hot towel, which was such a nice gesture.
Before we were escorted to our room, the staff even helped us to change into slippers (outside shoes aren’t allowed past the lobby). One of the staff members then accompanied us to the room and explained every detail about it, something I’ve never experienced before. The room itself was also spotless and very comfortable. The shower was spacious, and the toiletries provided were of high quality.
I also wanted to mention a moment where I truly felt genuine care from the staff. On a day when the temperature suddenly dropped, they had advised us to dress warmly and even provided us a bag with rain jackets and water. Without this kind gesture, I genuinely feel like I would’ve gotten sick so I felt extremely thankful. Coming back to the hotel, they even welcomed us back with hot tea and dessert, which was such a comforting and thoughtful touch.
The hotel was also home to five adorable and friendly kitties. As a cat lover, this was such a delightful bonus and made the entire stay feel even more charming and homey.
Overall, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Although it is slightly pricier than the average of most hotels located in Zhangjiajie, the service and quality of the room definitely make up for it. There is no doubt that I’ll be staying here again when I come back to visit!

My stay at Thousand Hotel was truly exceptional—an easy 10 stars. From the moment I arrived, the service impressed me. I reached the hotel at 8:30am without notifying them in advance, expecting to wait until 12pm for check‑in. Instead, the staff were incredibly kind and immediately arranged a room for me (a big fat star from me straight away). Their understanding and efficiency set the tone for the entire stay. Every staff member I met was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made me feel genuinely cared for and completely at ease.
Highlights of my stay:
1. Personalized WeChat service – I absolutely loved this feature. It provided a direct line under my room number for any request, whether I was in the hotel or out exploring. With auto‑translation built into WeChat, communication was effortless even without knowing Chinese.
2. Sanitary film roll toilet seats – Omg, what a brilliant touch for hygiene and comfort. It’s rare to see such thoughtful details, and it added another big fat star in my book.
3. Disposable face wash and bath towels – Alongside the usual towels, these thoughtful extras made me feel cared for and comfortable, especially as someone who values high hygiene standards. Honestly, this surpassed even my experiences at international 5‑star hotels (they need to update and follow).
The facilities were modern, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed. Rooms were spacious, stylish, and extremely comfortable—I loved every detail. The location was convenient too: step outside and you’ll find rows of restaurants on both sides of the road, and just a 10‑minute taxi ride takes you to the central nightlife.
Another highlight came at check‑out. When staff asked where I was heading next, I mentioned transferring to a nearby hotel to meet friends. They went above and beyond by offering to take me there. That level of service and care is rare, unforgettable, and deeply appreciated.

PPangxiaozhuyaojianfeiThe night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache.
First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient.
Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick.
Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance.
For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

However, once I checked in, I found it very comfortable, and I slept really well. The gym was good too, and breakfast was decent. I actually think it's better than the InterContinental, haha! Maybe it's just my preference. The service was also excellent. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again next time.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the underground parking is super convenient with direct access to the hotel rooms. The staff offers great service, proactively and warmly engaging with guests. I particularly want to commend the breakfast manager for their enthusiastic and diligent service. They were constantly busy, either tidying up food displays or cleaning tables. The restaurant is on the top floor, but the temperature inside is very comfortable, keeping the food warm and guests dining in comfort, unlike some southern restaurants where you need to wear thick clothes to eat. If I visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park again, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Zzh2525The hotel's facilities are excellent. Our room was spacious and even had a small balcony. The location is convenient, only about a 15-minute walk from Fenghuang Ancient Town. The breakfast offered a great variety of choices and tasted delicious.
What truly stood out was the hotel's service attitude and quality. My elderly parents had difficulty walking, and the staff provided incredibly enthusiastic assistance and attentive care. They truly deserve praise, thanks, and a high rating! If you're visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town, you can confidently choose to stay here!

The room was more spacious and brighter than I expected, with a sensible layout and complete, clean facilities. The view from the window was also excellent, making for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
Breakfast deserves a special mention! The variety exceeded my expectations, with both Western and Chinese options thoughtfully prepared. The taste was authentic, and the ingredients were fresh. I was so satisfied that I was even willing to wake up early for it.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with every aspect of this stay. It offers great value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area and will recommend it to my friends!

GGuest UserThe rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. For Chinese New Year, they even prepared blessing stamps and a blessing wall, which created a wonderful atmosphere. In the courtyard, the fruit trees were laden with golden lemons (what the locals call kumquats), symbolizing good fortune for the new year. There's an outdoor pool and camping tents; it's quite pleasant for guests who return early from sightseeing to chat and play cards. There are also facilities for children, which is great for little ones. The hotel also has a laundry room, which is very convenient.
