Check in experience is very chaotic. Full booking details were missing in hotel system. I.e. number of child or adult guests, number of breakfasts paid for, etc. Prepare for gbp50 deposit per room.
Room was nice with two double beds and pretty view of IFS Cloud cable cars. Location is beautiful. Local trains and buses provide easy access to all of east London. Complicated parking. Driving here is not recommended, like most of London, unfortunately.
Local dining options are expensive. Breakfast is beans on toast and repetitive every single morning. No salads prepared. Busy and chaotic dining room almost every morning. Recommend poached eggs.
Service is an area this hotel really needs to improve. Especially concierge. No help with suitcases and bags. Staff won't even bring a bucket of nice to the rooms. Guests must bring buckets from the room to the bar to collect ice cubes. Not well suited for Muslim guests. No ladies only timings in the Spa facilities. Also overpriced. Local beauty salons in Upton Park are much more affordable and comprehensive.
Overall, an nice, clean, safe hotel, but not good value for money.

Overall experience was very good.On the first day of my stay, the staff member Hiten showed a very friendly attitude and was extremely helpful.
However, the only downside was that when I returned to the hotel at night, I was treated rudely by the security guard. Even though it was already past 11 PM, when she wasn’t sure whether the person entering was a guest, she should have asked politely instead of directly questioning me with “Where are you going?” in a very rude tone. It seems the hotel needs to provide more training in this area.
The room was everything you would need. Comfortable and absolute control over the temperature. The bathroom was a bit small compared to other places that I have stayed in. Service on the first night was exceptional. Very thoughtful.
I really enjoyed my stay—everything was excellent. The room was comfortable, especially the bed, and the spa was a highlight (definitely book treatments in advance).
A big thank you to the reception team for the upgrade and the lovely birthday card and cake—it was a wonderful surprise!
Overall verdict: We didn’t have any housekeeping until morning we were due to checkout even though we had our cleaning light on for 24hrs. Seemed to be limited in staff other than down at reception. Gin and lemonade with a wine £37 in restaurant (pretty pricey) One of our bedside tables had a crack in probably 12inches long. Dirty piles of towels alongside plates that was left in corridors for over 8hrs. Our fridge had a massive spill of some sort of liquid that had been there for a while. There’s a before and after picture of dust in cupboard above our fridge 😷 The coffee machine had water left in from where if had been washed out or not cleaned from previous use made it smell of moody stagnant water. Otherwise the stay was quiet, the beds were nice big and very comfortable. Hand wash etc smelt amazing plenty provided. Quick response when we phoned reception for more tea and coffee. Overall the stay was ok, we both thought it had gone downhill since we last stayed and probably take our custom elsewhere. Not all bad but can get better for similar value
Very good location. The hotel is good but my room was facing to the railway tracks so i could hear the sound of the train.
Their weakness point is their staff. I work in hospitality and there are certain standards that you have to follow to provide quality service.
Reception is available 24h but i called twice from my room (at midnight) and nobody picked up the phone. Finally, i had to come to the reception to inform them something was going on with my phone. That two night receptionist looked at me like if i was crazy and told me my phone was working because there was signal (Of course it was working, they just weren't answering my calls and were sitting around doing nothing).
I asked them for a bottle opener and their answer was ” we do not have”. That's imposible in a 4 stars hotel so what i take away from this hotel is that they simply didn't want to help me.
Also they weren't able to help me connect my device to the TV.
The only staff good point was they gave me late check out until 12:30 for free. That's why i give you 2/5.
Great over night stay before an early flight. You can’t beat the Sofitel for convenience for Terminal 5. Room was clean and check in super fast. Good stay again.

The front desk staff were really enthusiastic, and there was even a handsome guy! The room was also great, with excellent facilities, and the brand of cutlery used was very good. The only issue is that it's too new, so the area by the elevators near the stairwell has no ventilation at all, which makes the smell very strong. Inside the room, you could also subtly smell some renovation odors... and the window could only open a tiny crack, so the ventilation wasn't very good. I feel like it might be better to wait a year before staying at this hotel; it still has a bit of an odor now. We kept the room window open throughout the Chinese New Year, and only then did the smell seem to dissipate.
I've booked this hotel multiple times for various reasons. Initially, it was quite appealing, and I was drawn to its unique cultural vibe. However, after several stays, the experience has been less than comfortable, with a roughly equal number of pros and cons.
On the positive side:
1. The hotel room windows can be opened. While they don't allow for a cross breeze, they do help improve indoor air quality, which is a feature not typically found in most 4-5 star hotels that rely solely on sealed windows and air conditioning for ventilation.
2. The bathroom radiator's temperature is adjustable and controllable, another feature not available in most 4-5 star hotels with central heating.
3. The hotel rooms feature synthetic flooring instead of carpet.
4. The staff service is generally good, and they are responsive to issues.
On the negative side:
1. The floor insulation is poor. Unless you're on the top floor, you'll hear footsteps from the room above.
2. The rug in front of the bed is attached with prickly strips, which can become ineffective over time and pose a tripping hazard, or make the floor feel uneven when walking on it with slippers.
3. In some rooms, the sink drains slowly. While it improves after being unblocked, I discovered a pipe leak that causes water to seep through the tile cracks.
4. The 'deluxe double bed' rooms seem like temporarily converted suites, offering no sound insulation. Conversations and laughter from outside are clearly audible.
Upon arrival we had a free upgrade to our suite! Spacious room with a small kitchen with a kettle, coffee machine, fridge and microwave and the bathroom was great too. Appreciate that there was a built in vanity space. The service was lovely and we made use of the spa and got well needed massages. If we were staying for longer I would definitely have made more use of the other treatments and amenities available. Staff were very friendly and helpful at both the hotel and spa.
Being in East London there was plenty of food places nearby and access to public transport. Makes it pretty Muslim friendly considering the location. Best hotel experience I've had so far and well worth the price.
Got the £100 insurance deposit back the same day as well which was lovely.

GGuest UserGreat service and nice staff. Currently under construction, this wasn’t apparent when I booked but made the stay a bit less luxurious, and construction noise started early some mornings. My room was also next to a back alley where glass was dropped and shattered the entire night through, making quite a lot of noise. Indicated times on the information sheet of services was often incorrect: bar closed earlier, room service stopped earlier, can’t get extra shampoo etc after 23.00

KKimI do like the location although I did need my car or a taxi to go out. I really like being able to wander outside in the lovely grounds from ground floor room.
The lovely wild flower borders to entry's is very inspiring.
Even with a large wedding party it was very quiet at night. That was impressive as there were cars everywhere and still room for my little car.
I could have done with a shower cap as I was soaked in rain shower and normal shower combination. I can't quite see the point of that but if you have the knack of switching them both off I guess it's a thing nowaday.
GGuest UserAMAZING STAY! WOULD BOOK AGAIN AND RECOMMEND.
Came with family for a birthday weekend trip. We were all very impressed. Location is excellent- basically in the heart of London with breathtaking views of St Paul’s Cathedral. The hotel itself was outstanding - scaly considering its 4 stars. It’s more like 5 to be honest. Free water on site and in rooms, which is extremely helpful. The hotel is very spacious, modern and beautifully designed. The rooms were very spacious with the BEST shower! There is even a hair dryer and iron provided in the rooms. Spa facilities was amazing- lovely sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The breakfast had a variety - very accommodating to those who have dietary requirements/ need veggie options. Staff were so kind, helpful and accommodating. Service was outstanding overall and I would most definitely return. Thank you for allowing us to have such an enjoyable experience.

RRichardDThe Ned is an excellent hotel in central London. A big eating area in the same building as the hotel. Very nice spa and gym. Rooms a bit small but nice and quiet.
AAlberto919The location is phenomenal. Right across from the street you can find the Bakerloo Line. Room was big, clean, tidy and modern, same for the bathroom. Staff very kind and happy to help.
Swimming pool facility was very hot and sadly full of screaming children. But sauna and Turkish bath also well maintained. I would suggest to check the mold in the bathroom shower, also no soap refilled.
GGuest UserGreat stay at Park Hyatt London River Thames. The location is excellent, right by the River Thames with beautiful surroundings and easy access to the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and professional. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
