Reviews: Beijing | Yuxiandou·huangjiacai Museum - immersive noble court dining show - Hanfu performance

An incredibly cool place! Everything was top-notch. I went with a friend. We arrived, were greeted with a special welcome, and given tickets. It turned out we were seated in different seats. We asked to be seated next to each other—they initially refused, but then changed their mind and resolved the issue. Afterward, they dressed us and did our makeup in about 20 minutes. The girl did everything quickly and efficiently, taking into account our makeup preferences. Anything we didn't like was corrected. Before dinner, there was a performance in the foyer: theater and dancing. In the restaurant itself, they seated us, explained the menu, and asked if we had any allergies or anything like that. Overall, the service was good. We were seated in the fourth row and had a good view, although the presentation of the food was different from that of the guests in the front row, which is why we paid less. I don't like the taste of Chinese food, but surprisingly, I ate everything except two dishes. The food was delicious. Professional performance: dancing, singing, storytelling, opera, circus.

This is probably the most magical part of my whole entire trip something about it was just so surreal watching the performances eating. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I would definitely go again. This was probably my favorite tour that I did in Beijing China. It was so good. I almost cried.

The show was fantastic. The performers delivered an impressive performance. The only criticism: the seating was far too narrow and unsuitable for tall people with long legs.

It was a magical experience with a nice live performance and very delicious food. It might be one of the best food we ate in our life. The live performance was pretty and even though we didn't understand chinese, it was really nice to watch and enjoy the food at the same time.

Reviews: Beijing | Yanwaiyan - Dream of the red chamber themed immersive dining show
Guest User2026-10-26
Probably the best Hanfu dress up and Chinese gastronomy my family has ever been too. Not only was I impressed with the Immersive Cultural Feast but the highlight for me was the theatrical dining experience as the stage play from the actors/actresses was brilliant. The setting itself needs a mention too as the circular dining hall takes you back into the Qing Dynasty era with full size dragon and phoenix propped in the aristocratic mansion. Plus, unlike other venues we've been too, Yanwaiyan has a lovely oriental garden for you to attend too before your dinner experience, this garden is a lovely place to take pictures and especially if you are dressed in Hanfu, which takes you back to ancient times of China. We highly recommend anyone to select this place if it's your very first time doing something like this!!!
