Berkeley Castle

It's definitely worth a visit. There weren't many tourists that day, and only a portion of the castle was open to the public; the rest was used by the owners. The castle is famous for its connection to the regicide; Edward II is said to have been imprisoned and brutally murdered here. The castle also displays some paintings and artifacts, and a ballroom was quite impressive.

The Roman Baths

Originally built in the 1st century AD (during the Roman occupation of Britain), it was constructed around natural geothermal springs and dedicated to Sulis Minerva, the goddess of Celtic and Roman fusion. It served as a religious sanctuary, a spa resort, and a public bath for all. After the Roman withdrawal in the 4th century, it was gradually buried and excavated in the 18th century. Today, it is a World Heritage Site and a landmark of Bath.

Cotswold Way

It is a long and winding path. It is very poetic to walk on it at sunset.

Bath

A very historical town. The car shuttled through the streets and alleys of Bath, and it turned out that this is the hometown of "Jane Austen", the female writer who wrote "Pride and Prejudice". Simple, beautiful, leisurely, peaceful, elegant and quiet. It can only be said that it is difficult to describe its beauty. very nice. There are many tourists, but it is very orderly. The air is also very good. It felt nice to take a quiet walk.

National Trust - Newark Park

The park is absolutely beautiful at this time of year because it is cherry blossom season. There aren't many people here on weekdays, although the area is quite large, but it's not a very safe place, especially after dark. I only go during the day or during the cherry blossom season.

The British Museum

My visit to the British Museum was completely transformed by Diana's guide. She didn't just introduce the exhibits; she connected the scattered artifacts into a coherent narrative of world history. From the Rosetta Stone's code and the controversy surrounding the Parthenon reliefs, to the Mesopotamian cuneiform and the historical context behind Oriental porcelain, her explanations were engaging, logically sound, vivid, and insightful. Dry history was no longer just cold text; each artifact came alive with a vibrant background. Her pace was comfortable, and she patiently answered our diverse questions. Three hours was incredibly enriching. Highly recommended! If you want to truly understand the artifacts at the British Museum, you absolutely must see her!
