It boasts South Bank, museums, art galleries, restaurants, and city viewpoints – ideal for starting your trip. 🌊 Gold Coast Sea lovers will adore this area with its long beaches, tourist attractions, and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for both relaxation and outdoor activities. 🐠 Cairns & Great Barrier Reef A must-see highlight in this zone! Take a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling or diving and experience the diverse underwater world. The Cairns area is also connected to the Wet Tropics Rainforest, another UNESCO World Heritage Site in the region. 🌿 🏝️ Whitsundays These islands are famous for their clear waters and beautiful beaches, especially Whitehaven Beach, perfect for those who want a full tropical island experience. 🌳 Daintree & Cape Tribulation Nature lovers should allocate time in northern Cairns, as it offers ancient rainforests, coastlines, and First Nations cultural experiences. 💰 Costs The cost of visiting each attraction varies, but travel on the Translink system in South East Queensland currently costs 50 cents per trip for services within the designated network.
