My room is really comfortable and the deluxe king room can enjoy two TVs which we can enjoy separately from watching drama. This hotel has a splash swimming pool and kids pool. Those who like to relax can enjoy their sauna room and steaming room too, The toilet has a locker so you can put your personal belongings inside. Other than that, the gym room needs to pass by the swimming pool and walk down only to reach the gym room. The location is super convenient it's just beside the hatten square, dataran Pahlawan mall, red house walkable and night market. You may also walk to the ship museum . Overall good and definitely will stay again if the price is still affordable.

A 99 mart just behind the hotel and a short walk down you will find 2 local coffee shops:). Hotel also along the malacca river, can morning walk around the hotel. Breakfast was basic but they make it an effort to change the menu we had different protein for nasi lemak. The beef rendang was soooooo good! The basics one are the eggs station, noodles station.

Anyway, we booked 2 rooms a week ago and we were told that the rooms are not ready, yet. The check-in time for this hotel is 3pm, but we have waited 30 minutes only to get our first room and another 30 minutes to get second room. The first room was super dark as there were only 1 light working, so we ended up calling the maintenance to fix all other lights in the room. The second room was not clean, hair were everywhere and there's even a pair of leggings hanging in the wardrobe. Both rooms showers were not properly clean, hence the water is not able to run, as it's clogged due to massive hair balls stucked in the hole. That's not all. As our rooms doesn't comes with breakfast, we bought 2 breakfast for the first room for next day. There was no meal vouchers given to us except the receipt as the receptionist told us to show just the room key to the cafe staff. But, the cafe staff refused to let us in even after we showed the room key to him. He told us that we need to present meal voucher to him, which was not told to us by the receptionist. We told him to checked in the system as we have paid for it and he refused to do so. He shoved us away immediately without checking further. After all the hassle, we went to the receptionist at lobby and seek for refund. And we were told that it takes 15 working days for the refund (which is MYR30 only). We paid by cash for the breakfast when we check in, but we cannot get our cash back instantly for refusing us go enter the cafe. We don't think that we deserved such treatment by the hotel staff, just because the room rate are affordable, doesn't means the hospitality standards can be regards as third world class. What else can we ask for? If it's not due to TripAdvisor system, I don't even want to give even 1 rating.

This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

proses check in agak lambat and staff tak betul-betul focus on customer. lepas check in settlekan deposit pon tak dapat resit for depo. Masuk bilik tandas kotor especially area lubang air tu berkerak lantai.. belakang mangkuk tandas pon sama kotor berdaki.. lantai shower spot tu hilang je kalau di tenyeh guna kaki.. so nampak laa housekeeping memang tak bersihkan betul-betul lantainya. selimut lagilaaa bertompok-tompok kuningnya.. tuala berbulu mcm lap kaki dah pon masih diberikan kepada guest. kemudahan iron disediakan di luar bilik tapi tulaa iron dah nak terbahagi dua dengan hitam kerak. baju seluar putih memang bertompok kesan iron nanti adui

This is not my first time staying at Ames Hotel, it's my third time, and it will be the last!! I travel for business almost every week, both within Malaysia and abroad. I have stayed in dozens of hotels, as you can see from my record on the Agoda website, but this has been the worst stay ever!!! I arrived at midnight, and no staff assisted with my luggage. There was a male staff in a black shirt who just walked past me at my car without offering any help, and there was also a pregnant woman (a customer) who just got out of her car to check in, and no one helped her either. The night manager, named FARED, assisted with my check-in. I requested a late check-out at 3 PM because I had an event under my company at the Ames Hotel as well, but the next morning, he informed me that I had to check out at 2 PM. I complied even though I had told Mr. FARED the night before about the late check-out at 3 PM. However, when I was having breakfast at the Merchant Lounge, a manager named JOSEPH told me that I had to check out by 1 PM, even though FARED had confirmed with me the night before that I could check out by 2 PM. I find this completely unacceptable. JOSEPH also mentioned that my room was upgraded for free, even though I paid extra for the suite—it was not free. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional because he did not check my room details before speaking with me. He made it seem like I received a complimentary upgrade and was not entitled to the service I deserved. This is extremely disrespectful, and this is my honest review of Ames Hotel Melaka. Thank you to the lounge staff named DILA for calming my wife and me and providing good hospitality service.

I ve cancelled my booking earlier but got rejected. There are no reason given for the rejection. Old hotel and poorly manage but match the price as it is cheap and breakfast provided is so-so.

From the sweltering heat of the lobby to sp**** staffing, everything says “we only wish we are a 5-star but...”. Mudzaffar looks like they are a hotel training academy specialising in aiming at generating as many as guest complaints as they can possibly get. What they actually do with the complaints is anyone’s guess: probably classify them under OSA. These are the training areas that we experienced: 1. Air-conditioning in lobby not functioning. Probably for vocational trainees under find the cause. Or for finance officers on how to brutally reduce cost. 2. Inadequate staff to handle concierge. Designed for managers who can see the effects 3. Shops not opened. For time management trainees to see relationship between opening hours and revenue 4. Toilet with no hand drying facilities. For maintenance staff is and why the floor and door knobs are wet 5. Late check in: Staff learning to admit guests strictly at 3pm check in time despite hotel near empty on Sunday at 2:00pm 6. Slip shod construction. Meant for building students to see how to frustrate a 5-star claim 7. Room: 2 pillows for a double bed. Not even one extra in the cupboard. TV no reception until a few hours passed by. Room painted, no wall paper. Shower water pressure low. They give only one key card. All for trainees to evaluate the savings made. 8. Upon reaching the room there were 4 plates left by previous guest by the door. When we came back from dinner at 9pm, they were still there. Called reception and they casually replied “we will send someone to clear them” unperturbed by what happened. That off the cuff reply proves training works at this Academy. In all the Mudzaffar Hotel Training Academy is highly recommended for those who are into the academics. Not for a real hotel guest with out of norm expectations of staying in a hotel for comfort and rest.

The rooms could have been better cleaned and aired to avoid mustiness and dead insects/ droppings. Towels were well worn and thin, shower did not drain well. Security/ access to guest room floors were not controlled by key cards in the lifts.
