Hotel near Perimeter of Haikou Airport/Mission Hill/East Coast,Haikou

This is my second stay at the Meilan Airport Hotel. I checked in a night early from Lingshui because I had an early morning flight from Haikou to Singapore. **Service:** The hotel's airport shuttle starts at 4:30 AM. I took the 5 AM shuttle to T2, which was very convenient. My 7:30 AM flight meant I didn't have to rush to the airport too early. **Environment:** The hotel has many rooms and a 'U' shaped corridor. The room I got was a good distance from the elevator. It's also not far to walk to the high-speed train station, about a 10-minute walk. If you arrive late at night, some guests can be quite loud and inconsiderate, making it a bit noisy. **Cleanliness:** It was quite clean, with disposable slippers and separate slippers for the shower. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and bottled toiletries are provided, so you don't need to bring your own. **Facilities:** Bottled water is provided, and you can choose your pillow. The bed's firmness was just right. For an overnight stay near the airport, this is my top choice. In the morning, I checked out early and, in my haste, left my phone charger in the room. I only realized I'd forgotten it at airport security. I called the hotel front desk, and they kindly held onto it for me. I picked it up when I returned from Singapore. Many thanks to them!

Excellent Stay | Haikou Hualuxe Intercontinental: The Two-Bedroom Suite is a Must-Book! This time, I checked into the Haikou Hualuxe Intercontinental and stayed consecutively in a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom ocean-view suite. It truly deserves five stars! 🌊 The hotel is incredibly close to the sea with stunning views. You can walk to the mall in 5 minutes, where you can find all sorts of authentic Hainanese local specialties – so convenient. My favorite perk was the breakfast! You get access to both the executive lounge upstairs and the coffee shop downstairs, offering a wide variety of choices that don't repeat. No need to queue, and you can enjoy authentic Hainanese flavors, which instantly boosts your happiness. The service was top-notch throughout; the staff were enthusiastic and attentive, always ready to help, making for a very comfortable experience. The two-bedroom suite is perfect for families or friends traveling together; the space is ample and thoughtfully decorated. The one-bedroom suite offers privacy and comfort, with incredibly soft and comfortable bedding that guarantees a great night's sleep. The surrounding environment is quiet yet convenient. Overall, the experience was perfect, and the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Haikou!

Service: The front desk was excellent, even upgrading me directly to a duplex suite. There are a lot of Russians at this hotel, so I felt like the foreigner! It was like receiving VIP treatment. Plus, perhaps because of the Russian clientele, breakfast runs until noon, which is fantastic for late risers and vacationers – a proper brunch situation! Of course, with such late breakfast hours, the spread isn't overly extensive, more like a good 4-star plus standard. Cleanliness: The suite's cleanliness was decent. The hotel provided mosquito coils and repellent. I was confused about it during the day, but I understood why at night. Ambiance: It's an older hotel, hard to rate, but the value for money is very high. Facilities: Hard to evaluate. On one hand, it’s surprisingly well-equipped with a full-sized double bathtub, two bathrooms in the duplex suite, twin beds, and good soundproofing. On the other hand, it has that dated feel, and the projector screen for the attic projector was already worn out. But, credit where credit is due, the idea of a projector in the attic is quite clever. The gym was under maintenance. As for the pool, you need to be brave and unbothered by the Russians – if I'm not awkward, they are!

The night view was absolutely stunning! The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was so soft. There was plenty of space on the vanity, and the toiletries smelled lovely. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. I accidentally left something behind when checking out, and the front desk immediately called us to let us know – they were so efficient and on top of it. I'd definitely choose this hotel again!

The environment is clean and the location is easy to find, just a ten-minute drive from the airport. The decor is also new. It's my top choice for value for money, and perfect as a temporary stopover for a flight the next day. Students and those on a budget who still want quality accommodation can't go wrong with this place. It's also suitable for families with kids staying long-term, as there's a dedicated play area for children and a free laundry room. There are parking spaces right outside the entrance. Great experience, I'll definitely be back!

I travel for business a lot, and most of the time I choose Hilton. The Hilton Haikou has an excellent location and unbeatable views of the bay. You can see the entire Haikou Bay area, and even the long West Coast. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset from your room. Room service is prompt and thoughtful. There's a big exhibition these days, so it's very crowded, but the hotel's service and reception are well-organized, maintaining its consistently high quality!

After our trip to Shimei Bay, we arrived at the hotel with my entire family, including young children and elderly parents, along with several large suitcases. We were understandably quite tired from the journey. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel had a significant shortage of staff both inside and outside the lobby – a stark contrast to Shimei Bay, where service personnel were readily available everywhere. Although there weren't many guests checking in at the time, and the scene wasn't particularly busy, given our large group and numerous bags, I had to proactively request a luggage cart to make things easier. For a resort hotel that prides itself on the guest experience, the initial service response would be much better if it were more proactive and if staffing levels were more adequate. Regarding the room, the promotional pictures I saw when booking showed a sea-facing view with a visible beach. However, the actual view from our room was quite different from what we expected. While we could see the sea in the distance, our primary view was of the hotel's pool area, and the beach wasn't visible at all. The visual impression didn't match the promotional images. During the Chinese New Year period, the hotel organized various activities, some free and some with a charge, which is understandable. However, it was quite surprising to find that even digging for sand crabs on the public beach area required an additional fee. Compared to the hotel we stayed at previously in Shimei Bay, the activity planning here was indeed a bit lackluster. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent. There was a rich variety of options, especially the Pandan Tofu Pudding, Pandan Pancakes, and various Hainan noodles. These were not only distinctive but also delicious, adding a wonderful culinary delight to our mornings. What truly impressed us was the mature food scene around the hotel. From Coconut Chicken, Wenchang Chicken, Ding'an Jumping Beef (which can be hotpot or BBQ), Baoluo Noodles, Hainan Noodles, to all sorts of desserts and snacks – the choices were incredibly diverse. This added a lot of local flavor and memorable gastronomic experiences to our trip. The hotel's beach area itself was quite good. The sea breeze, sand quality, and the overall experience were very relaxing and comfortable.

Booked this hotel for my parents. The location is great, right in the heart of the old town. It's about a 20-25 minute leisurely walk to Wenchang Old Street. The hotel itself is very new, I heard it's part of the Jinjiang group, and the facilities are quite high-end. The rooms are also spacious and comfortable. My parents said the breakfast was pretty good too. Definitely recommend staying here when visiting Wenchang!

Our overall experience during this stay was fantastic, and I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk service! Check-in was very efficient, no long waits, and the process was super smooth. The staff were professional and reliable, answering all our questions clearly, whether about hotel facilities or local attractions. Their demeanor was excellent, making us feel completely at ease. Any small requests were handled promptly and efficiently, without any unnecessary hassle throughout our stay. The service was thoughtful yet down-to-earth, making us feel really comfortable and leaving us with a great impression. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we're back in the area; such attentive and efficient front desk service truly adds to the experience. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThis is a true resort hotel. While the decor isn't the most modern, those seeking privacy will absolutely love it. Each room is a standalone unit with its own yard, and you hardly see other guests except during meals. The beach sand is quite fine, and it's mostly deserted. There's also a very photogenic pier that looks just like something out of La La Land! Our butler, Henry, was very responsive, even checking if we'd received our dessert at 9 PM. The front desk answered the phone on the first ring, and the shuttle was almost always immediate. Everyone's service was exceptional, really showing the quality of a five-star hotel. It's also perfect for a run; a 5k at sunset is absolutely delightful!

LLost_in_the_JungleLet me first say, hotels are always looking for a good review, but I will only give a good review if I honestly feel they deserve it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Qixian~ the resort grounds are absolutely stunning. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised to discover that the resort has been thoughtfully designed to feel part of the rainforest. Everywhere you look there are giant boulders, gurgling clear streams, ancient trees and hidden trails that make you feel you are walking deep in a forest. All you hear are the birds and the water rushing in the streams! We have travelled all over China, and this is the quietest, most authentic feeling nature spot we have ever experienced. In addition, there are so many hot springs you can choose to relax in, or you can use the hot spring attached to your balcony! The restaurant has a good variety and we liked everything we ordered, it was fresh and flavorful, we tried the pork ribs and braised tofu, both delicious, but the green coconut filled buns were a perfect ending! The lobby staff was friendly and helpful, and gave us all kinds of upgrades! You can get pickup on the carts anytime, but we preferred to walk and enjoy the beauty, the resort grounds feel huge, but honestly its well designed so you can reach any spot in 5-10 minutes. Also, they have all kinds of activities you can join. We really enjoyed the rainforest walk, the lady from the Li family that conducted the walk was so lovely, we could tell she really had a connection to the forest and just radiated joy as she showed us all the plants, it was one of the highlights of our stay! Our room was clean, the sheets were soft and the bed was comfortable. The view onto the palm forest was so relaxing to look at as we soaked in the spring. The infinity pool was spectacular, the setting is gorgeous and peaceful. The coconuts and dessert we ordered were really good, however, the drinks we ordered were awful and maybe they can get some more outgoing staff to work at the pool bar, maybe because it was winter time and less people are at the pool? Breakfast is served in a building that overlooks the river, there is ALL kinds of food, if you are a Westerner you can find fried eggs, toast, and pastries. But I recommend going to the area where fresh rice noodle is made for you on the spot, add toppings and fried eggs, it was delicious! There are some rustic areas to the resort- it feels a bit abandoned in areas, like its just too big to keep up with ie. Giant empty pools, some of the buildings look in desperate need of refurbishing, but overall we felt like the resort was truly beautiful and amenities really made this a great value for the price we paid. We are already planning to come back when we need a break from the city!

JJingcaizaibeijingThe hotel is located within a resort, and the overall environment is quite good. However, the facilities are genuinely old and outdated. The toilet wasn't working properly, and it took them ages to fix it after we called for maintenance. The cabinet door wouldn't close completely, which meant the light inside stayed on all the time, even at night. I was too tired to bother calling them again to fix it. The service was generally acceptable; they were quite responsive when we called for repairs or deliveries. The dining was average. As for the kids' outdoor pool, there was too much debris in the water, and it wasn't cleaned frequently enough. There were also too few play facilities. Many areas of the hot springs weren't well-maintained, weren't open, and the hygiene was a bit subpar. We had to wait more than 24 hours to get our deposit back. Overall, this isn't the standard I'd expect from such a large hotel group. For the same price, there's a lot of room for improvement compared to other hotels.

GGuest UserThis trip back home, I brought my kids and stayed in the Family Water Fun Room. The room was very spacious, clean, and tidy, and there was even a small pool on the balcony. The hotel itself is quite large, and right across from the balcony is a huge public swimming area with a water park for children. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds and kept saying how much fun it was here. After a long, exhausting day out sightseeing, we returned to find the cleaning staff had folded towels into little elephants on our bed. It instantly wiped away our fatigue – a really pleasant and touching surprise! We booked a room with breakfast included, and the restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which tasted great. Overall, the hotel's services were excellent, and our stay was very enjoyable. Definitely a five-star recommendation!

GGuest UserThis is a glowing review I wrote for the Grand Hyatt. Honestly, I really wanted to go back to the St. Regis 😭. A friend recommended this hotel, and I booked it without doing any research. The hotel called three days in advance to ask about any requests and double-checked the notes I left online. A day before arrival, our butler, Seven, added me on WeChat. She clearly understood my needs without me having to repeat myself and even asked if I had any additional requests. Since this was my first trip with my one-year-and-seven-month-old baby, I was a bit nervous. But Seven was incredibly responsive and accommodating; she fulfilled every single request I made! I'm truly, truly grateful to her; she eased so much of my anxiety. As for the hotel environment, it's absolutely beautiful. It's not at all old or outdated as some online reviews claim. I don't care if the toilet is smart or not; the entire room's facilities are very well-maintained. It truly embodies that 'old money' aesthetic mentioned online. I stayed in a Manor Pool View room, which also offered a glimpse of the ocean – I absolutely loved it. This was my child's first trip, and I could feel that the hotel staff were very accommodating and fond of children. They let kids ride the mini train and use the rainbow slide freely. My child was too young for the slide, but we rode the mini train at least twice a day! The public areas had shared sand-digging tools and swim rings by the pool. We went to the bubble show every day, and my child was incredibly happy! The breakfast was very rich, and there were plenty of options for kids. We enjoyed our breakfast every day. Now I really want to go back to the St. Regis! I love the St. Regis, and I'll definitely go again next time! Thanks again, Seven, looking forward to meeting you again!!!

KKTyangHuge thanks to Helena, our butler, for helping us get an upgrade! The direct pool access was super convenient. You can tell the hotel is a bit older, but it's really clean and that didn't affect our stay at all. The bedding was very comfortable too. They even turned on the AC for us before we checked in, and the room fragrance was lovely! There's a shuttle bus to the duty-free shop, and they offered a complimentary travel photoshoot, though we had to cancel due to time constraints. The only downside was the attitude of a couple of the pool lifeguards (I think they were on duty on the morning of the 4th and 6th). They were incredibly rude and had zero service awareness, lecturing guests about using equipment in a really impatient tone. 🙄 Overall, though, it was a pretty good stay!

LLailaicaicaiTraveling from north to south, from Haikou to Sanya, I stayed in quite a few hotels. I chose the private standalone pool villa at the Rosewood Sanya because it offered an amazing experience and a true vacation vibe. The entire hotel and the rooms exude a luxurious atmosphere. The common areas are filled with coconut trees, creating beautiful shadows, and there's a large pool that's perfect for photos. Breakfast is served until noon, which was great because I haven't had much of an appetite lately due to the heat, so it effectively covered lunch. The butler added me on WeChat before check-in and was super responsive to all my questions – highly recommend! As for areas for improvement, the sun loungers on the beach looked a bit dirty and poorly maintained; I hope they can improve that. Also, the beach here isn't as lively as the ones in Lingshui, though that might be due to it being the off-season.

GGuest UserThe hotel's service started even before check-in. Our butler added us on WeChat to help arrange a pick-up. Upon arrival at the pier, there was a fast track lane with an electric buggy waiting. The hotel staff assisted us with our luggage throughout, from the car to the hotel and vice versa. The hotel itself is quite spacious with beautiful greenery and a very photogenic lawn. Our butler even upgraded our room, so we had an ocean view right from our window. A small robot guided us to our room upon arrival. The room had a generous living space, and the balcony featured a small pool where we could have warm water. Some paths were subtly screened by greenery, providing privacy while still being convenient for getting around. Even when we ordered food late at night or requested tissues, the service was excellent. Breakfast was quite varied, offering Western, Chinese, and Hainan-style noodles. The Hou'an noodles were especially delicious! We initially chose this hotel for its fast-track service, but after staying one night, we realized it's a great choice for a longer, relaxing vacation.

GGuest UserI'm quite satisfied with my stay. I booked my flight and hotel on the day of the Qingming Festival. I'd actually been looking at hotels for days, and on the booking day, this was the most suitable option when searching for queen-size sea view rooms under a thousand yuan. Xiaodonghai is very private overall; I later visited Dadonghai and found it too flashy. The hotel's public areas aren't large, but for a young person traveling alone, it was perfectly sufficient and convenient. The pool offers views of the mountains, sea, coconut trees, and green lawns. I was pretty much the only one swimming, which was a really awesome experience! You can even glimpse the sea from the bathtub in the room, and the showerhead had excellent water pressure, which I really liked. I hope to come back to Sanya during the peak season on a sunny day next time.

The service at this hotel is truly excellent! The bathroom was a pleasure to use even when washing up in the morning.
