Our flight was delayed, so we didn't arrive in Haikou until the middle of the night. Luckily, the hotel offered pick-up service right from the airport, and they even helped us with our luggage.
The location is fantastic, very close to the airport, which saved us a lot of hassle. It's also right next to a Jihua Hotel.
The front desk staff saw we had a baby and kindly upgraded our room to one with a loft, which made our child incredibly happy!
Despite the affordable price, the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. There's even a small courtyard where kids can play. This hotel offers excellent value for money.

Five-star review! The free room upgrade at Sanya Tiancheng Hotel was such a delightful surprise ✨
Choosing Sanya Tiancheng Hotel for this trip to Sanya was definitely the right decision! I had only booked a basic sea-view room, but upon check-in, I was informed of a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. It was such a pleasant, unexpected bonus that truly made me happy and satisfied.
The upgraded room was incredibly spacious and featured its own private ocean-view balcony. Opening the window revealed stunning panoramic views of the clear blue sea and the iconic Phoenix Island – the scenery was absolutely breathtaking! The room was impeccably clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. It even came equipped with a washing machine and refrigerator, which added to the convenience of the stay. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the city center. It's just a short walk to the beach, and shopping districts and food streets are all nearby, making dining, shopping, and getting around incredibly easy. Plus, there's free parking for those who drive.
While it doesn't offer an excessive array of complex services, the core experience was truly excellent, and the room upgrade alone made it incredibly worthwhile – fantastic value for money! I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Sanya, and I've already recommended it to my friends~

This stay was absolutely perfect! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, KK at the front desk greeted me with such warmth and enthusiasm. She not only patiently answered all my questions but also proactively introduced the hotel's high-tech amenities, like the smart robot that effortlessly handles food orders, deliveries, and information inquiries – truly impressive technology! Even more surprising, there's a self-service washer and dryer right next to the room, with complimentary detergent provided. The entire wash and dry cycle only takes two hours, which is incredibly thoughtful for guests staying longer or needing frequent laundry.
KK provided service with a constant smile throughout my stay, helping with my luggage upon check-in and even presenting a local specialty gift upon check-out. These small details really highlight their attentiveness. The hotel environment was clean and bright, and the drinks and meals delivered by the robot felt incredibly considerate. From the facilities to the service, every aspect showcased the hotel's professionalism and sincerity. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shenzhen! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for efficiency combined with a personal touch!

After checking in, I had some free time, so I decided to explore the hotel. Honestly, the hotel felt quite small. The only areas to really walk around were the lobby on the 43rd floor and the pool on the 6th floor; nothing else really stood out. The lobby displayed the bedding used in the rooms, and I noticed the prices were quite high. There weren't many items for sale either. The front desk service, however, was excellent. I had a few questions, and the staff patiently explained everything. The bathtub in the room was a bit small, only fitting one person at a time. On the bright side, the cleanliness was very good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Stayed here for three nights, and overall it was decent.
It was super crowded, which made for a lively atmosphere, but we had to queue just to get into breakfast, though the wait wasn't too long.
The prices here are really high. A bottle of Coke Zero at the water park was 28, and a serving of Oden (6 skewers) was 48 (68 downstairs at the hotel). A single squid skewer was 48! At the Japanese restaurant downstairs, a bowl of Udon was 138 and a beef rice bowl was 168. We really should have taken a taxi to eat out, but we were just too lazy 😭.
On the other hand, the room service food was delicious, and by comparison, it didn't seem so expensive. A set menu with four dishes (pictured in Figure 4) was 378.
The worst experience here was the travel photography service (Fuyou Pai). The hotel offered five complimentary digital raw photos. First off, the photographer was probably in their forties or fifties, and had us pose in those old-fashioned studio styles from my childhood – and I couldn't refuse! 😭 The raw photos weren't even as good as what I could take with my phone, so I had no choice but to pay 100 for retouched versions. Then I ended up spending another 680 to buy 15 more retouched photos. That money was totally wasted. I've got a new goal for 2026: learn photography 📷.
I thought the C Show performance was just okay, but the kids loved it and wanted to see it again 😓. Definitely get seats in the middle.

I've stayed here twice, and both times the front desk service during check-in was very poor. The executive lounge service was a hit or miss, and there was one female staff member whose attitude was exceptionally bad (I forgot her name, but everyone should avoid her).
However, I must commend the housekeeping staff. They were incredibly meticulous, even helping me hang my freshly washed clothes on the balcony, carefully laying them out one by one with towels underneath. I was deeply touched. A special shout-out to Chen Shanghong; with such dedication, you're bound to succeed wherever you go! 👍

Our butler, Lulu, messaged us on WeChat beforehand to ask what we needed, and her replies were always super prompt – excellent service! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The hotel pool water wasn't very clean; hope they can pay more attention to that in the future.
Parking was quite tight, and breakfast wasn't really worth the price.
At checkout, the doorman didn't help with our luggage, making the elderly guests carry their own bags to the car. This was the first time I've ever seen such service.

The service here deserves full marks! Every staff member I encountered was incredibly enthusiastic. Our butler, Coco, was very responsive to all our questions and proactively offered help. The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—which made for a fantastic night's sleep. From check-in to check-out, there was absolutely nothing to complain about; the whole experience was excellent.

Room: I thought being next to the airport would be noisy, but it was actually fine after experiencing it. Our family sleeps pretty well, and we had a peaceful night with our nine-year-old child. The hotel's decor is typical of a budget hotel.
Service: The main clientele seems to be transit passengers or airline crew. I saw many flight attendants, which makes sense as it's convenient for quick transfers. Plus, you don't need to go to the front desk to check out; there's a card drop-off point right there.
The photos aren't of the surrounding scenery; from the room, you can only see the airport, where you can watch planes take off and land.

MGM was the most satisfying hotel of this trip. Every penny spent on the room felt like it was directly benefiting me, unlike other hotels that offer a bunch of activities I'd never use.
MGM has an abundance of shows and water activities, many of which are free. Every day of our stay was filled with enjoying the hotel's offerings – it was incredibly fulfilling!
Room: We stayed on the 9th floor, and there was absolutely no musty smell. The room was quite spacious and bright. The facilities showed minimal wear and tear, still looking relatively new. The floors and bathroom walls were stone, which prevented dust accumulation, and the overall space felt airy with good ventilation.
Cleanliness: The cleaning was very thorough. One day, while I was in the room during cleaning, I told the staff member to just do a quick clean since we had a lot of items and clothes piled up. However, she still meticulously wiped down every single spot. She was incredibly polite and sincere while cleaning, wishing us a good time. I even made a point to check her name tag; it was Fu Shangyi.
Service: I have to give a special shout-out to the baggage staff in the lobby. We arrived and checked in, then immediately rushed to a water activity class. After calling the concierge downstairs, our luggage was promptly delivered to our room, ensuring we didn't miss any of our class, even though the hotel was fully booked that day! The staff's efficiency was exceptional!
Every single staff member at the hotel greeted us, making us feel very welcome! Everyone, regardless of their role, was diligent, responsible, and proactive in assisting guests. One day, I couldn't find my jacket after breakfast. I went back to the Pinju restaurant to look for it, but it wasn't there. The front desk staff meticulously took down all the details on paper, promising to help me find it and contact me. (Later, I found it myself elsewhere).
Both hotel restaurants served excellent breakfast, and dining options around the hotel were also convenient, with a Baíhuāgǔ shopping center nearby. Food delivery was also quite fast.
The 'MGM Live Pool Bar Cocktail Package' (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays) is absolutely fantastic! Try to catch a show if you can!

Bbluewin****A five-star hotel, highly recommended! It's built into the hillside, offering a beautiful and pleasant environment. Dining in the sunroom, surrounded by lush greenery, was absolutely delightful. In the mornings, you can go for a run in or around the hotel, and in the evenings, unwind in the hot springs. We also enjoyed the coconut chicken at the hotel restaurant – a truly wonderful vacation experience. My only regret is that the outdoor pool water was a bit cold in January, so swimming wasn't an option. The occupancy seemed quite high, and the staff were patient and attentive. Even though it's not far to walk, you can call for an electric buggy every time you go in or out. This is an ideal rainforest getaway in central Hainan.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about a 25-minute drive from Haikou East Railway Station. It is a large resort mainly designed for golf visitors. The hot spring pools are located very close to the hotel building and stay open until 11 p.m. The breakfast starts as early as 6 a.m., which is convenient for early risers or guests catching a morning flight. The location is not very convenient, as the nearest shopping mall is about a 20-minute drive away. We booked a room for three adults, but the hotel only provided two complimentary entries to the hot spring pools. The third guest had to pay 88 RMB. Since the booking clearly included three adults, it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to extend complimentary access for all three.
Overall, it’s a spacious resort with enjoyable hot springs.

MM407110****I spontaneously booked the Banyan Tree, and I'm really glad I did.
It's not particularly close to the airport, about a 40-45 minute drive.
Check-in was very smooth; my luggage was sent directly to the room. The room I booked was close to the lobby, but they do have a shuttle service for rooms further away.
The room itself was excellent – very spacious with two large floor-to-ceiling windows that provided amazing light. There was also a private pool (which I unfortunately didn't get to use). A separate small room for watching TV or dining was a great touch, preventing food smells from lingering in the main room. The outdoor bathtub in the courtyard was also a lot of fun. The hairdryer provided was a Laifen, which is quite good, though a Dyson would have been even better… given the price point. Moreover, the turndown service offered proactively each evening truly shows that Banyan Tree's service is a cut above typical five-star hotels.
As a lunch option, the Mingyue restaurant felt a bit underwhelming, especially when compared to steakhouses at Mandarin Oriental hotels or the Ming Court/T'ang Court at Langham hotels I've stayed at in Shanghai. However, the breakfast definitely met expectations.
The gym was a bit old and the equipment was quite basic. I guess not many vacationers come here to work out. It would be good for outdoor running though.
Finally, the private beach – this is what I booked it for, and it was fantastic! The sand was clean, the sea was beautiful, and there were special pavilions where you could relax. Perfect.
I also have to commend the butler service. They were very diligent and responsible, always ready to assist with any request, truly living up to the Banyan Tree brand.

YYiduoxiaohuaovoThe hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel boasts stunning views and excellent facilities. Our room was spacious and elegant. There's a shuttle service available from the villa, which itself feels like a beautiful garden with abundant lush greenery. The breakfast was also fantastic with a wide variety of dishes. After just one night, I'm certain I'll choose Metropark Hotel again next time. A special thank you to Tony for all his help and service during our stay.

HHushangshuqiRegis, you're truly amazing! This place is the epitome of old-money luxury resorts, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The day before check-in, our butler proactively created a group chat. From itinerary advice to fulfilling our requests, their responses were incredibly prompt. On the night it got chilly, they even delivered warm milk and ginger tea to our room. That cozy cup instantly chased away the seaside chill – the thoughtfulness in every detail was just wonderful.
The private beach and estate are a true gem. The sand is so fine, it feels like walking on cotton. It's uncrowded and peaceful; you don't have to jostle for space. Just lying there, enjoying the sea breeze, the clear blue sky, and having that slice of tranquility all to yourself is pure bliss. The breakfast also completely defied the negative reviews online. There's a wide variety of both Western and Chinese options. The freshly made seafood congee and the freshly baked waffles were both excellent. Starting the day well-fed and satisfied is just the best.
I have to specifically highlight the hotel's SPA massage. The essential oils had a subtle herbal scent, and the masseuse's technique was professional and precise. After the massage, I felt completely relaxed and all my fatigue vanished.
If I had to mention a minor drawback, it's that the hotel is a bit older and doesn't have smart toilets. However, these small imperfections absolutely don't detract from the overall experience.
After all, the streamlined design of new hotels just doesn't have this kind of accumulated luxury and poise. I really didn't want to leave after staying here. I'll definitely bring my friends to visit again next time!

MM472981****The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of Yalong Bay, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Plus, we got a 5% discount at the duty-free shop! The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. The freshly squeezed juices and specialty pastries were especially delicious. The shuttle service was on-call and prompt, with friendly and attentive drivers who quickly took us wherever we wanted to go, whether it was to a restaurant, the lobby, or other areas. The overall service atmosphere at the hotel was excellent; the staff were incredibly professional, always smiling, and made us feel so comfortable.
Our one-night stay was absolutely perfect. If our travel plans hadn't changed, we definitely would have stayed longer. The warm service from Ms. Helena, coupled with the hotel's high-quality facilities, made us completely fall in love with this place. We've already added this hotel to our 'must-stay' list for Sanya, and we'll definitely choose Pullman again on our next visit, and recommend it to all our friends! A huge commendation to the room attendant too – such excellent staff truly elevate the experience. By the way, there are rosewood carvings in the hotel lobby that emit a subtle fragrance, along with a wishing tree and wishing well. This hotel is truly worth a stay!

MMajima_GoroFacilities: The pool king room was fantastic. The room had a walk-in closet, and the toilet and shower were separate on either side, offering a wet-dry split. There were two sinks, and the bathtub came with bath salts and cleaning tools. The toilet was smart. The air conditioning in the room was consistently stable with no noise, and the sound system and TV experience were also good. The only downside to my room type was that the pool wasn't heated, which is understandable given the price point. It gets quite cold on cloudy days this season.
Hygiene: The room and pool were cleaned daily.
Environment: The Wanda Reign is better suited for couples or those who prefer a quiet getaway; the relaxation experience is excellent. I wouldn't recommend it for families with children, as the villa rooms don't offer other kid-friendly amenities – those are all next door at the Wanda Vista. I suppose the main issue might be its age; some of the hotel's facilities or areas show signs of wear and tear upon closer inspection.
Service: The service was excellent. They helped deliver takeout and packages, and you could call for a shuttle service. During holidays, be aware that you might have to wait a bit longer. Our butler, Eddy, was always on standby, and the service was very attentive.
MM250580****The butler, Dahei, was incredibly thoughtful and provided excellent service!
I highly recommend Wuzhizhou Island Coral Hotel! As the only resort on the island, staying here gives you VIP fast-track access to the island and shuttle service upon check-in, completely eliminating the hassle of queuing. Booking a package that includes tickets and ferry is super cost-effective. From the window, you're greeted by a clear blue sea, and the private balcony offers panoramic views of both sunrise and sunset. The 60㎡ spacious room is clean and tidy, featuring wooden furniture with ocean-themed decor, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. The 24-hour island concierge service is attentive and thoughtful, and they even proactively upgraded our room type. The family room comes with dedicated children's facilities, and the free childcare service allows parents to enjoy their time worry-free. Within the hotel, you can pet alpacas and feed peacocks, and the fine white sand beach is just a short walk away. Water activities like diving and jet skiing are right outside your door. The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety, and the seafood hot pot buffet is fresh and delicious. You can enjoy ocean views and flamingos while dining. In the evening, you can savor the tranquility of the deserted beach. The entire trip was comfortable and delightful, definitely a hidden gem for a Sanya vacation!

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel for a week and wanted to compare it to my experience four years ago. The hotel's exterior has barely changed over this period, now looking a bit worn. It's clear that there haven't been any renovations or updates to the facilities in years. However, it still maintains a comfortable atmosphere. On the other hand, you can also sense that hotel management is doing everything possible to cut costs, trimming anything they deem non-essential.
The breakfast has become much simpler, with very, very, very limited variety and options. The food also has a distinctly ”cheap” taste. Of course, you won't go hungry, and you'll always find one or two dishes you like, but it's certainly not the lavish buffet you'd expect from a high-end hotel anymore.
Evidence of cost-cutting is also visible in the hotel's infrastructure and beach area. There aren't many sun loungers on the beach, and most of them are in need of repair.
However, not everything is negative. The hotel staff are still incredibly hardworking and enthusiastic. Rooms are cleaned promptly, the bedding and towels are spotlessly white, and the front desk staff are very efficient. Overall, these are the most important aspects for any hotel. By international standards, this hotel genuinely deserves a 3-4 star rating.
Regarding the hotel's location, I'd like to highlight Xiaodonghai Bay. It's picturesque with beautiful scenery, far from the perpetually bustling Dadonghai. For those seeking tranquility, it's an excellent choice, yet it's also close enough to Dadonghai that you can easily take a taxi to the vibrant resort areas.

GGuest UserThe hotel is near Qixianling, surrounded by hot spring hotels. This hotel opened earlier and the facilities are a little old, but the room we stayed in was just renovated and the facilities were OK. The garden is full of betel nut trees, the swimming pool is large and the water is clean. The hot spring pool is separated for men and women, but there are few pools. The breakfast is pretty good, but the cleaning is slow. The overall price/performance ratio is OK
