The location truly can't be beat. It's just a few minutes' walk to the commercial area and subway station, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. The Bell and Drum Towers are right across the street, and Kaiyuan Temple is nearby. However, the stay also had some significant downsides. The soundproofing is a major issue; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room and footsteps in the hallway at night. The TV volume was incredibly loud; even on a very low setting, it was still too much. As a light sleeper, I really struggled and didn't get a good night's rest. The shower was another headache. The water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold, and I spent ages trying to find a comfortable setting, making showering a constant source of anxiety. While the location is definitely a plus, the shortcomings in service and facilities really impacted the overall experience. I hope the hotel can make some improvements.

Traveling to Xi'an, I had my eye on this hotel before I arrived, and the reviews looked great. It definitely met my expectations! You can even see the Bell Tower from the room, and I was lucky enough to be there during a snowfall – Xi'an transformed into Chang'an, 'a snowy Chang'an, half-dreaming in the human world.' The staff's service was impeccable, practically fulfilling every request. The facilities are comprehensive, and Chang'an is wonderful. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely stay again to experience the beauty of Chang'an.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Xi'an, super close to many attractions, especially the Bell Tower – just a 5-minute walk! There's also a subway station right outside. The front desk staff, especially one lovely lady, was incredibly warm and helpful; she even arranged a late check-out for us and gave us a souvenir. The afternoon tea and breakfast were both excellent. Plus, the laundry room and gym are open 24/7, which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back.

This hotel boasts an excellent location right next to the Yongning Gate city wall, and conveniently, next to Heshunhui Shopping Mall. Upon checking in, you can enjoy a Hanfu experience at their Hanfu studio on the 8th floor. We took our child there, and she looked absolutely beautiful after getting dressed up and having her makeup done. You can then wear the Hanfu to the city wall! The metro station is just a two-minute walk away, and the hotel is perfectly situated for visiting nearby attractions. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and I found the staff to be incredibly warm and welcoming. Their service was outstanding; when we checked in, they offered us tea, helped with our luggage, and even escorted us to our room. The room itself was spotless and the service continued to be excellent. All in all, I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an because it was truly wonderful.

Holiday Inn Express Xi-An Bell Tower is an epic stay!!! The entrance is located in the corner of a major street (more silent), the staff don’t speak great English, but they try their best to help you and your family! The rooms are grate, clean, modern, with frigobar and safe, desk with light, side table to lunch, lots of amenities, different pillow softness to chose, perfect size bathroom with TRESemmé products. Also the hotel offers welcome drink and basket of fruits, full time free bottles of water, in the reception and in the floors! The breakfast is perfect, lots of options, international and traditional options! The location is like steps from Bell Tower, next to the metro, central, perfect! You will love staying here!

This stay was very bad. Very bad. We were arranged to stay in the north. The north side faces the street. The cars passing by at 4 o'clock in the morning, especially the cement tankers, were very loud. It was impossible to fall asleep. No matter how good, comfortable, and welcoming the hotel is, it can't stand such noise, especially the window where I stayed was the entrance and exit of the parking lot, and there was an intelligent voice gate that announced the vehicle number in and out, which was very loud. The experience was very bad, and I would like to remind you. If you stay in this hotel, don't stay on the north side of the hotel.

During my stay at Crowne Plaza, I found the accommodation very satisfactory. The room was a good size, featuring a comfortable, super large bed, mini fridge, kettle but no milk, this had to be requested. Also, the slow drainage in the shower was messy and inconvenient. Overall the room was very nice. The hotel’s lobby was spacious and attractively designed, setting a welcoming tone upon arrival. The lounge and the 40th-floor bar were definite highlights, offering a cool and inviting ambiance. The breakfast provided met standard expectations and was enjoyable. I’d like to extend a special acknowledgment to Tony, whose help during check-in and arranging breakfast in my room when I wasn’t feeling well was exceptional, demonstrating outstanding service. Crowne Plaza’s prime location adjacent to a mall and the bridge offered numerous options for leisurely walks and sightseeing, adding to the overall convenience. Although I didn’t personally utilize the gym or pool, they appeared to be well-maintained. Best hotel in the city for sure.

The hotel is in a very convenient location in the city center, making it easy to get around. The facilities are excellent, with delivery robots and a Tmall Genie smart control system in the rooms. The room itself was clean and tidy. They also offer great added services like afternoon tea and a late-night bowl of noodles. The staff were very polite. I will definitely come back again.

Love love love this hotel. My friends and I had an incredible stay at this hotel. Their service is top-notch, clean and staff is always helpful. We booked the Yuantuo Suite for 3 of us and the room is super spacious, bathroom comes with separate bath, toilet and a bathtub. The toiletries they provided was really good- I ended buying a bottle of shampoo home. The location is definitely excellent- subway line 2 is just outside, walking distance to the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Muslim Quarters. Many eateries nearby, pushcart stalls outside the hotel from breakfast to supper. Big malls and shops nearby if you want to shop. Best of all, hotel is quiet though it is near all these attractions so we can have a good sleep without the bustling noise. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time we are in Xi'an.

The hotel is located in a garden area, and the room is relatively spacious. My friend felt that the shampoo products were very suitable for her to use. The hotel also has free laundry and drying services, and the waiters are very enthusiastic. Parking is free in the basement. Just call the front desk to report your license plate number when you go out. There are many restaurants near the hotel, which is convenient. Recommend everyone

XXiaoqiyaWe stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

JJicanlanI absolutely love this hotel, so much so that I know it will be my go-to choice every time I visit Xi'an! The environment is elegant, quiet, and grand, and the location is excellent. But more, *much* more importantly, I have to give their service 100 calls of praise! On our first day, the front desk小姐姐 (young lady) greeted us warmly and arranged a room that was conveniently close to the elevator yet still quiet. They even gave us two complimentary breakfasts for the kids. The breakfast itself was fresh, abundant, and varied, with different options each day. Plus, they had the kids' favorite after-meal fruit, which made them eager to go downstairs for breakfast every morning 😄. There were welcome fruits in the room, and my son said the green pear was especially delicious, not enough to satisfy him. I searched on a flash-sale app for ages but couldn't find it. I asked the front desk小姐姐, who told me it was a 'milk date' (奶枣) 🤭, and a little while later, they sent a portion to our room – truly heartwarming! It got quite cold at night, and upon returning to the hotel, the front desk小姐姐 brought us warm gorgon fruit and lotus seed soup. Who understands the warmth of that single sip?~ When we boarded the hotel's shuttle bus to the airport, just before departure, the front desk小姐姐 handed me a hearty, warm breakfast, saying that she noticed I hadn't brought breakfast for the kids since it was so early, and that it was for them to eat on the way… Oh my goodness, I was almost moved to tears!… I felt so much reluctance to leave. I love Xi'an, a city full of stories, but it's because of Yunhe Yebo Hotel that I've gained a deeper appreciation for Xi'an's 'warmth'. I believe we will definitely meet again!

They even proactively recommended some great local restaurants. Definitely good value for money.

GGuest UserThe facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite.

Mmomo_01Staying at this hotel near Xi'an's Bell Tower was truly a gem! This quiet, dedicated, and wonderful hotel deserves to be recognized. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped by the sweet aroma of roasted sweet potatoes, instantly warming my heart. In the evening, the fireplace flickers, creating an incredibly atmospheric ambiance – every photo I took looked like a movie still. The rooftop pool bar at night was an unexpected delight! The afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious, and the service staff were so gentle and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Xi'an. TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

2219626****They say the beauty of travel is half in the scenery and half in the accommodation experience. My recent stay at Mehood Lestie Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street completely changed my expectations for hospitality services. Especially 'Spring Breeze Ambassador' Xiao Yi at the front desk, whose constant thoughtful care added an extra layer of warmth to my Xi'an trip. The hotel's location is truly golden. It's a 1-minute walk to Guangji Street Station on Metro Line 6 and a 3-minute stroll into the lively Huimin Street. The majestic Bell and Drum Towers are practically within reach. Whether it's climbing the city wall for a sunrise in the morning or hitting the Xiaonanmen Night Market late at night, getting around was absolutely stress-free. As soon as I got out of the car, I saw a security guard proactively coming over to help with my luggage. Walking into the lobby, I was immediately enveloped by the warm atmosphere created by soft lighting and wooden decor. Xiao Yi was already waiting with a friendly smile, offering a cup of warm red date tea that instantly melted away my travel fatigue. Learning it was our first time in Xi'an, she not only quickly arranged an early check-in but also thoughtfully assigned us a room facing a quiet courtyard to avoid the bustling noise from Huimin Street affecting our rest. Her meticulous attention to detail was truly touching. During check-in, Xiao Yi's professionalism and thoughtfulness were even more impressive. She thoroughly explained the hotel's 3.0 service system, from the operating hours of the free laundry room to the diverse selection of Chinese and Western dishes for breakfast, and even the comforting 'late-night noodle' service – explaining each in detail. To my surprise, she also proactively offered a hand-drawn Xi'an travel guide, marking must-try local delicacies on Huimin Street, showing prime photo spots for the Bell and Drum Towers to avoid crowds, and even tips for visiting the Stele Forest Museum during off-peak hours. She even included clear public transportation routes, which was far more practical than any online guide. This level of anticipating needs perfectly embodies Mehood's philosophy that 'the ultimate goal of service is not satisfaction, but感动 (being deeply moved).' The room quality also exceeded expectations. The elegant, retro decor perfectly complemented the ancient city's charm. The pocket spring mattress was just right – soft yet supportive, and the 99.99% blackout curtains ensured we could sleep in every day. The hotel's dining service is also commendable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with both Chinese and Western buffets, exquisite Western pastries, and fresh fruits. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was authentic. The complimentary afternoon tea provided various snacks and beverages, and there was a special fruit platter in the afternoon. Returning to the hotel late at night, a bowl of hot noodles with side dishes instantly cured a day's fatigue. On the day of departure, Xiao Yi had already arranged for staff to help with our luggage and prepared special Xi'an refrigerator magnets and terracotta warrior figurines as souvenirs. She also provided detailed information on the best route to the high-speed train station and注意事项 (precautions) for waiting, repeatedly reminding us to keep our belongings safe. The success of Mehood Lestie Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street is not only due to its excellent location and high-quality facilities but also to employees like Xiao Yi, who truly embody the 'as if bathed in spring breeze' service philosophy. With her professional service, genuine care, and keen insight, she ensures every guest feels a warmth that exceeds expectations. This stay was perfect, and next time I come to Xi'an, this will definitely be my first choice. I will also unhesitatingly recommend it to my friends and family, hoping this warmth can be passed on to more travelers!
