Staff were really friendly and the resort feels very safe, the entertainment team are brilliant, food is good especially the grill part of the restaurant. There isn’t as much choice as some bigger hotels all inclusive but we always found something we liked. Beach and aqua park are nice for a change if you get bored of the pool

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.
Zya Regina Resort and Aqua Park Hurghada

The Regina is a basic all inclusive hotel right in the centre of Hurghada. Easy walking distance to the Marina and bars, restaurants etc are right outside the front door. Majority of staff are friendly, tips get you better service (as in most places in Egypt). Samir who cleaned our bungalow was absolutely fantastic, every day he left something else in our room that helped us enjoy our stay. From a kettle (not typical to get in Egypt all inclusive) to hotel embroidered slippers and a wonderful smile every single day, I hope the management cherish him as he is simply brilliant. The bungalow was spacious enough but the shower was tiny, beds comfy, plenty of clean towels too. The food is basic and not to the standard I’ve had in other hotels in Hurghada but there was always something to have. The beer is poured in to small glasses from a bottle and all the spirits are local equivalents. If like me you need coffee early morning (before 7) then you’ll have to pay for it. They have a machine in a little cafe area and at the pool/beach bars but machine coffee is not available whilst breakfast is being served. Instead it’s provided in a huge urn and not very palatable. If you arrive before 3pm you’re not entitled to have lunch or dinner after 12 o’clock check out on your last day…they cut your band off when you check out. If you check in after 3pm then you can get a voucher from reception which allows you to have lunch. I’ve never had this at any other hotel in Egypt (this was my 18th visit) and adds to the basic feel of the hotel. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel to enjoy the ever present sunshine then the Regina could be for you.

Hotel is half-pansion system means you have a good breakfast and a good dinner. Hotel has her own beach and heated pool. If you used to huge hotels this hotel is like a small nice boutique hotel. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are cleaning every day. Bottled water, coffee, tea and kettle are suitable every day in the room. Flat tv, refrigirator and clima are in the room. I couldn't be able to start the clima machine for heating but there is a good machine. You ask hair drier from reception for free. Restaurant is also clean and meals are enough and delicious. If you will go to early tour hotel prepare your breakfast for free and if your tour return late hotel prepare and serve your dinner late. Just tell the reception you will go early and returning late. They just ask 50 eygpt pound per person for packing the meals. 1 gb internet for room is not enough for the stay but you can buy extra from the reception. Only one card for a room and extra charge for second room card is not fair. Whole employee of the hotel are very kind and try to help you but each of them should ask everthing to manager. Taking pitza or something from outside is a problem. Also alcohol is not permitted in this hotel as mostly in Egypt. I think hotel needs more customer needs and pleasures based; not rules based. They need to have a fair price for early checkin and late checkout. May be just for shower. Tour desk in the hotel is very helpful and fair price. If you have any problem find Mr. Alla and Ms. Ruvan. Your problem will be solved faster. I advice my two friends to checkin this hotel and they checkin. I will come back.

The general service ecology is good, but the front desk generally has a poor attitude. I have encountered several things and found different front desks. The attitude is very poor. Only the lobby wifi is free, so the lobby is free to surf the Internet because we bought the data ourselves. It’s okay if there is no wifi in the room, but the signal in the room is very, very poor. I dived out to sea and there was a 4g full grid in the middle of the sea. In the room, a WeChat message was often sent out for two minutes and it was still in circles. If you want to experience a person The quiet world, welcome to live. Speaking of diving, the dive center in Hilton is a pit. We collected money for 5 dives, but only arranged 4 dives. In the end, the dive found various reasons not to take us, and when we started to pay, we must To double check, we wanted Euros at the time. We wanted to pay in US dollars. The person who collected the money pretended to help us check the exchange rate and over quoted us the price. Fortunately, the locals had been scammed by the locals before. After checking it, he told him that the price was wrong, and he said that he had calculated it wrong. And when diving on the first day of the two dives, there is still 100-120bar before the boat rises, and there is no reason. On the second day, another dive guide kept asking us to buy a photo package instead of throwing the phone on the spot. It was a very poor experience. The hotel’s private beach is not very good, the water is muddy, there is nothing to see when snorkeling, and there is no living creatures. The water quality is not as good as the hotel’s private beach in the city center. The only bit of food is okay. But the beer is mixed with water. Will not book this hotel again, and will not recommend it to anyone, who is going to be stupid.

Quite good all inclusive - plan, nice assortment of coctails and food. Only the ala cartes could be better. They serve same food than the buffet but you just get is served to the table. More variance. Also the reservation for the ala cartes is difficult and they are always fullybooked so we couldt even try them all. Waiters seems to serve more the house personnel who weirdly eat with the customers at same restaurant. It didnt feel nice when the cook sit whith his kitchen clothes next to us or the officers with theis suits when you are yourself at holiday mood and dressed accordingly. Usually there is own cantines for workers. Not the best beach, there isnt anything to see compared to some resorts with reefs with lot of fishes but they do have a free golc course (Par3) so it compensates, you cant have it all, can you. Big pool was freezing, even the sea is warmer so if you rely on that one and dont like to sea then you will be dissapointed. We liked the beac more as the pool gives the swimming hall wibes with the dreary tiles. I wish they would make pools more exitng and this is not for Steigenberger but generally. Nice touch that they filled the minibar daily with coke, beer and juices and it was included. They had some kind of evening program but unfortunately it was always in the front of buffet restaurant so you would need to dine there to enjoy it. Why there isnt anything at the beach? Beach parties, disco, dance shows etc. It would be nice!
Pickalbatros Palace - Aqua Park Hurghada

As a guest who recently stayed at the Pickalbatros Palace Resort with my family, I feel compelled to delve deeper into the profound disappointment we experienced during our visit. Despite considering myself to be quite adaptable and understanding, the shortcomings of this resort were so glaring that they eclipsed even the most basic expectations. Opting for the Pickalbatros Palace Resort, renowned for its esteemed service and family-friendly atmosphere, I anticipated a memorable stay that catered to the needs of both adults and children alike. However, from the onset, it became evident that our expectations were far from being met. Let's address the coffee situation, which may seem trivial but underscored a broader issue of attentiveness to guest needs. The abrupt termination of coffee service at 10 am each morning was not just inconvenient; it was a logistical nightmare, particularly for parents with young children in tow. Having to trek to either the reception or beach bar post-breakfast for a simple cup was an unnecessary hassle. While the introduction of instant coffee near the kids club following my complaint was a step in the right direction, the fact that it was only available until 5 pm sharp, coinciding with the closure of key facilities, felt like a half-hearted attempt to rectify the situation. This limited timeframe for coffee availability highlighted a disconnect between the resort's promises of excellence and the actual guest experience, leaving many feeling underserved and overlooked. Moving beyond the caffeine conundrum, the lackluster offerings at the kids' club were particularly disheartening. Despite the presence of children's slides in the pool area, the dearth of engaging activities left our young ones bored and restless, especially on inclement weather days. The absence of staple food options like chicken nuggets or fish fingers further compounded the challenge of keeping children well-fed and content throughout the day, leaving many parents scrambling to find suitable alternatives. Adding insult to injury was the distressing incident involving discolored water in the bathroom, which resulted in irreversible damage to one of our garments. The sight of orange water running down the pipes not only raised concerns about hygiene but also cast doubts on the overall maintenance standards of the resort. Such issues should never be overlooked, as they directly impact the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Despite these disappointments, it's only fair to acknowledge some redeeming qualities of our stay. The culinary offerings, albeit repetitive at times, were undeniably delicious, providing a brief respite from our overall dissatisfaction. Additionally, the presence of heated pools offered a semblance of comfort amidst the windy weather, albeit serving as minor consolation amidst our broader grievances. In conclusion, our experience at Pickalbatros Palace Resort fell far short of the glowing reviews that initially en

Booked in Ctrip, this cheap price can also be all-inclusive, the winter swimming pool is very comfortable to swim, the water park is also free. There are also restaurants available outside the buffet every day, including two Chinese restaurants, which should be said to be the most cost-effective hotel in the world.

If I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars, I will do so. Those people are hospitality gurus, the way they treated me and my family made us all overwhelmingly happy. Every single detail was taken into consideration and exceeded my expectations. -Once in the restaurant my son was hesitant and in seconds the chef made him a special order that suits his taste. -Snacks and pizzas are so yummy. -The hotel is nice and cozy. -The views are relaxing. -Super clean Rooms, Pools and restaurants. -The main restaurant served seafood several times. However, It was never smelly and this is a plus. -Access was available to Jaz Casa Del Mar's lovely sandy beach. Words won't express my feelings when the hotel sent me a complimentary birthday cake on my birthday and another compliment was sent the next day (fruit platter, nuts and maccarons😋😋) Special thanks to reception team members (Mohamed for his close follow up on any issue, Ibrahim for his complement and Philopater for receiving us). Special Thanks to the pool bar men (Abd El Salam and Mina) they served delicious coctails 😉👌 -Special thanks to Ali Barakat in the Snacks bar -Special thanks to Ali & Hamdoun in the main restaurant. -Special thanks to Mohamed from the room service team. -Special thanks to Fares at the beach. -Special thanks to Sentido's team for making our vacation an unforgettable one.
