I was absolutely wowed the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby! The high ceilings paired with cloud-shaped chandeliers and a dynamic wave sculpture created a grand and artistic design. The marble walls and lighting added a luxurious touch, making every corner Instagram-worthy. What a fantastic first impression!
I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had added a yoga studio this stay! The overall ambiance is incredibly comfortable; the all-glass design provides excellent natural light, making it bright and clean, and the blue yoga mats instantly made me feel relaxed. All the equipment – yoga rings, foam rollers, yoga blocks – were new and neatly organized. Even the mirrors and resting area were thoughtfully arranged. Doing a yoga session here in the morning, with the breeze and the outdoor scenery, was truly the most healing part of my vacation. This hotel really understands what guests need! I found my vacation zen in the new yoga studio 🌿 After my session, I felt completely stretched out, and my mind slowed down. A vacation isn't just about lazing around; a yoga session here is a real re-energizing moment.
And the hotel's sky garden is simply delightful 🌅 Lying on the lawn watching the sunset in the evening, with the sky painted in soft pink and orange hues, was magical. The palm trees, sun loungers, and shell-shaped installations made for perfect vacation photo ops. The garden is immaculately maintained, with lush greenery. It's ideal for sunbathing and unwinding, or chatting with friends – truly a little oasis hidden in the city, providing a full-blown vacation vibe! The time spent here just gazing at the sea was incredibly relaxing. I found the perfect way to unwind on vacation in the hotel's sky garden 🌿 The evening breeze carried the scent of the ocean, and lying on a sun lounger watching the sunset slowly fall, doing absolutely nothing, felt incredibly peaceful.
The hotel's seafood buffet is absolutely incredible! Especially the sashimi section – the freshness and variety are top-notch! Salmon, tuna, octopus, and other sashimi were all freshly sliced, with beautiful marbling and a sweet, tender texture, completely free of any fishy taste. It was incredibly satisfying. Besides sashimi, the seafood stalls had a rich selection of ingredients, and there were also many unique Japanese cuisine stations. The overall atmosphere was great, and even the photo spots were super creative, allowing for both dining and great pictures. If you're on vacation, you *have* to try this – experiencing seafood freedom on holiday is just the best feeling! 💯
I was so touched by the housekeeper's thoughtful service during our family stay! Knowing we had a child, the housekeeper proactively prepared kids' toiletries and bathrobes for us, and even kindly reminded us of the kids' club hours and pool safety precautions. They took care of us throughout our stay, quickly resolving any issues, which made our family vacation so much easier and stress-free!
The room service was excellent! The room was spotless inside and out, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. The cleanliness of the room truly exceeded expectations! The floors, tables, and bathroom were all meticulously cleaned, with not a speck of dust in the corners. The bedding was also changed promptly, making our stay very reassuring. The cleaning staff were very thorough and friendly, always greeting us when they passed by. Their service was very thoughtful, showing attention to detail in everything they did. With kids, cleanliness is paramount, and the hotel's room cleaning was superb. Every day, returning to the room felt like staying in a brand new space – clean, fresh, and utterly delightful.
I highly recommend this incredible hotel to everyone.

Arrived quite late, but staff were there to guide me from the car and help with luggage. KK at the front desk processed my check-in quickly and smoothly. I had plans for the next day, so KK kindly arranged a quieter room for me, which I really appreciated. 🙏🏻 The room was refreshingly cool upon entering, as the air conditioning had already been turned on. The bedding was also very comfortable, leading to a pleasant night's sleep. The hotel features many traditional Chinese paintings of flowers and birds, and upon closer inspection, each one is unique – clearly a lot of effort went into them. Since I arrived late, I didn't book breakfast, but I heard it's served until 12 PM, so I'll definitely try it next time. Overall, it's highly recommended.

The best hotels in Wenchang are Hilton and Wyndham, and I've had a good stay at Wyndham before. This time I chose Hilton because it's close to the beach.
Concierge: Good, there was someone to meet us.
Lobby: Grand, but it would be better if the air conditioning were colder; Hainan Island has been too hot this year.
Room: We had a themed room. I suggest using rooms with better views for themed rooms in the future, as the view from our themed room was just average compared to a standard room.
Pool: Clean and hygienic. You need to register to use it, and the lifeguards are very dedicated, not slacking off at all. They were constantly moving around, watching the children in the water.
Breakfast: Tasted good.
Environment: Lots of aerospace models and popular science articles, which creates a great atmosphere.
It's very close to the beach, and you can see the launchpad when you look out.
This hotel is perfect for a family trip. It effortlessly offers everything you could want: an aquarium, a water park, a beach, outdoor swimming pools, grassy areas, palm trees, and an indoor kids' playground. Three days and two nights simply aren't enough time to enjoy it all.
We also watched the C show, mermaid show, and the dolphin and sea lion performances. The photography here is very professional.
The staff are plentiful, always ready to answer questions, and the service is excellent. A special thank you to our butler, Paopao Yu, for all her help during our stay. She recommended must-see performances, helped us with bookings, and answered all our questions, making us feel truly at home. Many thanks; it was definitely a worthwhile trip.
This is a paradise for children, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere.

This hotel is very close to Qixianling National Forest Park, making it perfect for a hot spring getaway after a hike. The hotel environment is fantastic, with lots of tropical plants, truly a natural oxygen bar. The infinity pool offers incredible views that are truly refreshing. There are two outdoor hot spring areas with many pools, but during the off-season, only one or two are open. The staff mentioned they could open more if requested, but I found the private hot tub in the room to be perfectly fine. The water temperature was just right and very comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful, but try to go early; it gets quite crowded after 8:30 AM. The air humidity is high, so remember to turn on the humidifier once you get into your room.

Our stay was incredibly pleasant from start to finish. The butler, Zirong, provided exceptional and attentive service. They proactively introduced us to the hotel facilities, highlighted key attractions nearby, and informed us about various complimentary benefits. Before heading out, they thoughtfully advised us on peak times for morning/evening excursions and buffet dining, which helped us plan our schedule efficiently and avoid queues. Throughout our stay, they were consistently kind and responded promptly to all our requests.

I originally chose this hotel because it was 'about to become a Fairmont,' and even though the sign outside no longer says that, my overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The hardware was particularly surprising: the hotel extensively uses carpeting, both in the rooms and public areas. Knowing that maintaining carpets in a high-humidity, high-salinity coastal area is extremely difficult (most seaside hotels opt for wood or tile floors – I still remember the indescribable smell at The Royal Begonia, a Luxury Collection Resort, Sanya), the carpet condition in my room this stay was excellent. It's clear they put a lot of effort into maintenance, especially for a hotel that's already nearly 20 years old (or even older?). Check-in was seamless (I didn't catch the name of the kind lady who helped me). There was also a follow-up call to the room after I settled in, which very few hotels do. While the hotel's pool isn't huge, it's very well-designed, encircling the garden with both deep and shallow areas. Seating is well-spaced out (unlike the packed rows at Sheraton, for instance), offering a genuine resort feel where guests can relax without disturbing each other. Swimming and sunbathing there were very pleasant. From the pool, you can walk out to the seaside boardwalk, which leads all the way down to Wuyuanhe National Wetland Park. It's perfect for an evening stroll or a morning workout. Coming back from a run along the beach in the morning and then soaking in the hot spring really brings on that holiday vibe. Even though it hasn't become a Fairmont yet, the hospitality lives up to the 'Royal Service' mentioned on the phone. Thank you for the hospitality, and special thanks to Megan for her thoughtful touch. For someone who loves carpets and a resort atmosphere, this is a place in Haikou worth relaxing at, and I'd definitely want to come back again.

Stayed here on June 15, 2026. First, let's talk about the pros: The hotel has a Chinese garden style. My room was on the first floor, close to both the elevator and the restaurant. The room was very spacious and even had a dehumidifier. The balcony opened right onto the lagoon pool, which was super convenient for families with elderly guests or kids to enjoy swimming. The lagoon pool itself was absolutely beautiful, and the service was excellent all around. The hotel lobby also leads directly out to Baihua Valley Commercial Street, making dining very easy. The beach is just a ten-minute walk away.
Now for the downsides: The hotel was built quite a while ago, so the bathroom didn't have any ventilation. The breakfast selection was too limited, seemingly more suited for Russians. As someone with a Chinese palate, there was very little for me to eat, making me feel like I was in Russia while sitting in the restaurant 😂😂😂. Make sure to go early for breakfast; we went close to 10 AM, and many items were almost gone.

Overall, a perfect score and highly recommended! From check-in to check-out, the staff were professional, enthusiastic, and reliable.
This stay was in a private hot spring pool room, a club room, and a high-floor sea-view room. I especially loved the private hot spring pool with its outdoor showering area – it felt so much like a Maldivian overwater villa, truly unique! The hotel was very busy, and I was pleasantly surprised when the butler and front desk helped upgrade my room type. I booked a room with executive lounge access, and I didn't leave the hotel for two days; the executive lounge was more than sufficient. The afternoon tea had a rich variety and quality ingredients, and the evening happy hour offered plenty of food, with different cocktails served each day – the experience was fantastic.
Many thanks to Butler Annie, who contacted me in advance to confirm my needs before check-in, responded promptly to all my questions during my stay, and even arranged a thoughtful check-out. She was attentive and responsible throughout. The hotel is located next to Xiaodonghai Reef Beach, where you can snorkel. The waves were quite strong on the day, so it's important to be careful if you go into the water and not go too deep. Although the water quality wasn't exceptional, I still saw many small fish. The private and serene resort atmosphere of this bay is very similar to the Phuket Merlin Marriott where I stayed before. About 80% of the guests in the resort seemed to be Russian tourists, which made it feel like an international vacation.
Overall, everything was excellent, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Sanya.

Chose Hilton for our Yalong Bay trip and had a perfect stay from start to finish! Our deluxe sea-view king room had an incredible view – the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a complete panorama of the coconut groves, pools, and the ocean. Every photo we took looked like it belonged in an island magazine. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lush tropical plants, and the multiple tiered pools have sparkling clean water, complete with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Our room was meticulously clean, and all the facilities were well-maintained and looked new. The staff were warm and attentive, responding quickly to any requests. Yalong Bay's ocean is stunning itself, and having direct access to the beach from the hotel made it super convenient for walks and playing in the water. It absolutely nailed the romantic getaway vibe. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we're in Sanya!

GGuest UserWe loooved this hotel! Amazing room, great pool. The Thai restaurant was fabulous and so was the singer who was there belting out English classics. The WeChat communication method was so easy and they were always very fast to pick you up in the carts. The hotel is great for getting to the park activities early. Breakfast was so delicious. All the staff were so helpful and where needed had a translation app to assist, so we had no issues being English speakers.
The western restaurant dinner service is average compared to everything else the hotel offers.

GGuest UserI booked a villa in the Welcome Hotel's villa area, which came with two 1.5-meter beds and a private pool. The pool was about 1.3 meters deep and 10 meters wide, exclusively for our use. The room was spacious, and my kids absolutely loved the private pool. During our stay, we also had free access to the Welcome Hotel's amenities.
Upon arrival, our butler, Lucy, added us on WeChat. We could reach out to her for any needs. She was incredibly polite, and her WeChat responses were always prompt. Anything we needed that she could arrange, she went above and beyond to help us with. A big thank you to her!
A short path led directly to the beach at Yalong Bay. We couldn't go out to sea that day due to strong winds, but the kids had a blast playing by the waves on the shore.
During our three-day, two-night stay, I experienced breakfast in both the villa area and the main hotel. The hotel area featured a large aquarium, and dining next to it allowed us to watch the fish while we ate. The hotel's public pool facilities weren't extensive, but they offered enough fun, including basketball and water volleyball equipment, plus a small children's play area.

GGuest UserOur stay at Wanda Realm during this Sanya trip far exceeded our expectations! The hotel is situated in a prime location in Haitang Bay, just a few minutes' walk from the pristine white sand beach, and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. We booked a sea-view room, and the scenery was fantastic, plus the room was spotless. The breakfast spread was also very generous. Our butler, Linna, provided exceptional service as well. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay.
GGuest UserHaving experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍
On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍
The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui.
The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍
Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍
The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍
The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗
The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee.
The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍
Big kudos again to Kaylee from guest relations! 👍 And kudos to the hotel for its excellent service! 👍
GGuest UserThe Mangrove Tree Resort is actually a great hotel. The location is good, the beach is nice, the views are stunning, and the service is also commendable. There are plenty of restaurants, and while the rooms feel a bit dated, it adds to a retro charm. It offers excellent value for money. We upgraded to a sea-view junior suite from our original package, and the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the ocean view. All our requests were met promptly, and the cleanliness was also very good. There are lots of activities for families too; we joined the beach crab hunting and were thrilled to catch two! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the hotel's photography service. The photos themselves were good, but the photographer seemed a bit upset and had a bad attitude when I was decisive about deleting some pictures during the selection process. It kind of dampened my mood for a moment. Otherwise, everything else was fantastic, and I had a very enjoyable holiday here.

LLirongzhaozhaoOur family of three (with a three-year-old) stayed for five days and four nights, and we pretty much spent all our time at the hotel or nearby. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, and overall, it was excellent! 👍 You really have to experience it yourself to know how good it is. A big thanks to Sunny for her attentiveness; even during the busy May Day holiday, her replies were quick, and our requests were handled promptly and efficiently!
🏨 **Facilities**: It has a sort of vintage, old-money vibe – spacious, which I really liked. No issues with our stay, and the duvet wasn't too thick! It was just right for sleeping with the AC on at night; adults weren't cold, and the child wasn't hot! Plus, when we asked for a bed rail, the housekeeping staff literally knocked on our door right after we finished speaking. They installed it incredibly fast, without any fuss, and were gone in a flash – unbelievably quick!
🧹 **Cleanliness**: The entire hotel was spotless and refreshing, and room cleaning was very efficient! Sometimes we only needed the trash taken out and nothing else, and a quick word to Sunny was all it took – everything was perfectly arranged.
🌴 **Environment**: It's got a kind of retro American garden aesthetic, definitely a resort feel! The public areas are large and beautiful, and the night view is stunning. The big lawn is absolutely amazing (yyds)! All three pools are lovely, and the children's pool is truly excellent 🛝. The hotel has so many picturesque spots for photos; it felt like we could get all those trending Sanya photo ops right here at the hotel! The value of hotels on Haitang Bay is definitely on the rise.
🍳 **Dining**: Breakfast was very rich, with slight variations each day. The kids' section had plenty of options too, with a dedicated area for babies, as well as large round tables and multi-person tables, perfect for big families. The Western restaurant by the pool was also great and delicious. Ordering takeout was convenient and delivered quickly; we just had to pick it up at the entrance, which I thought was fine, like a little walk 🚶.
🏋️ **Gym**: Very good! It's located near the children's adventure playground. Most of the equipment had usage tutorials, making them simple and easy to operate. Our family of three tried out all the equipment, and the child had even more fun than going out!
👶 **Kids' Club**: The area for younger children is a bit small, but still enough to play in. More toys would be even better. There's another larger one for kids aged 5 and up, which costs extra. Kids can even experience riding horses 🐎 and ostriches right here at the hotel – can you believe it?
📷 Because we had our child with us, we usually only visited one attraction per day and always came back to the hotel for an afternoon nap. We spent a lot of time at the hotel and never felt bored. Even during May Day, it wasn't overly crowded, very orderly, and quiet. There were so many things to do at the hotel: swimming, walking, watching small animals, enjoying the sea, digging in the sand, afternoon tea, playing in the kids' club, riding the mini train, collecting shells, and more. In short, we were all very satisfied, had a very pleasant holiday, and it was excellent value for money 👍. We will definitely come again next time! 🥳

AAnonymous UserThe only highlight of this hotel is the incredible view from the lobby, which directly overlooks the sea. As for the rooms, they aren't very new and the soundproofing is poor. Every morning around 7 or 8, even before I was fully awake, I'd hear guests dragging their luggage loudly outside and doors slamming shut intermittently, making it impossible to get back to sleep. The service, however, was decent.
Now, I really need to rant about the complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel; it was absolutely terrible.
1. **Photographer's attitude was subpar.**
* He clearly just wanted to finish quickly and get off work. During the shoot, he initially said I could suggest any poses or locations. But when I actually proposed where I wanted to shoot, he kept dismissing my ideas, saying certain spots weren't good or wouldn't work.
* After a few shots, I asked to see how they looked. He immediately got annoyed. I just wanted to check if there was anything I needed to adjust for subsequent photos. Was that really such a big deal?
* After seeing the photos, I felt my styling wasn't quite right; I wanted to pull my hat down a bit more. Essentially, I wasn't happy with the first few shots. He then adopted a 'if you're so good, you do it' attitude, saying things like, 'Okay, so what do *you* think looks good? You pose, and I'll shoot.' It felt incredibly impatient, like 'either you know how to pose yourself or you listen to me.' I simply wanted to adjust my look and retake the photos. Even though it was free, if the service attitude is like this, they should just assign someone else. Getting impatient after just a few shots is really frustrating. I quickly ended the session because I was genuinely unhappy. What's the point of such an attitude when their skill is mediocre? Oh well, it's free, what more can you expect?
2. **Upselling within the studio.** They take your photos for retouching, and then during the selection process, they show you the retouched versions. The retouched photos cost money and are quite expensive. The staff there actively pushes you to choose the retouched ones and pay for them. If you only want the free unedited photos, they look terrible. Firstly, the photography skills are just average, and secondly, the camera settings weren't adjusted well. It feels deliberate, as if they intentionally make the initial photos look bad to entice you to buy the retouched versions later. It's a real scam. If you have high standards for photos but don't want to spend too much, be very cautious. The free ones definitely won't look good.
3. **Photographer's attitude varied wildly.** He was clearly impatient with me, but I saw him shooting with other people, and he was all smiles and full of positive energy. Is it because my photoshoot was complimentary from the hotel? If they're so unwilling to serve these types of guests, then they shouldn't offer it in the first place. Speechless.
**Image 1** shows the sea view from the hotel lobby. **Image 2** is one of the original photos from the complimentary shoot, and you can see the lighting and filters make it look dark and unattractive. Can't they even adjust basic settings on a Fujifilm camera to make it look decent? **Image 3** is a photo I took myself, and it's better than the photographer's, and I haven't even edited it. The difference in effort is clear. Again, what more can you expect from something free? Be careful if you choose this!

CChuqiuyangguangWhat truly sets Banyan Tree Sanya apart is its unparalleled privacy. Each standalone villa is enveloped by lush greenery, creating a natural barrier, and features its own private pool and courtyard plunge pool, offering an exclusive and tranquil space. We had a dedicated 24-hour butler, Zheng Delin, who was incredibly responsive to all our needs. For our anniversary, he even arranged a complimentary room setup, which was a lovely touch and added to the special occasion. The resort boasts a secluded private bay, with hardly any outside visitors. The sunsets over the ocean in the evening were romantic and therapeutic, and the happy hour at the beach bar created a fantastic atmosphere. Every room is equipped with Banyan Tree's signature aromatherapy toiletries, and upon check-in, we received a special welcome gift and fresh fruit. The floating afternoon tea experience was exceptional. The resort's buggies are available for pick-up and drop-off at any time, ensuring a smooth and uncrowded experience. It's truly a luxurious choice for couples on their honeymoon or anyone looking for a relaxing escape, far from the hustle and bustle of crowds.

DDor2017From the moment we stepped out of the car, we felt the genuine hospitality. The doorman at the entrance enthusiastically helped open the car door and assisted with our luggage; the service was excellent. They were exceptionally professional and thoughtful. Last year, I stayed in a room above the 35th floor, which was also great. This time, I traveled with family and chose a 108-square-meter apartment, which came fully equipped with a washing machine and dryer. The guest relations staff, especially the ladies, were attentive, responsible, and meticulous. They promptly responded to all our requests, were friendly and polite, and demonstrated excellent professionalism. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and pleasant.
