5-Star Hotels in Melaka, Malaysia

This is our 2nd small luxury hotel stay. We stayed here for our anniversary. Melaka lake cruise is right in front of the hotel- a walking distance across the street. The room is cosy and lovely. Breakfast is ala carte, but you can order as many as you want from the menu (big portion!), and they're delicious! Dorothy, the staff was so attentive, she sent us a an anniversary cake to our room when she heard us talking about our special day 🥰

Great accomodation. Thank you to FO staff namely Helmi for the free upgrade to Premier Lounge room at level 20. Facilities also in good condition except tv channel and lift. Easy connection to all places. Just walking distance only. Tv channel - not many variety and unclear picture. Hotel to consider to change the tv channel package such as Astro, Vision, etc or modulator also from analog to digital, maybe? Lift - on checkout day, we had waiting for the lift from level 20 to level G for almost half an hour. Got 8 lift but non can enter. Traffic jammed. Till end up, maintenance/security staff need to block lift to pickup all the guest from top level. Hotel need to improve the traffic during peak hours. That's all from my side. Exceeded expectations, this was the best hotel experience during our trip to Malaysia, which covered four cities (Kuala Lumpur, Semporna, Kota Kinabalu, and Malacca)! The hotel is very cozy and just the right size. Its location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the Malacca River banks, Jonker Street, and the Dutch Square (Red House). We were on the 15th floor, overlooking the picturesque 'S' bend of the Malacca River. The room was spacious and well-designed, with a sofa that could be used as a child's bed.

Enjoy my trip in Courtyard by Marriot. Clean and great hospitality from the concierge, housekeeping, security, bell boy. The room really nice and quite spacious. The breakfast is totally my favorite of my stay.... great food and lot of varieties. Make sure to try their breakfast in your visit

I stayed at Birkin International Hotel in Melaka from Tuesday to Thursday. As the hotel is still new, I understand that some facilities and security features may not yet be fully operational—for example, access control requiring a room card to enter guest floors. I also understand that, as a newly opened hotel, some rooms may not have undergone complete inspections. Upon check-in, the first room assigned to us had several defects: the toilet basin was choked, and the basin handle in the small kitchen area had come off. We contacted the front desk for assistance regarding the choked basin, and they offered us a room change. A staff member whom I believe was the hotel manager came up personally, escorted us to another room, and informed us that we had been upgraded. We truly appreciated this gesture and the prompt service provided. We checked in around 3:00 p.m. and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try the hotel food. We ordered two slices of cake, fish and chips, and pizza. The food was nice and delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed it. However, I would like to highlight a concern regarding the breakfast experience. As this is a five-star hotel, I expected a high standard of hygiene with zero tolerance for flies in the dining area. Unfortunately, I noticed several flies during breakfast. On one occasion, during the nasi lemak service, I saw a fly land on a bowl of eggs. I pointed this out to the staff, but they only removed the piece of egg that the fly had landed on. This was quite alarming, and as a result, I did not dare to try the nasi lemak at all. Later, I noticed one of the staff attempting to smash a fly while wearing gloves. This made me wonder whether the gloves would be changed afterward if the fly was successfully killed. This raised further concerns about food hygiene. Because of this, I became worried and chose to eat only items that were freshly cooked on the spot, such as curry noodles. Overall, I felt disappointed with the breakfast hygiene standards and sincerely hope the hotel will take this matter more seriously. I believe Birkin International Hotel has great potential, and with improved attention to cleanliness and food safety, it can offer a much better experience for guests. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and courteous staff made me feel welcomed and valued. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced my experience. One of the delightful touches was the welcome amenities, featuring a freshly baked cookie that was simply delicious—a perfect treat after a long journey. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, easily accommodating an extra bed or two, which is fantastic for families or groups traveling together. I appreciated the layout and comfort, allowing me to relax after a day of exploring. Additionally, the hotel's location is a significant advantage. It offers easy access to many of the city's attractions, and the convenience of using Grab for transportation made navigating the area a breeze. Overall, my stay at DoubleTree Melaka was a delightful experience, thanks to the attentive staff, comfortable accommodations, and great location. I look forward to returning in the future!

Had a lovely family stay at PARKROYAL Resort A’Famosa. Kids loved the pool, lounge access was a nice touch, and the spacious, clean room made it super comfortable. It’s near to safari and water themed park. On the flip side, Wi‑Fi was a bit unstable, breakfast queues were long, and having a car definitely makes things easier. TV smart apps also couldn’t access Netflix / Disney plus. But you can screen mirror with your phone if need to. Every night 8pm, they do have movie night at the lobby area if not wrong. Amenities - can improve more and add arcade room and etc. Dinner - w/o car, you may find it difficult to go town. It’s a bit far as well , 1hr drive. We just want to chill in the family room, we ordered grab food. Overall, still a great spot for families to relax and enjoy. 🌿✨

nak pergi melaka? i will recommended to stay dekat ames hotel, even jauh sikit untuk ke bandar tapi really worth it!! dari awal check in sampai la check out, everything was really good!!!! sampai je lobby, ada orang akan welcome and buka pintu, even terserempak dengan staff hotel dekat lift or mana mana waktu dalam hotel, mereka akan greetings kita and staff hotel memang sentiasa senyum and so so frendly!! i was stay for 3d2n, breakfast on friday, tak sibuk sangat tapi untuk weekend, memang akan pack tapi staff mereka sangat laju untuk clearkan meja .. food pun tak ada yang kurang, sentiasa banyak!! kena try fresh croissant! sangat sangat sedap hehehe!! ada roti canai, nasi lemak, omelette, pastries, idli, english breakfast! eh mcm mcm lagi lahh.. mmg worth it!! room service pun laju, order dinner pun laju and sedappppp!! minta ice pun laju je staff hotel bagi, tapi dia bagi bukan main besar bekas dia🤣🤣🤣🤣 pressure air dalam toilet pun kuat, aircond sejuk, facilities semua okay!! toilet dorang cantikk sangatt!! definitely will come again!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were welcomed warmly by the staffs, with cold desserts during a hot day, after a long journey. Parking was available for guests, easy access, lowered car friendly. Every staffs was friendly. Lovely atmosphere all around. Nearby Jonker Street and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was delicious, a variety of food choices, buffet and ala-carte. Room was clean and spacious. Staff set up aroma candle during evening time too, room smells great, and they cleaned up the room a little while at it too. Overall excellent service! Highly recommended place. Thank you!

Holiday Inn is truly one of the nicer hotels around. The atmosphere and views were fantastic, and the friendly, service-oriented staff are definitely the hotel’s biggest asset. They don’t just handle bookings but also share helpful suggestions to make your stay more meaningful. I booked the hotel at the very last minute and checked in around 1:45 am. The receptionist who attended to me was very sweet and helpful. She even allowed a late checkout, though I checked out at 11:45 am to head back to Singapore early and avoid the traffic at the causeway. She also recommended great food options and interesting places nearby. Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
