The main advantage is its proximity to Terminal 5, though you'll need to take an airport shuttle, which takes about ten minutes. It's clean and tidy, and the room isn't small. The breakfast is a huge plus, perfect for catching an early flight afterwards. Perhaps because of its affordable price, it seems to have a high occupancy rate, as checking in took a bit longer.
Lovely hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful - they kindly let us check in 2 and a half hours early as our rooms were ready which was very kind. However, there were some issues: terrible signal (but there is free wifi so not too bad); we paid for buffet dinner and it was not good, do not recommend at all; the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9:45am shocked that I was still in my room (checkout is 11:00am) then asked when I was leaving (felt inappropriate and that I was being rushed as she was waiting at the end of the hallway for us to leave); lights in the room were very weak; the shower took over 5 mins for water to turn on and was not strong (not ideal was washing long hair). My family an I would not choose to stay here again unfortunately as there are many other hotels in the area for similar price. Windsor was lovely (would visit again) but there is nothing to do in old Windsor or anything near the hotel, so you are reliant on the hotel or uber.
Spacious rooms with good amenities within historically beautiful buildings with sympathetic extensions. Massive car park and quite rooms. Very responsive and interactive staff ensuring a positive experience at anytime (we arrived at 10:30 pm). In house breakfast has superior taste and the Chef has excellent mastery of the Classic English Breakfast.
The trip went very well. I enjoyed every bit of my Stay. It was very close to immunities and local conveniences without the need to go very far with equal access routes to work and to conveniences will definitely be coming again. Thank you Copthorne keep up the good work.
On my first day in London, I chose to stay at the Moxy Hotel in Slough. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was a breeze. There's a huge Tesco nearby that's great for all your daily shopping needs. The hotel is also super close to the train station, about a 5-minute walk, making it really convenient to take the Elizabeth Line to central London. Overall, it was a good experience. My only minor gripe is that the hotel hallways could use better ventilation; I'd suggest improving the airflow.
A Wonderful Stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel
We recently stayed in the Windsor House section of the hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness stood out immediately — everything from the bed to the bathroom was spotless, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s rare to feel so comfortable using hotel facilities without hesitation, but this room was truly impeccable.
The location is ideal — just by the riverside and within easy walking distance of Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, Côte Brasserie, and the boat tours. Windsor Castle is only a pleasant 15-minute walk away, making it perfect for sightseeing.
The service throughout our stay was excellent. From the warm welcome at reception to the helpful and friendly cleaning staff, every interaction felt genuinely caring and professional.
Our stay included breakfast, which was a generous British buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold options, including pastries, fresh fruit, and more. There were plenty of drink choices with refills available, and the coffee was lovely — a great way to start the day.
In conclusion, we highly recommend the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. We were extremely pleased with our experience and will definitely be returning in the future.
I've stayed at a few Holiday Inns along the way, and the one in Cambridge didn't have air conditioning, which made me a bit nervous. But this one was fine; the AC worked great, though it wouldn't turn off unless you unplugged it 😂. The surrounding area seems to be a gathering place for people from the Middle East, which was a little unsettling 😓. The food around here is also predominantly Middle Eastern style. My son found a Japanese restaurant about 1.6 miles away, which was pretty good, just a bit of a walk. At breakfast, we ran into a group of Chinese middle school students on a study tour from Xi'an, which was quite interesting. The location is close to Eton College and Windsor Castle. Windsor Castle is definitely worth a visit.
I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Anne’s Manor and was impressed by its charm and setting. The hotel is nestled in a peaceful, green environment, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The location is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions, yet it feels wonderfully secluded.
The property is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, with outstanding service from the staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Facilities are top-notch, adding to the overall comfort of the stay.
The only drawback was that a few rooms, including mine, did not have air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable during warmer days. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall experience.
If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay surrounded by greenery, with great service and amenities, this hotel is an excellent choice.
Probably the best hotel we have stayed in working away every weekend and we stay in a leisure hotel every weekend, all brand new, jacuzzi was unreal, steam room could have been hotter, sauna was 100c which was lovely, never seen one that hot, room had air con, buffet breakfast was beautiful, very clean hotel.

OOllieSFirst receptionist we dealt with was really nice but then she had to ask a colleague for help with our check in and she was extremely rude. Having booked an executive room, we were told we didnt get access to the executive lounge as hadn't booked direct. Load of rubbish. Went to our room, quick call to Hilton Customer Care and they confirmed we did have executive lounge access so went back to reception.
The hotel is really comfortable, big spacious rooms, nice beds, bathrooms with shower and bath. Water wasn't free even in executive rooms which was a bit of a shock (£2.50 a bottle).
Executive lounge was nice but service much cut back from last time I stayed at few years ago. Fridges empty most of the day, snacks not topped up. Dirty cups everywhere etc. Evening snacks was good but again, reduced compared to what they used to offer. Spirits and prosecco was a nice touch though.
Breakfast served in the restaurant for executive room guests. Really nice selection, mostly buffet but eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Nice coffee.
Staff on the whole are really friendly and welcoming (apart from the receptionist on day one). We had 3 nights here and enjoyed it.
There is a shuttle bus from terminal 5 to the hotel door which is £6.80 per person or you can take bus number 5 which stops on the road outside the hotel for £1.50. If staying more than one night, there is buses to Windsor, legoland, Slough and hounslow (for the tube to central london).
GGo MissPriddyIt was a nice comfortable room and stay. Cost effective with breakfast.
Systems were down so checking was delayed and held us up. Room was too far for my sister to walk as she suffered with a leg injury and found it difficult to walk to and from the room. Accessibility was not considered despite noting it on the booking so she couldn't have the desired shower room as expected. Could be because of the system issue. The room was spacious and nice, hall a little bland, hall carpet a little tarnished possibly due to footballers and co footfall as it's connected to the stadium so perfect for footballers and families at match time. Entrance clean and inviting. There are 2 floors ,no lift so this must be considered if you cannot walk far. Lobby and breakfast hall was clean, and buffet breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly. FYi- my uncle received complimentary benefits for the long check in issues and delays. My sister and I didn't although it would have been nice too, since we waited long also. Overall it was nice but and I would stay again.

GGuest UserLocation- was walkable from station, town centre, Oracle shopping centre which has Vue and Bowling
Service- Staff were very friendly. Toni, Nicola, Daniel- were fab. They helped me store my special medication.
They have facility for keeping luggage after checkout which was very helpful
Amenities- Swimming pool, steam, sauna, gym onsite with full access with room booking. Towels available at no extra cost at the facilities. The showers were broken/ no hot water. So we used room showers for bath after using the these services.
Room- was beautiful and clean with lovely large screen smart tele. There was a locker and small mini fridge in the room with tea/coffe bar, iron with iron board, hair dryer. They also provide tap water from front desk for tea etc. There was a bath and shower both! The toilet and bath did not have locks- but I was in with my kids- so worked fine. One bedside light switch was broken- but didn’t need to use this. The room temp was rather warm- front seat kindly lent us a big table fan- which was very helpful.
They have bar and restaurant- we didn’t need to use these. The
