Oddfellows Chester Hotel & Apartments

Checking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance! Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay.
Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel

For the most part, this is a lovely hotel. It cost us around £7 for a taxi into Chester and the rooms are clean. The majority of staff are incredibly friendly. However, while out during the day our keys were deactivated to force us to the reception so that the manager could corner me about where my car was parked - which had been mentioned to another member of staff during check in and they had said it wasn't a problem. She had been trying to call me on the hotel room phone ”all day”, which is a ridiculous approach as who sits in their room all day? If she had just called me on my mobile number, which was used to book the room, I would have happily come back and moved the car. She demanded I move it in that moment and I explained that I'd had a drink but I'd move it in the morning. She then said she would move my car, which I wasn't comfortable with. She then walked away from me and wouldn't allow a rational, adult conversation. The tone and attitude were accusatory and her frustration clearly misdirected when she has made no realistic efforts to contact me; we were in the hotel until 11am and, as I said, I had my phone with me all day. I tried to explain to the reception staff why my car was where it was, and that I had discussed it on a rival and was dismissed with a ”well I wasn't there so I wouldn't know” then she smirked at another guest. It's such a shame that has really put a dampner on the stay for us, as it was totally unnecessary.

Very friendly staff and owner and there daughter and son . This was our 4 visit. On this occasion stayed in room 4 . Room clean .Nice spacious room ,decoration a bit dated. Bathroom very clean. The only thing I noticed was the bathroom ceiling over the bath . As I was in the bath .it looked like there was a leak or had been a leak. Stained watermarks .above. Stayed evening meal .OK first night a bit basic. Second and third night 100% better .I believe the chef was on holiday and he came back . Portions not big either. But the prawn cocktail and soup was amazing and fresh. The meat of the day was again. Pork ,came in chop form which I didn't really like . But it tasted better than it looked. Would have been 100% better with more than a few potatoes and a lot more veg .even for 1 person not enough. And missing Yorkshire pud. However it was nice and tasted good . . Pudding was amazing tho 😋 hoping the chef is back the next time we visit. And bigger Portions please . Hoping 2024 .they might do some updates of the decoration in restaurant and rooms .cause it definitely is a place to visit, especially for 100 % customer service x

We got this on a deal so it was reduced slightly from £246 to £232.70 (two people in separate rooms for three nights), but even the full price would have been great value. Spacious, really comfortable beds, great range of TV channels, great location. Pretty much everything you could ask for. The only minor issue is that my mother's room got too warm at night. But in fairness, a fan was provided and she used this to help cool it down before going to bed.

I came to visit family in Chester and chose this hotel as it was close to the train station and a nice walk into Chester. I love the modern look of this hotel, the under bed auto light was brilliant for night time bath room trip no need to turn on the lights. The black out curtains do there job really well I almost over slept, the staff were very helpful when i asked them for help. i will stay here again next time i visit the family
Chester Station Hotel

A cost-effective hotel, a long time, older equipment, the need for skills to close the window. The heating is very good and very comfortable. The bed is big enough to let me roll and sleep. Breakfast is a typical English breakfast, although it is not comparable to the domestic, it is very rich in the UK. The only problem is the deposited food, deposited on Friday, we said to take it on Sunday night (more than two days), they threw it... a big bag of delicious... I don’t know what to follow
