Three trips to the country have stayed in Cappadocia for about 20 days. Cappadocia is composed of many towns besides Nevsehir and Kayseri. The town of Goreme is in China. Most famous but compared to Goreme's over-commercialization, I prefer this town to Otahesa orthahisar. This is a small town free traveler who also chooses less here but perhaps officially retains more of the country's cultural hotel. 3 minutes walk from the town center supermarket cafe attractions museum, even if you want to go to Goreme restaurant, there is a minibus 6 lira can take a taxi 30 lira hotel is very comfortable and style is more characteristic than other cave hotels, the cave hotel is most afraid There is no elevator and this hotel is one of the few breakfasts provided. Hotel looks gorgeous from outside. Scenic hotel with exclusive rooms. Unfortunately, when things go wrong, it’s very wrong. Firstly, I could not get into the room, key was faulty, complained 4 times and went down to the reception too. At last got into the room but I had to climb a flights of stairs for 4 rounds just to get this fixed! Second day of staying, nobody came to clean the room, met the housekeeping and they say will come as soon as possible and guess what, nobody came as well. Their staff barely understand English and we have to use translator. Breakfast and dinner has very limited choice, as I remember it’s only around 5-6 hot dishes which are cold. My room was just a normal room, not much like a cave hotel but other rooms were really nice. Probably not too 5 star stay with 5 star views.

The hotel was not built on the cave, its “cave looking” hotel. The atmosphere was rustic and charming, the view from the terrace was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the internet was fast. The breakfast was amazing, freshly made for us each day and their cats were super cute! In terms of our room: the bed was big and comfy; the room was warm with a good heating system. It was charmingly designed with a cave-hole-sofa area and a shower area that looked like they had been carved out of the wall. But it wasn’t always practical - for instance it is an open-plan design so the toilet is part of the main living area with no door to separate it. One of us had to go out the room when we needed a toilet. Luckily there was a communal toilet in the communal area but it was cold! Downsides: 1. The village of Ortahisar is quite remote and a little limited for restaurants 2. Like many buildings in the area the hotel have a fire and chimney. Although the chimney was high and in the courtyard area, some of the smoke smelled toxic and we didn’t feel comfortable. 3. The drain in the shower seemed to be blocked and took ages to empty, the shower water wasn’t always super hot, one of the shower fixings was broken. It was a lovely hotel but the open plan bathroom made my stay difficult.

Stayed two nights and were made very welcome by staff. They organised transfers and saved us money as well as personalised tours to see all the areas many highlights. It is luxurious accommodation at a budget price. Selma and her staff ensure your every need is met.
