GGuest UserAdvantages:
1️⃣ Disposable bedding is provided, one sheet per guest. The environment and decor are nice, the room has no odor, and it's very quiet at night. There are charging stations and dining areas in the common areas. Air conditioning is unlimited and can be used freely in the common areas. The owner is gentle and easy to communicate with.
2️⃣ Two restaurants are located across the street, offering noodles, hot pot, and milk tea, making life very convenient. Prices are reasonable. The subway is within 500 meters, a transfer station, very convenient, with direct access to the North Station. It's not noisy at night, quiet on the mountain, and the view from the room is great. There are entertainment venues, bookstores, bars (like the one called ”Cosmic Editorial Department”), and another guesthouse nearby, all with a youthful decor. The living experience and daily functions are well-balanced.
3️⃣ The price is quite cheap, and they even provide disposable toothbrushes and tissues (large pack), toiletries, a washing machine, laundry detergent, and a hairdryer. There's a clothes rack, and the slippers provided are soft and comfortable.
Disadvantages:
1️⃣ The toilet is a bit small; it's not spacious enough to stretch out in the shower and it gets a bit hot. The disposable sheets and blankets are a bit stuffy and not breathable; it's hot under the covers but cold under them. There are no handrails for getting on and off the upper bunk, making it slightly inconvenient. The indoor clothes rack is a bit short and not enough to hang clothes properly; it would be better if it were longer or if an extra wire could be added.
2️⃣ There are many stairs to climb to get to the hostel, which is really inconvenient for people with suitcases (not just the one in my picture, there are four shorter sections). Don't bring too much luggage.
Overall review: The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I really like this place and would recommend it to backpackers. I hope it stays open for a long time. It would be even better if it could organize some activities, set up display boards for leaving messages or a photo wall, provide some travel guides and routes, create a group chat for communication, and promote the hostel culture. I hope this place is still open when I come to Chongqing again.
