GGuest UserThe room is very close to the subway station, right outside the exit. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was spotless. The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even when our train arrived very early in the morning. Nearby, there are traditional hot pot restaurants and various local snacks, all delicious and affordable. We truly experienced the warmth and hospitality of Chongqing people. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Chongqing.

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

MMiyafalifaI recently had the pleasure of staying at IMAX Cinema Hotel at Weidianyuan station, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel surpassed all my expectations with its impeccable cleanliness and impressive tidiness.
One of the standout features of the hotel was the exceptional movie-watching experience it offered. The state-of-the-art IMAX Cinema within the hotel premises allowed me to enjoy the latest blockbuster films in stunning clarity and surround sound. It was like having a private cinema right at my fingertips. The comfortable seating and top-notch audio-visual quality made every movie viewing a memorable one.
But IMAX Cinema Hotel had even more to offer. The hotel also provided an exquisite selection of music, creating a wonderful ambiance throughout the property. GGuest UserEasily the best hostel I've ever been to. What made it my favorite is the common areas with wonderful vibes, the complete set of amenities, and the incredible hosts. My favorite room is the main cafe area on the top floor, where there is always bread and tea available, I went to the supermarket nearby and bought some jam and peanut butter so I could make a quick sandwich whenever I wanted, and it was *incredible*. The host and hostess have so many resources for things to do in Chongqing, and you can ask them anything you want - they're very good at English and give you a whole tour of their guidebook they've made for all the things there when you first check in. There's a balcony on the second floor, the cafe area on the third floor, and the rooftop patio, so I found there to be a really nice variety of places to hang out in especially if I needed a quiet place to take a call and the other areas were busy. All of them are super clean and comfortable, and in my three days there I met people from other parts of Asia, Europe, and the USA. French, German, Scotland, Malaysian, Chinese - you name it, there are a rotating cast of characters from all over and I really enjoyed it!
So, amenities wise here's what you've got that I found exceptional:
1. Showers - Plentiful, soap and shampoo provided, never ran out of hot water
2. Bathrooms - Plentiful western + asian toilets, *toilet paper provided*
3. Beds - cozy, each room has a window, area under the bed is good for storing stuff. Some people who aren't used to asian beds might find the mattress thin but I'm good with it.
4. BREAD AND TEA - Can't applaud this enough, they bake their own bread and have it available in the cafe area the whole time, they brew tea every morning, so peak.
5. Washer and *Dryer* - lots of places don't have dryer, this is super nice, it's about 10 元 to use and well worth it, definitely washed my clothes well.
6. Water - Clean water on tap, hot and cold, kettle also available if I remember correctly.
7. VIEW - The first floor is on the 31st floor, but the place goes up 3 more floors from there to the rooftop. Really cute sort of style to it with stairs between each floor. Each floor has an incredible view of the central area of Chongqing - Jiefangbei, and you can see the bridges plus WFC from there.
8. Company - The host and hostess are so lovely and helped me practice my Chinese, but they also speak great english. The other guests at the hostel also spoke plentiful english and many were fellow Westerners, so if you don't want to practice your Chinese you can chat with them too. It seems to attract a mixed bag of people from other asian countries to western countries, I personally hope I can practice more chinese next time 所以我可以好好学习天天向上！
9. Location - Right in the middle of Jiefangbei, next to Jiaochangkou subway, and plenty of restaurants.
10. Price - Very affordable, very worth it.
This is probably going to be my ”base” I return to every time i'm back in Chongqing from here on out! Thank you so much for having me!

From the moment I arrived, the staff give best instruction in wecht who demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and genuine hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and fast, allowing me to settle into my room without any delays after a long journey.
The hotel’s location is absolutely outstanding and incredibly convenient for travelers. In front of Metro.It is situated close to major attractions, shopping areas, restaurants, and public transportation, making it very easy to explore the city. The surrounding area is vibrant yet safe, offering stunning city views, especially at night when the skyline lights up beautifully. Whether you are visiting for leisure, family vacation, or business purposes, the location provides excellent accessibility.
The room exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that ensured a restful sleep every night. Cleanliness was impeccable — every corner of the room, including the bathroom, was spotless and well maintained. The housekeeping team did a remarkable job of keeping the room fresh, tidy, and well stocked with amenities throughout my stay.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the room. The large windows allowed natural light to fill the space during the day, while at night, the panoramic city view created a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere.
Safety and security at the hotel were also excellent. The hotel maintained strong security measures, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay. This is especially important for travelers visiting the city for the first time.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse has a dedicated butler who provides excellent service. They are very responsive to any issues, even replying and resolving problems in the early hours of the morning. From downstairs, you can directly see the Qianximen Bridge, the confluence of the two rivers, and the Grand Theater – the night view is stunning. You can even catch drone performances from the room, making for fantastic photo opportunities. Hongyadong is right next door, just a few minutes' walk away, and the night view from there is also superb. The bathroom in the room has a separate wet and dry area, and the guesthouse provides a full set of disposable toiletries, which is a thoughtful touch. There's also a single bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak while enjoying the night views of Chongqing's two rivers – it's wonderful. The location is very convenient for transportation; the light rail station is only a few minutes away. The room is well-equipped with all necessary facilities. It's a great choice for travelers. I would definitely choose this guesthouse again for my next stay.

Any questions or issues were addressed promptly. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. The room was a loft style, offering good privacy and complete facilities. The overall decor was fresh and elegant, and it had a city view with an expansive vista. Most importantly, it was quiet, which is great for those who prioritize a good rest. The hotel is also very close to the hospital, so I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Fuenjiang Road Campus of the Second Affiliated Hospital.

GGuest UserBooked this hotel for the loft room type which has only 1 unit. Note that there are only 14 rooms across 2 floors located in a commercial building. Seems like it is very common in cq to have such hotels which are occupying floors in a building. The room has a great view of Jiefangbei and you can see the monument from the room. Pls note that the location of the room is just next to the entrance which i didn't like (personal preference) but it didn't affect me in terms of noise.
Smart system, tv projector
The room is using a smart system which you can control through voice. However this proved to be a problem for me instead as everytime I returned and put in the key card, the same settings operate e.g. music automatically plays and the announcement starts and I have to ask it to stop playing the music. The lighting is also preset with hindered the brightness of the projector. Note that there is no tv, only a projector with iqiyi inbuilt so there are no tv channels and most of the shows require a subscription to play. I wasn't able to adjust the lights according to what I want. So if I wanted a very clear resolution, I had to turn off all lights.
Bathroom
The toilet seat was automatic with bidet. As it is automated, you have to press a button to open the seat cover everytime you want to use. If you use the disposable seat cover, it cannot detect you and halfway using the toilet, the seat keeps coming down to close as it closes automatically. The position of the handheld shower is also very low. I'm 1.68m tall which was the perfect height but anyone taller will hit the shower. One very important point to note is also that the hotel only uses disposable towels to my dismay. They do not have regular towels. If I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in cq. There are also no hooks in the bathroom and the sink is outside the bathroom.
During my stay it rained a bit so the area just beside the bed had a pool of water which likely came from a leak in the building. For this room, the electronic curtains were also unable to cover the room totally due to the stairs going up to the bed.
Aircon
Due to the size of the room, I felt that the ac wasn't strong enough to cool the room totally.
In conclusion, the hotel has a great location and good service but if I had known the above, I would hv chosen another regular hotel with tv, regular towels etc. I wanted to check out after 1 night but didn't as it was just simply too troublesome and my booking was non refundable.

GGuest UserHotel place is good like if u go out for eating there will be everything outside of this hotel and also has so many famous cafes. From the balcony view is also good. And this room is good for 2 people.
If u wanna have some housekeeping u should tell front desk before 2pm. Also check in was so easy u just add them on wechat then u will get self check in.
But hot water is little bit problematic u should take shower in 10mins otherwise hot water will gone. Also bathroom door is not for girls. If u close this door u can’t open it. Everytime my boyfriend come to me and open this door.

SSugata AhadThe room was exceptionally good. We forgot our keys twice and once at 3 AM, but still happily opened the door for us.  really appreciate the receptionist for helping us out. Apart from that the view was extremely good as well. The hotel is located at the very center and all the good restaurants are within walking distance.  some very famous restaurants are also their right across the streets. I have no idea how at this budget. They gave such a good room with such a good location.
