Great location and living space. The location was central to all tourist spots and was just quiet enough to hail ride-share services without it being stressful. We shared a two-bedroom suite for 4 people and there was plenty of private space and sharing space. The hotel would always check in with us to see what we needed, gave us food recommendations, and warned us about tourist traps and scams. The living space was very home-y and comfy, so it was always nice to come back to that after a day of exploration. Highly recommend!

Staying here felt like being welcomed into the home of a deeply cultured family. The décor is a beautiful, personal curation: art and personal book collection, vintage porcelain, silk cushions, and carefully chosen artworks. Nothing feels excessive or staged. Every object has intention behind it — a celadon vase here, a bronze figurine there — and yet the overall feeling is one of warmth and ease, not a museum. The rooms are serene, the linens impeccable, and the little touches — embroidered pillow slips, a hand-painted watercolour above the bed — speak of a host who genuinely cares. The lady boss is a gracious and soft spoken lady. She offers just the right amount of company and showed us the warmth of Gongtan residents through her actions and food. This is not just a place to sleep. It is a place that stays with you.

The room is very close to the subway station, right outside the exit. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was spotless. The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even when our train arrived very early in the morning. Nearby, there are traditional hot pot restaurants and various local snacks, all delicious and affordable. We truly experienced the warmth and hospitality of Chongqing people. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Chongqing.

This hotel is nestled in the heart of Xiahaoli, a beautifully renovated century-old Western-style building. During the jacaranda season, I silently wished on my way there, and incredibly, I was assigned a room with views of both the blooming flowers and the river! It perfectly captured the民國 (Republic of China) era aesthetic I love. The staff were also incredibly friendly, and they even have adorable pets named Laikai and Caicai. The afternoon tea pastries and sparkling juice were absolutely fantastic. On one side, you have the high-rise river views, and on the other, the stilt houses nestled under hundred-year-old banyan trees – a seamless blend of old and new. This is Xiahaoli. There are also some charming independent shops here; I even picked up a tea set and some delicious local food.

Great location, dinner was good, but let down by malfunctioning hot water in the shower in 2 or the 3 rooms we booked.  We had only ice cold water from the shower. Thankfully it was rectified. In one of our rooms (2005) the shower stall glass sliding door had come off the rails, and could East have fallen on guests, causing serious injury from the weight of the door and broken glass. The check-in staff was very helpful, but the staff at breakfast on 6 Jan was quite unhelpful, and in fact started to argue about the prior breakfast arrangement our tour guide made with the hotel the previous day. Rather than saying she didn’t know and would check, she unilaterally decided the options were wanted (and had prepared the hotel for through our guide’s arrangements the previous day) were not available.

The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting. The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me. The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever. Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure. While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort. In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive cultural experience, this resort delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend.

This is my second visit to Chongqing, and I chose the InterContinental Raffles City again, mainly because I craved this view. My room was on the 50th floor, and as soon as the automatic blinds opened, the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers converged beneath my feet, with Hongyadong and Qiansimen Bridge framed perfectly! This image will stay with me for a long time! I also recommend a dip in the heated infinity pool on the 43rd floor, which overlooks the Yangtze River; swimming with the skyline view truly feels like floating. **Location & View:** Raffles City Tower 4N, with that 'cloud-top' feeling from floors 44-65. The Sky Lobby on the 42nd floor is a tourist attraction in itself, with greenery and a curved front desk mirroring the river, and the skybridge offers 360° views of the mountain city. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the river-view rooms directly face the confluence of the two rivers. You can watch boats during the day, and at night, see Hongyadong lit up and the traffic flowing across Qiansimen Bridge. Taking a bath in the tub facing the window makes this Chongqing trip half worth it already. **Service:** This needs a separate mention. Two afternoons before check-in, I received a call from the concierge department, asking about my check-in requirements and details. They asked if I was driving and if I needed a video of the underground parking route (they actually sent a super detailed one later!). If you're traveling with children, they even proactively asked if we needed kids' slippers and toiletries. The Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offers enough to eat, and the Chongqing noodles at breakfast are freshly made to order. Downstairs, you have Chaotianmen Metro Station and Hongyadong within walking distance, which is very convenient for those who prefer not to walk far. This is a landmark hotel in Chongqing, definitely worth it for both the view and the service. I highly recommend Shua Bar! Their seasonal cocktails are super delicious and unique! And, to top it off, they even gave me a small souvenir gift when I checked out! I plan to stay at InterContinental again on my next trip to Chongqing.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout. Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair. Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

My family and I were very satisfied with the rooms we booked. We thought it was very cost-effective and we had a lot of fun. The location was easy to find, parking was convenient, and the hotel was very welcoming. We were very satisfied.

I originally booked this hotel for three nights in Chongqing, assuming a 5-diamond hotel would guarantee quality. Unfortunately, I checked out after just one night. First, for the positives: the high floor offers absolutely first-class views. If you're only staying for one night, it's definitely worth considering. The room is very large and spacious. As for the location, getting a taxi in China is incredibly convenient, so location isn't a huge concern. It's a moderate distance from Hongyadong, not too close, but still walkable. There are also many restaurants right outside the hotel in Chongqing. I discussed the hygiene issues with the hotel, and their attitude was very sincere. Cleaning staff work hard, so I hope there will be real improvements. The biggest problem, however, is the facilities. The bed quality is very mediocre. It's not just that it's soft; the springs are far too noticeable. When someone next to you turns over, the bed continues to shake. The bed itself is very light and moves easily. There seems to be a gap under the floor, and if you're not careful, footsteps can be very loud and thumping. Families with children should definitely be aware of this. The toilet is very basic, not smart. For a 5-diamond hotel, this is a bit low-end. In Chongqing, unless you absolutely don't eat spicy food, not having a smart toilet can really impact your travel experience. The bathroom decor also looks quite ordinary. Upon entering, there's no standard place to put shoes or luggage. The air conditioning is extremely noisy even on a low fan setting. We finally figured out in the middle of the night that it only quieted down if we set the target temperature to match the current room temperature. Like the Pagoda Hotel we stayed at in Chengdu, there was no safe.
