Absolutely fantastic stay! The location couldn't be better – right in the heart of everything, yet surprisingly quiet. Walking distance to all the main attractions, cafes, and public transport. The apartment itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Check-in was smooth and the host was very responsive. Highly recommend – great value for money and we would definitely book again!

The owner is very warm and thoughtful, and the room is clean and tidy. (The picture was taken after we stayed, so it's a bit messy.) It has all the necessary appliances, including a fridge and a washing machine. The room is spacious, and the beds are also large, perfect for a family of six. We had a great experience! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The environment is clean, tidy and beautiful, with a view at every step. It is a very distinctive homestay that is carefully built. The housekeeper has a good service attitude. He contacted me in advance before I checked in, and all the requests were met wholeheartedly. It was a great stay experience. Each room type has its own characteristics. I will try another room type if I have the chance.

Returning from our cruise, we seamlessly continued our trip in Chongqing. Our family of six booked two adjoining two-bedroom suites at the Shanqi Hotel for five nights, and our stay was incredibly satisfying – definitely a five-star review! 📍Location The location is impeccable. It's within walking distance of Jiefangbei, and downstairs there's a dazzling array of restaurants and snacks. Right across the street is the Air-raid Shelter Hotpot, and there are dozens of massage and spa places nearby, making dining and shopping extremely convenient. Calling a business car at the entrance is also super easy; one arrives within a minute. For larger groups, the 831 bus stop is right across the street, taking you directly to Chaotianmen in just two stops, making group travel stress-free. 🛏️Room Facilities The hotel has the feel of an old five-star establishment, with a stylish overall ambiance. The projector and large screen are great for watching movies and playing games. The room's view exceeded our expectations; the large floor-to-ceiling windows are definitely a highlight, offering beautiful city views on one side and river views on the other – stunning! Enjoying a cup of tea by the window at night, soaking in Chongqing's beauty, was wonderful. The space is spacious and even comes with a washing machine, which perfectly meets the needs of family travel, especially for families like ours who need to do laundry mid-trip. The bath towels and towels are of excellent quality, showing great attention to detail, and the living experience was superb. 🍳Breakfast The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety of options, both Chinese and Western, which was very practical for our family, including elderly and young members. 💁Service The front desk and the personal butler service were exceptionally attentive. Requests were usually answered instantly, and they were always ready to help. All staff members were warm and friendly. Housekeeping changed the floor mats and bath towels daily and warmly asked if we were enjoying our trip. Food deliveries were personally brought to our room by the butler and the front desk staff – very thoughtful! A small suggestion for the hotel would be to add delivery robots to ease the burden on the staff. Overall, the environment, service, and amenities were all top-notch. Our family felt comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Jiefangbei, and I sincerely recommend it to friends traveling to Chongqing!

This guesthouse has a great foundation; it's a genuine century-old Republican-era house (officially recognized as an immovable historical cultural relic). The interior design is thoughtfully done! The bedding and overall use of space are excellent 😊. I have a few suggestions: 1. It would be helpful to explain the differences and highlights between the original architecture and the current renovations. 2. A movable privacy screen should be installed between the washing area and the bed, to ensure privacy when washing, using the toilet, or soaking in the tub. 3. Breakfast is a weak point. While it's clear effort was made, the options are limited, and there are no Western choices.

🏮Located inside a renovated church down a long winding stair alley, this hotel was the definition of a hidden gem. If you didn’t know it existed, you definitely wouldn’t know it was there. The rooms were extremely spacious, with high ceilings, beautifully considered decor, and refined aesthetics. I’d say the rooms were way better than the pictures. ⛪️✨ 📸 The hotel offers a free travel photography service. You can have your hair/makeup/outfit done professionally for an additional charge but we wore our own stuff. Zihao (子豪) came to take photos of us on our second day and they turned out absolutely stunning!! The entire process took about an hour and he was incredibly professional, kind, and funny; and took the time to work with us through the language barrier using a translator app on his phone. You get a certain number of free photos, but we ended up buying almost the entire photo set with minimal editing from him because they turned out so good. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip. I will treasure the photos he took of my mom forever. 🍴 Breakfast is included and there’s a full service bar for guests where you can get free soft drinks and freshly cut fruit throughout the day. The hotel will also deliver a soup to your room in the evening (called night service? I think?) and it was really delicious. I have no photos of that because we ate it too fast. 😋 🧳 📝 The entrance of the hotel is a bit of a far- the nearest car drop-off point is Lingshi Alley No.8, Yuzhong Chongqing, and from there, you have to walk 3-4 flights of stairs down an alley to get to the entrance of the church. The hotel will message you ahead to help you with your luggage (and they’re extremely nice! Two of the staff helped us get our suitcases to our car at 5am when we had to leave very early 😵💫) but if you have any accessibility needs or difficulties walking up and down stairs, or just have a ton of luggage, this might not be the hotel for you 🚙😥 🌸 Overall, stunning hotel & amazing staff who you can message anytime on WeChat if you need anything. It feels like quiet escape in the middle of a super bustling crazy city. I would come back 100% if I was in Chongqing again. Thank you for everything!

Upon arrival, you're greeted by a tranquil courtyard surrounded by lush mountains and clear waters. The fresh air carries a faint scent of flowers and earth. The guesthouse features a modern minimalist design, with wooden pavilions and intricately carved window frames; every detail showcases the unique charm of the local culture. In terms of service, the staff are warm and attentive, from the thoughtful check-in guidance to meticulously planning sightseeing routes for guests, reflecting their genuine care. Here, you can savor authentic Bayu cuisine and experience a home-like warmth. In the morning, as the first rays of sunlight hit your window, you can stroll through the forest and embrace nature's bounty. After nightfall, the guesthouse glows with warm lights, reflecting the starry sky, making you feel as if you're in a dreamland. Every moment at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay is a wonderful encounter with nature and culture, leaving you lingering and looking forward to your next visit.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout. Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair. Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station. Our room was spotless, and the staff, especially the ladies at the front desk, were so kind and patient. You can walk to Jiefangbei in just ten minutes, and the Cloud Eye observation deck and Yangtze River Cableway are right nearby too. Plus, the room offered an absolutely amazing view for night photography!

The hotel room is nice, the toilet is super big, the staff is very enthusiastic, the heating in the room is a little poor, the air conditioner is a little loud, but the heating is not very sufficient, but there is an electric blanket, so it won't be cold when sleeping.
