GGuest UserThe room was a bit smaller than expected, but everything else was great. The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of food options nearby. The room facilities and design were very good, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. I even extended my stay for another day! The front desk staff were very attentive, and the noodles and wontons prepared by the auntie at the breakfast buffet were delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay! I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

HhrchenBoth hotels I stayed at during my Chongqing trip were HUAZHU City Comfort Inn properties. City Comfort Inn seems to be a mid-to-high-end brand that really understands what Chinese travelers look for. The complimentary breakfast and laundry room were fantastic, offering incredible value for money. The front desk and concierge service were also excellent, very friendly and thoughtful, though I didn't catch their names. The location is also great; it's perfect for travelers who prefer a quieter area away from the crowds, and taxis are inexpensive in Chongqing. Overall, if they keep this up, their value for money could even surpass international five-star hotel chains.

What truly impressed and won me over was the Regent Hotel's meticulous and thoughtful service, easily making it the benchmark for high-end hotel service in Chongqing. From the moment I arrived for check-in, the staff were professional, gentle, and impeccably polite. The doorman warmly greeted me, assisted with parking and luggage, and handled everything with gracious humility. The front desk check-in process was efficient and quick, with staff patiently explaining hotel facilities, guest benefits, and local sightseeing tips. The communication felt natural and comfortable. Throughout my stay, the entire team maintained a high standard of service, responding promptly and thoroughly. Room cleaning was meticulous and attentive, with amenities, mini-bar drinks, and local snacks replenished daily. The room was spotless, tidy, and pleasantly fragrant. All requests were handled quickly and appropriately, with attentive service that wasn't intrusive, perfectly embodying the quality of a top-tier luxury hotel. I felt completely at ease and comfortable the entire time.
My executive room had an exceptional overall feel, with an open and airy layout and a spacious ambiance. The decor blended elegant Chinese aesthetics with modern minimalist luxury design, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The layout was well-designed, and the soft furnishings were exquisite. The warm lighting created a soothing ambiance. The room's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring quiet and privacy, leading to superb rest. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered unrivaled views of the confluence of the two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula cityscape. Whether relaxing or soaking in the tub, I could enjoy the riverside view, immersing myself in the mountainous city's scenery. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom featured a dry/wet separation, and premium toiletries were well-stocked. The executive room's exclusive mini-bar was refreshed daily with complimentary drinks and snacks. Various thoughtful daily essentials were perfectly provided, with attention to every detail, making for a luxurious and pleasant living experience.
The dining experience was equally outstanding, with dishes that excelled in color, aroma, and taste, balancing both quality and flavor. The hotel offered a rich selection of meals, catering to both local Chongqing flavors and exquisite Western cuisine. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of fresh ingredients, including regular Western pastries, hot dishes, congee, and fresh fruit drinks, as well as authentic Chongqing noodles and pea and meat sauce noodles, full of local character. Executive room guests also enjoyed exclusive executive lounge benefits, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The food was exquisitely prepared and diverse, in a quiet, less crowded setting, offering greater privacy and a full sense of exclusive treatment. Additionally, the hotel's main dining options, specialty hotpot, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor are all worth experiencing. The ingredients are premium, and the cooking is done with care. The Two Rivers Bar boasts a prime view of the river at night, offering a double delight for both sight and taste with the evening breeze and delicious food.
The hotel's public facilities were comprehensive and well-maintained. The high-altitude heated swimming pool was quiet and uncrowded, allowing me to swim while enjoying river views. The gym had professional and well-equipped machinery to meet daily workout needs. The spa and relaxation areas were well-appointed, perfect for unwinding after a tiring journey. The public areas exuded elegant style, with a sophisticated fragrance, creating a tranquil and refined environment where every snapshot looked like a professional photograph.
Overall, my impression of the stay was that Regent Chongqing enjoys a prime location with unparalleled views of the two rivers, complemented by impeccable, thoughtful service, excellent dining, a high-quality executive room environment, and comprehensive facilities. Everything was executed to perfection. With the added executive privileges, the overall value for money and comfort were significantly enhanced, creating a tranquil and luxurious sanctuary in the bustling mountain city.
Next time I visit Chongqing, Regent Chongqing will still be my top choice, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends traveling or vacationing in Chongqing. It's truly worth revisiting.

He contacted me in advance before I checked in, and all the requests were met wholeheartedly. It was a great stay experience. Each room type has its own characteristics. XXiatiandeyuanxingHoping to return, and I did, just before Christmas. Christmas decorations were everywhere. The day before check-in, the hotel proactively contacted me and upgraded my room, putting me back in the very same room I had on my first visit. Eight windows, each offering a unique view, yet all showcasing the authentic charm of the mountain city. No need for elaborate poses or photo editing to capture perfect pictures. The lamb and 'lion's head' meatballs, along with the osmanthus tangyuan at White Cliff Restaurant, made Winter Solstice feel timeless and enduring.

LLvxingzheMarsI had a very comfortable stay at the InterContinental Raffles City Chongqing. The hotel lobby offers a breathtaking panoramic view, overlooking the main city of Chongqing and the confluence of the two rivers from a high vantage point – truly spectacular! The day before my arrival, the hotel proactively called to inquire about my arrival time and any specific needs. As an InterContinental Ambassador, they kindly upgraded my room and provided a complimentary breakfast. During check-in, the front desk staff was professional and efficient, and even offered me some complimentary Chongqing-specialty snacks made by the hotel.
While the room wasn't particularly spacious, the amenities were well-maintained, and the view from the window was still magnificent. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Chaotianmen Square and the pier, and it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining at Raffles City Mall. It's also not far from the subway station, making public transport very accessible. The only slight inconvenience was needing to take two different elevators to pick up food deliveries, which added about 5-10 minutes to the round trip, including waiting for the elevators. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, excellent in every detail and experience.

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

GGuest UserOpt for the standard room, the twin room even has a two-seater sofa, offering great value for money at 250 yuan right in the city center. The front desk is on the 15th floor and boasts an open-air glass viewing platform. When taking photos, there's no glass barrier, allowing for clear, unobstructed 180-degree views (Pictures 1-6). Directly across the road is Hongyadong (Pictures 10-12). A short walk will take you to the Qianximen Jialing River Bridge, where you can capture stunning views of Hongyadong and the riverfront (Pictures 7-8). The bathroom features a glass partition separating the toilet and shower, with the washbasin located near the entrance. This setup isn't ideal for changing clothes as there's no rack or shelf to place items; it would be much more convenient if the towel rack had two tiers. Soundproofing is decent, and even in April, the central air conditioning provided cool air (with daytime highs between 24-28 degrees Celsius) without being noisy. Jiefangbei is just a 600-meter walk away (Picture 13), and the Kuai Zi Lou (Chopsticks Building) is about 200 meters to the left when you exit (Picture 9). Due to the high number of guests staying on the upper floors, the elevators were often full. On my visit, one of the three elevators was out of service, leading to long wait times.

1. Hongyadong is just a 200-meter walk from the customer service desk on the hotel's first floor.
2. You can take the internal hotel elevator up to the 22nd floor, walk through Kuaixinglou, and reach Jiefangbei within 500 meters.
3. Taxis are easy to get, and the Line 2 monorail station is also within walking distance.
The front desk staff were very friendly and happy to answer our questions about tourist attractions. They also provided a tourist map and a food guide, which was very helpful.
We booked an AI-smart room. Upon entering, 'Xiaodu' (the smart assistant) greeted us, provided daily weather forecasts, and could adjust the air conditioning, open/close the curtains, and control the lights. We could even scan a QR code for a robot to deliver bottled water, and request more if needed – it was amazing! My son also fell in love with Xiaodu, interacting with it every day and even playing songs for me.
Furthermore, from 8 PM to 10:21 PM every night, there's a free dessert soup served in the sky lobby. You can enjoy the dessert while admiring the beautiful city views – so thoughtful!
I will definitely book this hotel again the next time I visit Chongqing.
