I never expected to find such a warm and inviting hotel hidden away in Ciqikou Ancient Town.
Traveling with kids, finding the right room type is always a headache, but the family room we booked this time was perfect – the beds were big enough, the space was generous, and my child didn't want to get out of the bathtub. Even better, you can take a taxi directly to the main entrance, and there's an underground parking lot too. It's so convenient, it hardly feels like you're in an ancient town.
In the center of the courtyard is a pavilion, surrounded by small stools. When the fire was lit, a singer played guitar in the pavilion. I sat by the fire with a craft beer in hand, feeling the warmth on my face, and my mind just emptied – I wasn't thinking about anything, just the crackling of the firewood. In that moment, it felt like I was sitting in an old courtyard deep in the mountains, where time slowed down enough to hear my own heartbeat. Xiao Qing and Xiao Tuo at the front desk were also very attentive, reminding us about the fire and singing in the evening when we checked in.
The hotel is called 'Yueyin Chongqing Courtyard', and it's such a fitting name. It truly feels like a hidden courtyard in the city, full of life and human touch.
Next time I come to Chongqing, I'll probably detour here just for this fire again.

sandy_qiqiWhenever I go to Chongqing, I always visit Guanghuan Plaza, which reminded me of this hotel nearby. After checking in, all I can say is that I got a five-star hotel experience for less than 800 yuan. First, let's talk about the room layout: two 1.35-meter single beds can be combined to form a massive 2.7-meter double bed. This is perfect if you're staying with kids – plenty of space. The room also has a bathtub, and crucially, it came with disposable bathtub liners (I forget the exact term!). Plus, the children's amenities provided were really good quality, not just an afterthought. What's even more impressive is that they placed dental floss right on the vanity – all the little touches were delightful. The product manager truly deserves commendation. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing.
Oh, and the breakfast buffet was excellent too, with a wide variety of delicious food. What really blew me away was finding steamed red dates at a buffet for the first time – that's a treat I usually only get at home!

Guest UserAs a long-time Marriott loyalist, I have mixed feelings and want to give an objective review:
First, the pros:
1. Excellent service. The doormen downstairs were proactive, offering umbrellas, opening car doors, and helping with luggage! Because it was rainy and humid in Chongqing, customer service helped me choose a few rooms. They then brought me a dehumidifier and arranged for my bedding to be dried. This deserves praise. Service gets 5 stars.
2. The room is very spacious. It's rare to find such a large room at this price! Very suitable for families! You can cook, and there's a washer and dryer in the room, which is a huge convenience!
3. Overall clean and hygienic. Although the facilities are a bit old, the cleanliness standards are very high!
All the above positives come from the service team. Kudos to you!
Now for the cons - addressed to the management team:
1. On rainy days, the room had a musty smell. This smell made me seriously doubt this was a Marriott; even the hallway felt comfortable, but once inside the room, it was unbearable! I checked out after one night.
2. The bed pillows are too high! I didn't sleep well all night. I strongly recommend changing the pillows! Take a cue from Atour! The pillows were also damp and cold!
3. Given the rainy weather in Chongqing, although a dehumidifier was provided, its effect was indeed minimal. A portable blanket dryer should be prepared! [I've included a photo of it]
4. The shower in the bathroom is truly difficult to use! Not only is it easy to mistakenly turn to cold water, but after applying shower gel, it gets very slippery, and you simply can't turn the round faucet! I was just standing in the shower, frustrated! [You should try it yourselves]

Guest UserThis hotel offers exceptionally good service; it's clear the staff are well-trained and of high caliber. They even offered complimentary tremella soup upon check-in, and the in-room drinks are free. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The beef brisket and pea noodles were even better than what you'd find outside. My only minor confusion was why a Chongqing hotel's breakfast buffet included Chaoshan congee. The room hygiene was also top-notch, highly recommended!

I really need to vent about the service here.
First, the good points: The location, ambiance, design, decor, and breakfast were all excellent. It's a beautiful, centuries-old building, entered through a side door next to a church – truly a hidden gem in the city. Everything started off wonderfully.
Then, I was shocked by the service process. We had booked an activity and dinner a day in advance, but the staff member who was supposed to guide us the next day had no idea about it.
It was my birthday, and I had informed the hotel beforehand. I appreciate them offering a complimentary birthday cake. However, I watched the employee walk for several minutes in the rain without an umbrella, carrying the cake. This meant the cake was exposed to the rain for that entire time. When it arrived in the room, it looked exactly like the picture – soggy and ruined. What should have been a nice bonus turned into a rather disappointing birthday memory.
It feels like the staff training is only halfway done. They have all the right facilities, which makes the poor service even more regrettable.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout.
Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair.
Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

Anonymous UserChoosing the Four Points by Sheraton Chongqing was the best decision we made for our trip to Chongqing. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of the Jiefangbei central business district. Jiefangbei is literally downstairs, and Hongyadong is also very close, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable and soft bedding. The charming night view of the 'Mountain City' from our window was a delight, and I woke up feeling great every day.
But what truly prompted me to write this lengthy review was Ms. Anne, the duty manager. From the moment we checked in, Anne was incredibly patient and meticulous, deserving a five-star rating. She thoughtfully arranged a high-floor room for us, offering a superb view of Jiefangbei's nightscape right from the window. The hotel breakfast was also fantastic; the Chongqing noodles were authentic and delicious, and the handmade steamed dumplings with their secret spicy oil were incredibly satisfying.
The self-service laundry room was another convenient amenity. In a new city, encountering such warm and professional service from someone like Anne truly added a special touch to our trip. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Chongqing!

Guest UserChoosing the Westin Chongqing Jiefangbei for my trip was absolutely the best decision! I have to give it a huge five-star rating!
First off, the location is unbeatable. The hotel is right in the heart of the Jiefangbei central business district. It's just a few minutes' walk downstairs to Jiefangbei Monument and Bayi Delicious Street, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The nearby subway station also makes getting to various attractions incredibly easy.
Then there's the service, which was truly exceptional! The day before check-in, a staff member from the hotel's guest experience department proactively called me and then added me on WeChat. They sent detailed check-in instructions and various practical tips in advance, which made me feel completely at ease even before arriving. During my stay, any questions I had on WeChat were answered promptly, with a very quick response time. From the front desk to housekeeping, every employee was warm, attentive, professional, and efficient, truly making me feel at home!
The breakfast was another major highlight! The variety was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western delicacies, plus authentic local specialties like Chongqing noodles and spicy wontons. Every morning, I had a super satisfying meal!
Finally, the room was spotless and tidy, with extremely high hygiene standards. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the Westin's 'Heavenly Bed' was truly amazing to sleep on – I had a wonderful night's rest!
In summary, this stay was perfect, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chongqing. I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Chongqing!

Guest UserThe hotel front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. All the staff were very friendly. I stay at this hotel every time I visit Chongqing, and the breakfast, especially the Chongqing noodles, is a highlight. The noodles taste fantastic, and you can even adjust the spice level yourself – how can you visit Chongqing without trying its noodles? It's also very close to Guanyin Bridge and North Station, so the location is superb and very convenient for getting around. This will definitely be my go-to place every time I visit. The guest services were very enthusiastic, guiding us to the elevators and helping with our luggage. 333 – fantastic!

This Le Meridien stay completely exceeded my expectations. It's a five-star experience that offers incredible value for money. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, surrounded by shopping areas and chain restaurants, so getting around and finding food is a breeze. Suki at the front desk was very efficient and even proactively recommended great places to eat and visit – there's so much good food in Chongqing, I'm a big fan of 'feichangji' (a local chicken and intestine dish)!
The room was spotless and odor-free, with fluffy, soft bedding that let me fall asleep quickly. The soundproofing was excellent, so I wasn't disturbed by any hallway noise. The bathroom had a well-designed wet/dry separation, 24-hour hot water with stable pressure, and the complimentary toiletries were very pleasant to use. Overall, it was an experience beyond five stars. I'll definitely prioritize staying here next time I visit the city.
