My husband and I stayed in the Tamarind suite and it was an absolutely beautiful space. The property was gorgeous and we loved sitting on our balcony and watching the monkeys and peacocks. We really enjoyed the access to the beach property and appreciated the fact that the hotel arranged a tuk tuk to take us back and forth. The food was terrific and the service was second to none. Highly recommended!

Kahanda Kanda is so much more than a hotel. It is an experience that neither words nor photos can truly portray but once you have experienced it you will never forget it. I have been lucky enough to stay here many times because the beauty and tranquility of this unique place pulls me back time after time and it never disappoints, whichever lovely room you choose to stay in. Someone once said to me that buildings have a soul and KK has the most beautiful soul. The superlatives have all been said before so all I have to say is a huge thank you to George and all his incredible staff and if you want to experience magic, then come and experience it for yourself.

This is most exquisite and adorable hotel in all Sri Lanka. Nestled in the hills 15 mins up the hill from beaches and tourists, it is nestled up on hill in a tea plantation. Everything is picture perfect. Our room (peacock), one of 12 was enormous and beautifully put together. The food and staff were excellent in every way. This is not so much as a hotel, more an experience in pleasure.

Super gepflegtes Paradies inmitten eines wucherenden Dschugels. Der Besitzer, ein Designer, hat die wenigen Pavillons mit größter Sorgfalt und ästhetischem Verständnis individuell bis ins letzte Detail gestaltet. Der Aufenthalt, wenn auch hochpreisig, in jeder Minute ein Vergnügen. Wir hatten einen Pavillon mit eigenem Pool, der auch zur Vogeltränke seltener Vögel gerne genutzt wurde.

We stayed in Hibiscus. The room was stunning. Very detailed with lovely touches throughout. The bed was incredibly comfy. The swimming pool was an incredible spot to watch the peacocks in the trees & the sun set each evening. The staff couldn't do enough for us throughout. The entire stay was incredibly peaceful. Would love to return.

All staffs were so attentive and nice. We were spoilt by their generosity, attention and their willingness to provide to our requests. The villa that we stayed in - Kumbuk, is perfect for relaxing and privacy. Surrounded by greenery, you can hear the sounds of birds, peacocks and monkeys. The bed is of very good quality that we woke up everyday feeling refreshed. Their restaurant serves tasty food, we didn't mind ordering the same items multiple times. The Galle Fort is 20-25mins away by tuk-tuk. They provide free tuk-tuk ride to their sister hotel, KK Beach where you can enjoy the beach.

I'm sure our review will read the same as many before us, so it makes it difficult to expound on every aspect of our stay to make it stand out ! So, here it comes.....everything down to the tiniest detail, was a total delight thus making guests feel very special and valued. Decor,staff, gardens, pool, food, top quality of everything ! Going back home will feel very shabby indeed ! Loved our special cottage and pool and had to tear ourselves away. Thank you dear George . It was good to catch up too ! See you in SA !!@

I don’t think I can tell you enough how amazing this place is. Our beautiful bungalow (we had a sneaky look of some of the others, they’re all beautiful) was huge with an infinity pool over looking the pristine Sri Lankan jungle. We started our day with coffee sitting by our pool listening to the bird song and staring in wonder at the jungle wildlife around us, peacocks, parrots, monkeys, iguanas, mongoose, and tiny squirrels to mention a few. Every member of staff (there’s a lot) are so lovely; welcoming and genuinely proud of the hotel and of their island. The food is sublime and is either grown on the plantation or sourced locally. Breakfasts are huge (home made granola with buffalo curd & palm syrup, breads and cakes, jams and marmalades any type of eggs, fruit and even a traditional Sri Lankan curry breakfast). The 3 course dinners are so spectacular my husband is still going on about them. Honestly, don’t bother going off the plantation for dinner anywhere else. Owner George took the time, every morning to say hello & have a little chat. What a fantastic place you’ve made George, we’re home now and already trying to work out when we can come back.
