Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans ce charmant hôtel. Vinod le propriétaire nous nous accueille comme des invités, en nous racontant l’histoire de cette belle maison familiale vieille de 170 ans. Nichée dans un jardin luxuriant, c’est un point de départ rêvé pour partir se ballader le long de du fleuve et découvrir la vie locale.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus und insbesondere der Garten sind wunderschön. Die Umgebung ist durchzogen von Kanälen, die *** entlangspazieren oder mit einem Kanu befahren kann. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hat uns von der Vergangenheit des Anwesens erzählt. Auch mit Mückenschutz hat er uns ausgeholfen :-) Auch die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Een heerlijke ervaring bij de backwaters. Mooie locatie. Heel sereen en relaxed. Heerlijke home made diner. We hebben de massage gehad en in de ochtend yoga. Beiden zeer zeker aan te bevelen. Een aanrader. Eigenaren en werknemers zijn heel gastvrij en vriendelijk.

We stayed for two nights here. It’s a lovely location on the waterfront. We made the most of the facilities using the bikes before breakfast and also an afternoon Kayak ride through the canals with a guide. We also took the government ferry boat one morning up to the nearest small town. The staff at Emerald Isle are extremely professional and helpful. We enjoyed three meals at the homestead and they were well cooked and plentiful at a competitive price. They don’t mind you taking your own drinks and will chill for you. It’s a lovely place and gives you an opportunity to easily see the local life of the residents and workers around the backwaters.

An authentic property surrounded by friendly local people in the heart of the backwaters in Kerala. Various types of accommodation but the cottage is best. Typical local food but may not be to everyone’s taste but affordable. Property can suffer from a lack of hot water but not really an issue especially if staying a short period. Really helpful and friendly staff….our 2nd visit.

Beautiful place on the backwaters of Allepey. Great staff and friendly host. Food was delicious, rooms lovely and the beds were comfortable. The guesthouse is on 9 acres, with paddy fields in the back. Would definitely go back. You can also arrange to do activities such as kayaking or cycling via the host Vijo.

Absolut beautiful place! Old farmhouse, that is still owned by the family. The garden is stunning and they even have their own fish pond. The food is fresh delicious and homemade.I recommend to see the Backwaters by canoe and have a relaxing massage afterwards.

A wonderful homestay. We were made very welcome by the hosts. The room was lovely and the food excellent. Would definitely recommend the homestay for those wanting a relaxing stay by the backwaters. The host was happy to arrange additional activities for those wishing to explore the area. Tracy and Tim, England
