1 night birthday celebration. Ive been before, hubby not. As usual the venue is perfect. The views are perfect! Reception welcoming but I was passed on from 1 to the other which I dont like. Room os what expected, nothing wrong except when we finally retired which was just before midnight we realised the 1 foot of the bed was broken and gone...lol. We did mention it the next day to reception, no apology, just a giggle. We wanted to eat at Bistro but was apparently booked out for private function. And this after I was notified by reception via email that we could eat at either but I should book at Bistro.. anyway, Bistro's menu was served at main dining room and my, the food was excellent! Now, biggest complaint and I mention this as to help improvement. The barmen's service at Bistro is beyond bad and unprofessional. I asked for cocktails, was sent to another off the side bar where I was ignored. Went back to main bar where we were eventually assisted. Waited for more than half an hour. I eventually went to ask and was told I must go fetch it myself from the other bar where it has been standing for about 15 minutes. Next day lunch time I ordered a mojito and got brown "off' mint. I went to the bar to ask for a fresh one, bartender continued to fish the leaves out from the glass in front of me, luckily using tongs. I told him Id prefer a new one and he replied they have run out of mint and used the previous days'....got a 'new" drink with no mint but of course asked for payment first. That's not service.
