Hotels in Syntagma Square, Athens

Lovely apartment with ample space in both the living room and bedroom in a great location. Good contact with the staff who were very attentive to out needs. Also only a 15 minute walk to Monastraki Square and incredibly close to Syntagma square.

Hotel is a bit dated but still very clean and tidy, the only issue i had was the air conditioner, which you cant control temperature from your room and you have to call the reception to change the temperature that doesn’t stay at your chosen temperature, always jumping back to 20C. I don’t understand the reason for this silly design. For one night i had to call reception several times to change the temperature in my room.

First of all, the location of the apartment belongs to the prime location of Syntagma Square. You can get there directly by x95 from Athens Airport, but it is really, really hard to find. I asked several locals, including the police, but they couldn't make it clear. The two dragged the big box around several times, but one could only stay where the box was while the other searched for it. They found it in an obscure corner. One word was difficult, two words were difficult, and three words were difficult. Words are very difficult. There are no obvious road names and no obvious signs. Let’s talk about accommodation. The old-fashioned semi-automatic elevator has a low safety factor. I have seen this elevator before, and the elevator with a history of more than 100 years in Shanghai Peace Hotel is nothing! The hotel has no reception! ! ! It was only when I happened to meet the cleaning lady that all the doors depended on passwords, and there were three passwords for three doors. Of course, Ctrip also received text messages later. The room is relatively clean, simple and hygienic. There is only a bed in the room, not even a mouthwash cup. If you want to eat or chat, you have to go to the public area. There are public facilities such as water cups and electric kettles in the public area. Unfortunately, the electric kettle broke down after a day of use. After writing an email, a staff member came to see it, but it was not repaired until we left the store. Overall, I felt average after staying for two nights. I didn't have much hope for European accommodation, so I can't say I was disappointed. If 5 points out of 100, then score 3 points.

The hotel was super cute and location was perfect, super close to the centre and had many cafes, salons and restaurants right next to it. The room was a bit too small( looks bigger in the pictures). The AC took sometime to cool the room. Bed was comfortable. Overall not bad, but for the price paid was not worth jt :)

Perfect in every way. We arrived late at night but the instructions to gain entrance worked well. Astikon Studios are conveniently close to Syntagma Square and across the road from The National Gardens. They are on the edge of Plaka and a short walk from the Acropolis and the Ermou shopping area. Monastraki and Lycabatus Hill are easily walkable too. They are perfectly situated for public transport to the airport by train/bus and seaside by tram. The studios were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The sofa bed was of good quality and the shower was amazing, it was both hot and powerful and did not flood. Thank you to the lovely Irini. She was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The service is very good, the location is excellent, most of the attractions are within walking distance, there are many restaurants nearby, the hotel breakfast is on the top floor, very good, looking at the Acropolis.

The front desk was very nice, and after seeing my name book two different room types, they took the initiative to arrange the two rooms next to each other. All the service staff were very friendly and kind. The room can see the Acropolis, and you can go up to the rooftop restaurant to watch it at sunset and at night. The angle and height are suitable for viewing. It’s just that because it is on the north side of the Acropolis, you can’t see the ancient Roman theater and the gate; another angle can see the Wolf Mountain completely, which also has a beautiful view. I've been to Arethusa before, always having a pleasant stay there. This time it was even better as the hotel was renovated (comparing to my last visit which I don't remember when it was). The big plus of the hotel is its location. You get a stay at the very center of Athens in an excellent cost. Room was nice always clean and shining. Staff was really helpful, polite and very friendly! Breakfast could be improved but considering the overall cost it was quite okay. I'll definitely come again.

The location is extremely convenient. You can take the airport bus or metro directly to Syntagma Square station, and the hotel is just a 2-minute walk from there. Most of Athens' major attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast offers a good variety, tastes great, and the service is excellent. It's a highly recommended hotel.
