Hotels in Syntagma Square, Athens

First off, the location is fantastic – just 300 meters from Syntagma Square, and several major attractions are within walking distance! Right outside is a bustling commercial street, and it feels very safe. We stayed a total of four nights in two separate stays (the first two nights with my wife and kids in a connecting room, then three days on an island, and the last two nights I stayed alone in a king-size room after my wife and kids returned home). The M3 metro from Syntagma Square makes getting to and from the airport super convenient (we traveled to and from Athens airport multiple times for trips to Santorini, Crete, etc.). The only hiccup was this morning (the 28th) when I went to the airport, the M3 was on strike, so I had to quickly take a taxi! Secondly, the bedding and facilities were clean. Thirdly, the breakfast terrace offers unbeatable views, looking right out at the Acropolis, and the service is great – the front desk staff are very nice! The main area for improvement is that there's nowhere to hang towels or clothes in the shower room (I already mentioned this to the front desk guy). Hopefully, that will change by my next visit!

The room is small and the living room is large. The air conditioner on the top of the bed we sleep on is a bit leaky, so the squat can turn around and sleep. Our arrival time is more than 12 o'clock in the middle of the night and we have to walk for eight minutes to pay the tax of 1.5 Euro. It is a bit tired, all self-service

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city's main commercial district, which is a fantastic spot. The facilities are brand new, and the service is great. It's directly opposite Syntagma Square, and you can easily walk to the Acropolis, the nearby Attica department store, or the luxury shopping street. It's incredibly convenient! Plus, the breakfast restaurant offers an amazing view of the Parthenon on the Acropolis, which is even better than seeing it from the base of the hill. 🏛️

There's a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant right across from the guesthouse, which is rare in Greece, and a bar. It's within walking distance of Syntagma Square, but the guesthouse has three keys to get in, which is a bit of a hassle.

Also, try to request a room away from the street if you're a light sleeper, as the bars out front can be a little loud at night.”

This hotel was fantastic, I really loved it. Aside from the small entrance being a bit hard to find, everything else was perfect. Before check-in, the hotel contacted me via email to discuss check-in and check-out times and provided a map and pictures showing how to get there – very detailed. I initially thought it would be self-check-in, but when I arrived, the host, Maria, was already waiting for me in the lobby! Maria was incredibly welcoming, shaking my hand and greeting me warmly – so friendly! It was the first time I'd ever met such a warm and friendly white person in Europe, I was quite touched 😹. Maria was very welcoming and explained the room code and facilities in detail. You need to turn on a switch in the shower 🚿 for the first 20 minutes. The room was large, stylish, and comfortable; every piece of furniture, every decoration, every detail reflected the hotel's attention to detail. The room had a refrigerator, kettle, microwave, tableware 🍽, toilet paper 🧻 – everything you needed. The decor was very stylish, and there was a balcony with a view, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was also excellent; it's just a block from Syntagma Square, and the Acropolis is only a 20-minute walk away – much closer than I expected. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, making it convenient for everything.

The location of this hotel is really great, near Syntagma Square. The X95 airport bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away, and the metro station is also nearby. The price is quite reasonable. There’s a free buffet breakfast, but no hot food 🥹. The room is spacious, but the bathroom is quite small 😅. The only downside is that there’s no complimentary bottled water, and the room is filled with chargeable snacks, drinks, and alcohol.

Amenities: Slippers and toothbrushes were provided, which was great. They also offered drinks and water, which was a real bonus. The elevator was a bit small, but that can't be helped. On the downside, there was no free luggage storage. Cleanliness: Our room on the 7th floor was fine, but the room on the 5th floor had a lot of ants. Location: The location was excellent, very convenient for getting around and also easy to reach from the airport. Plenty of dining options nearby too. Service: The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful, always ready to answer any questions.

Located in the heart of Athens between Akropolis and Syntagma Square it is in a perfect location to cultural explore, go for shopping as well as arrange business meetings. Many restaurants and coffee places, all in walking distance. Main reason to choose Elia Ermou was the room size as it is 20+ sqm, and it has a parking garage in the same building. Further to mention is the nice roof top restaurant in the 7th floor with terrace and Akropolis view. One minor issue to mention is if a little more silence is required a room on the higher floors and not on the Ermou side might be the better choice… Overall verdict, being a globally experienced traveler, 5 stars !

Excellent location! Just a 3-minute walk from Syntagma Square, the final stop for the X95 airport shuttle. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and bubble tea shops, making it very convenient for Chinese travelers. It's also within walking distance to several tourist attractions, and public transport is easily accessible. The service was top-notch; I received several email greetings and local travel tips before and after my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the keycard access felt very secure. The room was clean and well-equipped – nothing to complain about. Overall, great value for money!
