Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa

Beds were amazingly comfortable, shower was awesome hot and strong. Rooms and balcony were very spacious. Loved the bathrobe and slippers, something I haven't had in a hotel in quite a while... Rooms in 600/700 have no sun on the balconies, at least at this time of year... Just a little at the end of gardens. Personally with the ease of getting sunbeds I'm not sure I would bother investing in a garden or pool room, unless I had kids.. this time of year pools are probably freezing! We were told the hotel is full but it never felt like it! Although the sunbed allocation is a great idea, with the number of free beds I think it's kind of pointless and restrictive.. I would have suggested not having it in the offseason, but if this is how the hotel always feels (ie it's full now, even though it's off season) I prefer not to have allocated sunbeds and the freedom to move around. There were loads of free sunbeds throughout our stay. As per other reviews the pool, although really beautiful, is freezing!! I was disappointed to only go in once to play volleyball, and even though we were jumping around I was still freezing cold!! On the other hand the beach is a couple of minutes walk and absolutely beautiful. There's a cool beach bar (unfortunately it closed after our first day... Drinks and snacks still available but no vibes). Not particularly better than any 4 star I've stayed in - there were a few bits that were not clean, needed a bit of maintenance, getting run down - however the bathrobe, coffee machine and ironing board in the room and the ratio of staff and attentiveness of service was definitely 5 star. Although it was a little rough around the edges in a few places, definitely nothing really to complain about. Lazy river was a lovely way to spend half an hour - very relaxing, lots of fun and not as cold as you might expect. Al la carte restaurants were fab. Our favourite was the Italian. Superb food, service and live piano accompaniment. Unfortunately the Greek and Asian are outdoors, and in November it really wasn't warm enough. However the food was great. We didn't really enjoy The Greats... it would be a good restaurant back home but didn't really suit the holiday vibe, food was nothing special, didn't get the concept. Buffet food was tasty and varied... usual problem with buffet, not always warm etc. Drinks were good, lots of variety, nice cocktails. Entertainment was first class, and music throughout the bars and restaurants was very good; only one time in one bar did we find the music 'too English'. Overall a fab stay and thanks to all the lovely staff... would definitely return!

One of the best hotels I've ever staid One of the best hotels I've ever staid. The service, food, cleaning, evening shows, every single detail are of a high quality. Hotel is not new built but is very good maintained. The only down side is that land view rooms are looking into hotel's technical back yard and on the highway so you'd not like to spend time on the balcony. Hotels is not a beachfront, but one of the most beautiful beaches in Ayia Napa is just 5 minutes walk away. Great hotel.

Fantastic stay Just back from a fantastic stay at Olympic Lagoon. What a great well run resort. We had a Family Suite which had a King bed and twin beds in. The room facilities were really good apart from the mini bar. No idea why they couldn't pop in a few beers and some wine. However there were dressing gowns, slippers, a safe, teas and coffee, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. There was excellent WiFi throughout the resort. The food options here were really good. The buffet had such a great choice at all meals. For breakfast you could order pancakes or omelettes at your table. Apart from that a selection of most things you could think of. For lunch the sushi was lovely and we had some every day. We went to 2 of the a la cartes that you need to book in advance. We found some availability but you probably need to book these as soon as you arrive. They did offer to do it at Guest Services for us but we did it online.Captains Deck was the Cypriot restaurant and we found it a bit hit and miss. Quick service though so we didn't eat as much as we would have liked as the plates were piling up. Garibaldi's was the Italian restaurant and the food there was lovely. We had a 9.00 pm booking though and ended up rushing through our meal as there was no-one left there apart from us and the staff understandably seemed keen to close up. It is one of the most amazing hotels I have ever been to. The staff, services, and quality of food are beyond any expectation. It is my second visit to this location and I will return next year. Nearby you can find a beach with such amazing crystalline water. The evening entertainment is short but on top quality.

The All star team made our holiday. I massive 5 stars to Jackson, Mia, Megan, Louis and of course Fraser for his direction. The shows are Brilliant the only feedback I would give is to the sound team at times drown the team. Apart from that the whole setup is brilliant.
