Hampton Inn Chicago-Midway Airport (Bedford Park)

I checked in at 8:00 PM and had to leave at 5:00 AM for a flight, so all I wanted was a good night's sleep. The rooms have connecting doors adjoining doors that let in ALL noise from the adjoining room. The people next door were just talking at a normal level, but they might as well have been in my room. I could hear every word, the splash of water from the shower, the tab of a beverage can being opened, the rustle of a bag. I don't even have particularly good hearing. They finally went to bed at 5:00 AM, just as I was leaving, so I didn't sleep at all. I staggered downstairs to check out and had to wait ten minutes for the computers to come back on, which was understandable. I asked the front desk manager to call the airport shuttle while we waited for the computers, and she very pointedly rolled her eyes. I was too exhausted to ask what was so unreasonable about my request, but it didn't matter. The combination of bad room design and unprofessionalism ensure I'll never return.
Extended Stay America Suites - Chicago - Midway

10 mins drive Chicago Midway airport, room facilities were bit old but still functional. Close to restaurants and value for moeny. If you have a next day flight and would like to find a relatively safe and clean budget hotel, then this one will do.
Chicago Marriott Midway

Midway Airport Marriott is the best hotel in the area. All of the hotels in proximity to the airport are dated, but this property is kept up well and overall clean. With a comfortable mattress and soft linens you are sure to get a great night sleep here. The hotel is on a shared bus with about half of the hotels in the park that just runs on a continuous loop. The fitness center could use a refresh, which I believe may be happening soon? The M Club on the 6th floor is a bit on the small side but has nice views of the air field from afar. I did have my smoke detector battery go off late in the evening but the on call engineer quickly resolved the issue.
Doubletree by Hilton Chicago Midway Airport

Good solid hotel. Stayed one night before flying out the next day. Having stayed at the Hampton inn nearby the Double Tree is far better. Room was great and very quiet. I was on the second floor and barely heard in plane noise. Staff was super nice and helpful. Tv channels were a bit limited but do offer Netflix and some other streaming options. I used the shuttle service to the airport and had no problems. Also ordered food from the restauarant on site and it was quite good. I would definitely stat here again when in the area Hampton was not as good. Plenty of parking and safe area. Howver overall area around Midway airport is not the best.
Hilton Garden Inn Chicago/Midway Airport

This is my first review of an airport hotel and I was positively impressed enough to do so. My experience suggests that this is a well run, clean quiet facility next door to Midway airport. The occasional airline departure and landing noise was more modest and tolerable than I expected. Room (505) was spacious with a microwave, small frig and Keurig machine. A dining area with a bar is a helpful service, and a couple of restaurants (Friday’s and some locals) are at the end of the nearby parking lot. Bottom line: I would return and I do recommend to road warriors with high standards but no desire to throw $500 per night for a place to rest.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago-Midway Airport

I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express with my three daughters, ages 17, 7, and 1 Aug 1-4th. When I say “horrible”, that would be an understatement!!!! We arrived late that night, about 10 pm. Upon checking into my room I called down to the front desk for extra linen because I booked the conference suite and planned to use the sofa sleeper since I was traveling with my children. First, the front desk clerk told me the hotel was fully booked but she would see what she could do. I told her “you mean to tell me there’s no extra linen in the entire hotel.” Nevertheless, a knock at the door with extra linen came five minutes later. Next, while opening the sofa sleeper, we found blood stained sheets on the sofa sleeper. I immediately run down to the phone and call the front desk. Oh it gets worse. While on the phone with the front desk telling her about the sheets, and she telling me there’s literally no one who can come clean the room in the entire hotel and housekeeping isn’t her job, I hear my 17 year old yell out “don’t touch that” and my 7 year old says “what is it”, then my 17 year old says “mom the baby almost touched a used condom”!!! Before I could even go ballistic on the phone, the front desk clerk say “omg, I’m so sorry. I can move your room.” So after being in the nasty room 20 mins, me and my kids carry all of our bags to a smaller room at 10:30 at night. I asked for a manager and was told one would not be there until Wednesday, and it was Sunday night. When I finally got the chance to speak to a manager, Maria Diaz, when I say she was the most unapologetic, non empathetic, unprofessional, incompetent manager ever!!!! She told me and I quote: “Housekeeping cleans 20 rooms a day, things happen, and if I was that outraged I should’ve left, that’s what she would’ve done”!!! No wonder, housekeeping is doing a lackluster job, look at management!!! And to add insult to injury, my bill was incorrect and I was charged for the larger dirty room that I did not sleep in versus the smaller one. Needless to say, I’ll never visit another Holiday Inn chain and I suggest you stay far away from this one!!! I’ll be spending all day seeking out any and everyone in corporate!!!!
