I brought my mom and grandma to Hong Kong and booked the Regal Hotel. They upgraded us from a triple room to a deluxe suite with a harbor view. Although the hotel is a bit old, you can tell the facilities were very thoughtfully designed when it was built, and it's also very well-maintained! It was a very pleasant stay.

Arrived around 2 PM and was pleasantly surprised that I could check in already. Every staff member I passed greeted me warmly. The facilities and service were decent and met expectations. However, the price fluctuation is quite extreme. I'd expected prices to be higher due to the holiday coinciding with a concert, but they actually dropped closer to the date. It seems that with convenient transportation, staying in Hong Kong itself is now just an option. Definitely no need to book a hotel in Hong Kong far in advance anymore.

I booked this hotel primarily for its proximity to the HK Internationalal airport and the rate. As I was traveling back from Shanghai on an evening flight and was flying out of HK the next morning and just needed a place to sleep for the night. I booked 2 rooms one for my wife and the other for my mother. The hotel has a shuttle service and stated the schedule was posted at the hotel. This didn’t help at all since I was at the airport so we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. It was about a 7 minutes ride and cost me 30HKD (about $4 USD) plus 20HKD tips (not optional and tipping not required). When I checked in I was delighted to hear they upgraded our rooms to suites and both rooms were next to each other. They showed me on the floor plan where the room would be. This hotel is huge no kidding I walked about 5 minutes from the elevator to our rooms. The room was basically 2 adjoining rooms. One with a king sized bed joined by a studio room with a sofa bed. Basically my 2 booked rooms was 4 rooms. Each had a set of bathrooms. Since we checked in at 8pm there was not much to do nor things to see as it was dark outside. The pool was outdoors and was closed for the winter season. There was a gym but we were too exhausted after a day of travel to check it out. The lobby had a grab and go cafe where you can dine in or take food to your room. After we checked out we used the hotel shuttle service to the airport using the posted schedule at the front desk and posted on the right side of the hotel where you board the bus. The shuttle leaves hotel every 15 mins and is large enough to accommodate 30+ passengers. The shuttle also goes to the MTR where you can take the subway into HK. I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness and amenities as I found some hair on the sofa and some dirt on the floor and the pool was closed. Overall for the proximity to the airport and HK Exhibition Center and value I would not have stayed here. Disclaimer: This was my personal view based on accommodations and what needed during our 3 week trip to HK/China.

The room was upgraded and was indeed a bit bigger. I had specifically requested not to be near the elevator before arriving, but that's exactly where they put me. I was too tired to bother changing rooms at the time. There's a bathtub, so if you need one, bring a tub liner for a bath. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so remember to bring your own. There's no bottled water in the room, only tap water from the direct drinking dispenser. The 2-meter bed was plenty big, and there's even a cushioned windowsill!

The hotel boasts a convenient location with excellent public transport links. It's only a few hundred meters from the MTR Fortress Hill Station, about a 5-minute walk. There's also a 'ding ding' tram route nearby; make sure to take a ride on this century-old tram! The rooms are well-equipped with amenities like air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a refrigerator. It's worth noting that the hotel embraces an eco-friendly philosophy, so disposable toiletries (like toothbrushes and combs) and complimentary bottled water are not proactively provided. Guests should bring their own or purchase them at the hotel. The Deluxe Seaview Rooms offer views of Victoria Harbour. There are also some great local snacks around the hotel. For those with a sweet tooth, I recommend 'Fook Yuen Tang Yuan'.

The room was pretty good, having been renovated in 2024. Each room came with an air purifier, though there was still a slight paint smell. Overall, it offered great value for money and was quite affordable! It's close to the downstairs dining area, located in a Panda-themed building on the third floor, which can also host parties! Getting to the city center is convenient with the free shuttle bus, but it runs on a schedule and requires a reservation. It's best to book in advance; even if your plans change, it's easier than trying to get on last minute when it might be full! All in all, it's a good place, about a ten-minute walk from the subway station. City shuttle bus service: Convenient.

I stayed here on New Year's Eve. I originally booked a triple room and was worried it would be very small, but then I was upgraded to a large room with a sea view upon check-in, which was a wonderful surprise! Hygiene: It was very clean and tidy. Service: We had to wait a bit because it was peak season, but it was quick, and a server even brought us milk tea. Facilities: Most basic amenities were provided, but disposable toiletries and bottled water needed to be brought by ourselves. Luckily, I had done my research and brought them along. Environment: The surrounding area is very lively! I went there for Zhou Shen's New Year's Eve concert at Kai Tak, and even at 1 or 2 AM, there were still many restaurants open, as well as 7-Eleven. I wasn't worried about walking at night, and transportation is very convenient. Tsim Sha Tsui East Station goes directly to Kai Tak, and you can even watch the sunrise from your room. I tried both breakfast and afternoon tea, which were decent. If I have the chance, I would choose The Emperor Hotel again. Not bad, not bad at all.

The hotel is directly connected to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) via a covered, air-conditioned walkway (just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal). That makes it ideal for late arrivals, early departures, or long layovers. I attempted to contact the hotel front desk on New Year’s Eve, but no one answered the phone. The check-in and check-out process was fast and efficient, which I appreciated.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hopewell Hotel. The service was top notch from start to finish We really appreciated the simple but thoughtfu welcome cake and fruits, along with the personal handwritten letter from the quest relations team for our honeymoon. It meant a lot to us. The complimentary upgrade to a Premium King City Room was an amazing surprise. The room itself was fantastic. High quality verv comfortable. and exceptionallv clean. The hotel's location is extremelv convenient, with easy access to public transport including trams, trains and buses. I also loved the check in process. Leaving luggage on Level 18, checking in on Level 19, then having the staff deliver our bags to the room made evervthina feel seamless and stress free Ne had to check out earlv to run some last minute errands. and the team kindly allowed us to store our luggage. When we came back, the staff even helpec us weigh our bags. Jason and his team were incredibly helpful with our luggage and in arranging a taxi to the airport. Overall, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Hopewell Hotel to friends. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

MM10920**** 2025.12.21
The hotel is conveniently located near both Tsim Sha Tsui East and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations, with easy walking access to the Star Ferry, Avenue of Stars, and Harbour City. There are also plenty of dining options nearby; I tried out Mrs. Tang Cafe and Yung Kee Restaurant's roasted goose with dried tangerine peel, among others. The room comes with a water dispenser, a 3-in-1 charging cable, and a universal adapter. The bed is large enough for a family of three. The hotel also has a bakery famous for its palmiers and Napoleon cakes, and guests get an 8.5% discount. A deposit is required, but Alipay and WeChat aren't accepted. I opted for a physical credit card authorization via UnionPay, and the staff advised it would speed up the refund process. For my return trip, I took the A21 airport bus from near the hotel, which was very convenient; I waited about 15 minutes, and it took roughly an hour to reach the airport.

GGuest UserPhenomenal place to stay - only quirk getting out of the way first it can be slightly tricky to find being in the mid Levels, so a taxi/shuttle would be better than walking. However, the room was spacious and very nice, clean with a great view from the 13th floor. The front desk was extra helpful by helping with my phone charger issue on top of being punctual, helpful etc. Great building as well, there is a Fusion maybe three minutes away walking so picking up random necessities is useful and a gas station with some random items as well so you will always be able to grab something quick. Great little restaurant next to the greeting area as well, Hainanese chicken is great and I used my free drink voucher as well. Fantastic place to stay, I will be back next time I am in HK

HHuayingxiongThis long-standing hotel offers exceptionally attentive service. Seeing that I was traveling with a child, they immediately upgraded us to a suite for free. The most impressive part was how quickly the staff responded to requests, helping with luggage, arranging taxis, and other small details – it really showed their dedication. I think Hong Kong's hotel management is truly top-notch, with a great service mindset. Thumbs up! Plus, there's a mall and a MTR station right next to the hotel, making dining, accommodation, and transportation very convenient.

TtriishlouiseVery nice hotel. The only issue we had was that when we first arrived, the receptionist took quite a long time to process our check-in. They could definitely improve their service in that area. We also got a room upgrade for a lower price (plus taxes), which was great. We enjoyed our stay even though it was short (from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) since we had to transfer to another hotel afterward.

11383237****This was my husband and my first time visiting Hong Kong for two days. When I booked, Island Shangri-La was the only hotel that offered a refundable option, and I had heard great things about their service, so I decided to book it. After checking in, I truly experienced the prime location. Right across from the hotel entrance is Hong Kong Park, which, although not large, is beautifully scenic. The plants and trees are all labeled, there are fountains and streams, and even a delightful aviary with various birds to observe. It's perfect for families with children. Diagonally opposite the park entrance, not far away, is the Peak Tram entrance – surprise number two! Buying a 'red diamond' ticket allowed us direct entry, saving a lot of waiting time, and we got to enjoy the stunning Victoria Harbour view from the top. Below the hotel is Pacific Place mall, a high-end shopping destination, and a short walk in front takes you to the seaside park, which is incredibly convenient. Now, about the hotel service – it was excellent, absolutely fantastic! The front desk lady was warm, thoughtful, and highly professional. She helped us get a room with a beautiful view, which was a huge plus! All the staff members were humble and polite, and their Mandarin communication was excellent. The concierges at the entrance were courteous and welcoming. For breakfast, the hot noodle bowl was quite large, and the young man serving piled on plenty of toppings, cooked just right – it was delicious, surprise number three, and definitely deserves praise. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

FFrankie_MYThe hotel location is less than 10 minutes walk to the Tai Wo Hau MTR station, however they do provide shuttle van service to the Kwai Fong MTR station every 30 minutes. The journey in the train to Central is just about 25 minutes. There is a small 7-11 next to the hotel but it is not 24 hours. If you come back late and craving for some food, you may go to the eatery under Tai Wo Hau residences, they open late. There are some vending machines in the hotel ground floor as well. The room is clean and spacious with the reasonable price in HK.

MM222730****The hotel has a beach right next to it, perfect for swimming. Our room faced the sea, offering beautiful sunset views. Breakfast was included, which is great value for money in Hong Kong! The only downside was the curly-haired, plump lady at the entrance of the second-floor restaurant; she completely lacked professional service. She didn't even crack a smile when I greeted her and just had a grumpy expression. Maybe she's going through menopause, I guess I can understand that! Everything else was really good though.

AAnonymous UserLocated on the 6th floor, it's very quiet. What you see is what you get – the photos are exactly like the real thing. They provided disposable slippers for 3 adults and 1 child. While there was no bottled water or basic toiletries, they did have shower gel, shampoo, a hairdryer, hand soap, and lotion (all wall-mounted). The shower and toilet are separate cubicles, but the sink area is semi-open, so if someone is sleeping in the morning, the sound of washing is hard to isolate. The mini-bar offers a water dispenser with adjustable temperature, a capsule coffee machine with 3 capsules (including creamer, brown sugar, white sugar, and artificial sweetener). In the drawer, there were 4 Dilmah tea bags, small Mickey plastic cups, 2 plastic spoons, and 1 metal tong (guessing for sugar cubes or ice). Above, there were 4 round ceramic cups, but only one plug at the mini-bar. I didn't place the coffee capsule correctly, so I called staff for help (had to wait a bit). After they brewed one, they even replaced the 2 failed capsules, saying I could ask the front desk for more if needed. It seemed like all the staff here spoke Mandarin with a bit of a 'tongue-twister' accent. Compared to their 'tongue-twisting' Mandarin and my broken Cantonese, I chose to make them uncomfortable and communicate in Cantonese! Haha! Vouchers: 3 x 10 RMB off (no minimum spend), 2 x 100 RMB off for spending 500 RMB, and 100 RMB off per person for the buffet. The small gift is shown in picture 3. At checkout, they gave me 2 commemorative room cards. They mentioned Mickey or Donald Duck might appear in the lobby for photos, but I didn't encounter them. Hope to catch them next time!
