Hotel near Wan Chai and Causeway Bay,Hong Kong 7.3% of visitors choose this area
SShenzhenFoodie 2026.01.04
The hotel is located in the city center and close to shopping areas in Causeway Bay. It is also close to the Causeway Bay metro so it is easy to travel around Hong Kong. The hotel is clean, and Ms. Chalette, the staff member, was helpful throughout my registration. My room is on the 34th floor, close to the swimming pool. However, the pool is closed due to the weather. The gym is on the B2 floor, which is in the basement area. I haven’t checked the gym, though. To get to my room, I have to change the elevator on the 31st floor to another elevator.  The regular elevator is slow but the elevators from 31 to 34 are fast. My room is big with a high ceiling, and clean. There is a big bathtub in the room as well. The view is awesome which is Victoria Harbor and Victoria Park. However, the heater in the room didn’t work properly so it was always colder inside. Overall, except for the heater that didn’t work, and the slow elevator, I do enjoy my stay here. If it is not expensive, I might stay here again.

The location is fantastic, right above Hung Hom, and very close to the MTR station. When I arrived, Jacky Cheung happened to be having a concert downstairs. The room was super big! You wouldn't imagine such a spacious room in high-rent Hong Kong just by looking at the pictures. There's also a microwave and an induction cooker, so you can prepare your own food. However, due to an environmental policy, disposable items like toothbrushes need to be purchased separately from the front desk (I chose to buy non-disposable ones from Don Quijote). The hairdryer was a bit hard to find, tucked away in the wardrobe behind the bathroom. The room was a bit dim without a main light. Although check-out is at 11 AM, they're not strict about the time. Storing luggage at the front desk was also very simple and quick.

Arrived in Hong Kong and chose this hotel for our first night's layover. The free shuttle bus service to and from the airport was incredibly convenient! Plus, on our second day, there was also a direct shuttle to the Disneyland park entrance, which was a huge help. The hotel front desk staff were very nice; seeing we had a child with us, they upgraded us to a suite, saying it would be more comfortable with the extra space – much appreciated! Everything from cleanliness, environment, to location was excellent! I'll definitely choose this hotel again for early morning or late night flights when I'm back in Hong Kong.

The hotel lobby at the Regal Hotel has been renovated, but they no longer provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other toiletries in the rooms. When checking in, they said we got a free upgrade to a room twice the size, but it felt like the standard room I've stayed in before. The hairdryer was new, but it had a three-prong plug and couldn't be used in the bathroom, so I had to dry my hair outside. There were only two outlets for charging in the room, which is fewer than before and not very convenient. I didn't sleep particularly well this time, but for a weekend stay, it was still alright. There are lots of new restaurants nearby, so food and drinks are not an issue.

Came to Hong Kong for the Standard Chartered Marathon and chose this hotel considering its value for money. Unexpectedly, it was a fantastic surprise! The hotel is very close to the airport bus stop and not far from the MTR station, making transportation incredibly convenient! It's right across the harbor from Kai Tak Sports Park, where I picked up my race kit, and you can easily get there by ferry, which is also super convenient! The hotel is also close to the marathon finish line, so after the race, I could just stroll back, shower, and rest up – it was amazing! The overall facilities were better than expected, the room was quite spacious, and the service was warm and friendly. The restaurant and lounge on the top floor offer stunning night views!

Getting to the hotel is super convenient! Just take the A31 bus from the airport, and it's a direct 6-stop ride. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a mall, with various shops and restaurants on the 1st and 2nd floors. There's also a huge, affordable supermarket on the B3 level, offering a wide selection of inexpensive goods. The MTR station is also very close, about a 7-minute walk. I was a bit confused on the first day, but then I discovered the lobby connects directly to a footbridge, which is incredibly handy. The city shuttle service is amazing! It took only 15 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui directly to the hotel, and the bus was clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong. It's also really close to both Disneyland and the airport, which I was very happy and satisfied with. I hope the rest of my trip is just as fantastic!

Booked on Trip.com for a three-night stay, including breakfast and afternoon tea. The breakfast spread was excellent. The hotel boasts a convenient location, just over 500 meters from the subway station, which is a major plus for getting around Hong Kong. You can easily walk to Victoria Harbour, the Avenue of Stars, the Clock Tower, and Kowloon Park from here. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, so overall, it's very convenient. For shopping, K11 is practically next door, and Central is just two subway stops away.

Traveling with a child on a layover, this hotel was incredibly convenient. It's just a short walk from the airport. The room was quite spacious too. I saw reviews praising the coffee in the cafe, so I tried it, and it was excellent. My child got free cookies, and I ended up buying some more as gifts. Check-in was a bit crowded, probably because several flights had just arrived. Check-out was very smooth, and they even offered express service. Oh, and the hotel also provides free universal adapters; you just scan a QR code, and customer service delivers it to your door. They don't provide bottled water, but they offer free glass bottles, and drinking water stations are available in the hallway, which is both eco-friendly and practical. Overall, a great experience!

This hotel, newly opened in 2024, offers Chinese-speaking staff. The rooms are incredibly spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with all facilities and equipment being brand new. Each room features a direct drinking water tap, a capsule coffee machine, a fully functional microwave, an iron and ironing board, and a great hairdryer. The carpets are dust-free, and the service is excellent. We received complimentary welcome fruits, chocolates, and wine, making it fantastic value for money. The hotel's surroundings are very well-equipped. There's a large supermarket on the 15th floor and a shopping mall downstairs. Transportation is convenient; it's about a 5-minute walk to Wan Chai MTR station and the Ding Ding Tram stop. Wan Chai Pier is approximately a 15-minute walk via an elevated walkway from Wan Chai MTR station. Many delicious eateries are nearby, including Boston, Wah So, Yung Gor, Le Ramen, and Rishan. The only area for improvement is the breakfast. While it appears to offer many choices, it actually doesn't. Eggs, for instance, account for 5 or 6 items: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, mushroom scrambled eggs, fried eggs… The stir-fried noodles were particularly bad – truly unpalatable, almost as if they were deliberately cooked that way. The boiled noodles and pasta weren't good either, and the baby cabbage was a bit pungent and lacked freshness. The various fish balls and beef balls served with the noodles were okay. It's really tough for anyone wanting a tasty and hot noodle/rice/vermicelli dish for breakfast. Hot dishes are also scarce, with meat and vegetarian options being almost identical every day. The breakfast is severely overpriced; you'd be better off eating at a local 'cha chaan teng' or Cafe de Coral outside.

Love everything about this hotel! The location is very nice, even it's not in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui but close enough to walk, ~10mins for walking to Tsim Sha Tsui. K11 Art mall is in the middle on the way from hotel to Tsim Sha Tsui so we stopped by for popular tea shops, CHAGEE and Heytea, everyday during our stay in this hotel. We booked premier room to enjoy the sea view and it's worth it! The hotel is located on the Mody road which have a beautiful Christmas decorations that can be seen from our hotel room, Avenue of Stars is also across the road. Room is true to pictures, all amenities are provided everyday, all staffs we met are easy approach and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone who's looking for luxury hotel in a budget!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points. If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel. When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.

MM2g91nc0r****Facilities: There's a 24-hour gym, which the kids loved. Cleanliness: Relatively clean. Environment: The blackout curtains aren't great, but it wasn't too noisy being on the street. I'm not sure if it was the AC or the ventilation system, but it was a bit loud. You can't hear any noise from other rooms or upstairs, so overall it was okay. The two beds were pushed together, which was perfect for a family traveling with two kids. Service: Check-in and check-out were both quick, and the service was very thoughtful. Storing luggage at check-out was super convenient, and the front desk staff were very nice. Facilities: There are tram stops nearby and a bus stop right outside. There's also a fruit store and a pharmacy next to the hotel, and a 7-Eleven across the street, making dining, living, and transportation quite convenient. Being close to Times Square makes getting around easy. The hotel's logo isn't very prominent; I'd suggest hanging it higher and making it stand out with different colors and lights. Recommendation: Try the Yoshinoya nearby. It's close to the market, so you can also check out the market for good food.

Ssky3014Overall, it was a great stay. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get to Victoria Harbour and other attractions. Right next door is the Grand Century Place mall, so you have plenty of dining options. The hotel's environment and cleanliness were also good. We chose a room with a 1.5-meter bed, which is quite rare for Hong Kong. Essential toiletries like toothbrushes, shampoo, and body wash were all provided, so there was no need to bring our own. One of the best things about Hong Kong is that you don't need to buy bottled water; we didn't buy any water during our four-day trip. Just carry a reusable water bottle, and you can refill it almost anywhere, which is very convenient and eco-friendly – definitely something to learn from. The only minor issue we had was on the first night; we were given a room with a connecting door, and the soundproofing was terrible. The family next door had three noisy kids who kept us up until late, so we didn't get much sleep. However, the hotel was very accommodating and moved us to a quieter room the next day.

AAnonymous UserI will definitely stay again because the front desk Carissa is so kind that I decided to show confidence on Shangrila again. The newly renovated room is super clean that I don’t have to worry about bugs which seem to be quite awful all over the 5-star hotel rooms in HK according to guests reviews. Cleaning lady is very kind and polite. Only the Christmas gifts saleslady needs to be more helpful for customers. One waiter at the horizon club is not very friendly.

DDadadaHHYFor this trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, I chose the Explorer's Lodge, mainly because I wanted to get back to the hotel quickly to rest after a day of fun. The hotel is located right next to Disneyland and offers a shuttle service. The hotel's decor has an adventurous theme, which I personally think is the best among the three Disney hotels. The rooms here are quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, featuring two 1.5m beds, which could even accommodate four people. The cleanliness was excellent, with clean and tidy bedding, and the overall room environment was very good. We upgraded to a sea view room, offering views of the courtyard and the sea, and the sea view was lovely on a clear day. The hotel service was generally good, and communication in Mandarin was absolutely no problem. Coincidentally, it was Hong Kong Disneyland's 20th anniversary, and the hotel rooms even had small gifts that guests could take home. The hotel restaurants are a bit pricey, but the breakfast and set meals at Chart Room Cafe were quite good.
