There is quite a trek uphill to the hotel. The hotel is quiet and has beautiful views. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant, bar has good food and drinks.There is a sauna but not much else, but don't worry, the uphill trek will be enough exercise.

The food is good in the hotel restaurant. The staff are nice. However, it's far away from Berchtesgaden HBF. We need to climb up the hill to reach there.

The property is located at very(!) mountainous terrain, it is really tough to get there by foot , and carrying luggage is making it really painful.
Note: there is no any Uber-like service in the city (not related to the property itself, just general comment).
We got a room in the basement floor and it was a bit cold inside (may). Cleaning is on demand (you have to ask for it at the reception or put a sign on the door. Staff warns you about it in advance). I had some issues with drying my towel as there was no any heater in the room.
No issues with hot water, the bed was a bit firm to me but thats okay.
Breakfast is okay-ish (typical austrian / german, eggs , bread, butter and some cold cuts, yogurt and juice is also available). Coffee was great.
Personnel is very friendly and helpful.

Hotel has a nice location. Walking to the center. We got a double room with terrace on the ground floor. Beds are good. Restaurant with nice view of the mountain. Breakfast and dinner well taken care of and tasty. Car could be in the garage. Friendly fast speaking reception employee.

Unfortunately, I have to say that in my experience this hotel does not correspond to 4 stars and therefore the price-performance ratio is not justified. The accommodation is getting old and does not correspond to the current standard of a 4 star hotel

Great room in a nicely located Bavarian hotel with comfy beds and good amenities. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good with the best views I’ve had during breakfast for many years. We had a drink and some desert in the bar at night which was also nice and was packed with happy customers. Would def go back and stay again.
