OYO Hotel 33

I am not usually one to leave negative reviews but I feel that this one is very much needed. Myself and my partner had booked this hotel for NYE as it was local to an event that we was going to. Upon arriving at the hotel, the front door was locked and we was waiting for 20 minutes outside trying to call the phone number on the booking, hoping to get hold of someone. After being on hold for 20 minutes, we went to the hotel next door where we found out that they were keeping the keys for us. After a quick chat with the lady in the hotel next door, we went into Hotel 33 and was completely disgusted by the state of the place and how it was NOTHING like the photos on the booking website. The place smelled strongly like cigarette smoke and very damp. We went upstairs to our room, the room door was completely open upon getting there and we found that the bed wasn't made, there was no toilet rolls in the bathroom and the window was wide open during the heavy raining. The walls were mouldy and damp, the bathroom door was a piece of plywood and looked to have been chewed by something and none of the plug sockets worked. There was no heating at all and one of the walls in the room was just wet plaster as shown in the pictures. We were absolutely devastated. We tried to call the reception but once again no answer after trying for 15 minutes. The bathroom sink was surrounded by broken plasterboard and there was black mould growing in the corners of the ceiling too! Never again will I be staying in this hotel and after booking this hotel with the amazing pictures it is listed with, it is a complete lie and we wish we had never booked. Not for one minute in our stay did we feel safe. I hope anyone who reads this avoids ever booking here !!!

Great value. Spotless clean, very kind and helpful staff. Perfect location, 2 min walk from the train station, the beach, nightclubs (particularly those lgbt spots), 5 min walk to the Blackpool Tower. Coffee/tea making facilities, also toiletries provided. 👌

Possibly explore breakfast facilities, upgrade mattresses, power shower. Posssbly Introduce a bar Very modern but didn't represent value for money. Communal areas needed hoovering. All in all aesthetically well presented, but requires updating.

Modern rooms, good shower, nice staff. On the better end of properties in this area. Hotel was rather quiet which was great. Lots of great places to go out around here. Would definitely stay here again if in Blackpool and would be happy to recommend to others.

Really nice Great easy check in was shown the room personally lovely spacious room very well decorated bedside plugs with USB connections nice range of drinks teas coffee and hot chocolate a nice little touch a small fridge in the room which was nice a nice big bathroom decorated to a high standard plus a nice big new bath with a separate shower I would definitely recommend staying here

Fantastic Stay Loved everything about this hotel. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Chatted away to us really lovely bunch of people. The room was huge, very modern & spotlessly clean. The bathroom also huge with a bath and a shower. Bed was really comfortable. The room had a fan, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, safe & an iron.plenty of storage space for clothes. All in all just a lovely place to stay We come to Blackpool every year for rebellion festival and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. We will definitely stay again
