OYO the Chatwal Boutique Hotel

Stayed overnight last night and the room was ok but I expected a better standard of finish for the price. Literally just a few bit and bobs need to be sorted and it would be 5/5. Simple things like the bedside tables hadn’t been wiped, the walls in places are really tatty, do not look behind the sofa when opening a window. The bathroom is massive but again small things let it down the towel holder has come out of the wall and the walls are peeling. Breakfast, we were told there would be a selection of cheese and meats, pastries, yogurt etc, all there was were cereal, basic fruit and a few slices of salami. Anything cooked came at an extra price but when a continental breakfast is included you at least expect the basics of a continental. The staff however were absolutely lovely, the owners could do with just spending a few quid on the small jobs and it would be excellent.

Customer service first rate, definitely not yet five star as advertised, very much work in progress, disappointed no prior warning given restaurant was pre booked only not on website or many welcome emails, just need to get few things sorted

The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff were pleasant. However, it just fell short of our expectations and the descriptions on the website are rather exaggerated. This is more shabby chic than boutique! Unfinished plaster on walls and ceilings, random offcuts of carpets on walls, several things broken (blind, door knobs etc) All furniture is mix matched, leopard print chair with a pink fluffy cushions, curtains of varying lengths etc ! Signal was terrible for phone, wi-fi and TV. We were moved room but the quality didn’t improve. Location was great for both piers and attractions, but we felt like we overpaid for a hotel sold as more luxury, but really wasn’t. Google lists this as five stars. It deserves 2 or 3.

We booked this hotel on the motorway coming into Blackpool purely off the recommendations from TripAdvisor. The hotel is a family run hotel and all are very friendly and trying very hard to make this a success. Compared to other hotels in Blackpool we made a good choice, the rooms are clean and spacious and well equipped for a overnight stay. Breakfast is on a continental basis with hot options at additional cost. Being one night stay we didn’t have a evening meal or use the Spa faculties. Parking is free at the rear the access is quite tight especially for larger vehicles. Some slight wear and tear and finishes need tweaking but, on the hole, a pleasant stay

Perfect for an overnight stay in Blackpool.. extremely pleasant and helpful hosts.. bedroom and bathroom spotless.. bar area well stocked for a drink before going out .. bed comfy and lovely warm room .. all in all great value for money 🥰

Very warm welcome on arrival, room was clean, warm and most comfortable. Husband and I unfortunately got absolutely drenched whilst out and about, was kindly offered to use their dryer for our more than wet cloths when we returned to the hotel. Was lovely to go to our room and dry off and have a warm bath (nice bath products provided). Breakfast was continental and found it fresh and resuplied often. Toast and hot croissants made on request so no waiting around the toaster waiting for your toast. Cooked breakfast at an additional charge and Cooked fresh. Great location , literally a few minutes walk round the corner to the main promenade of Blackpool. Staff are genuinely friendly with out being over the top. All in all a very pleasant experience at this hotel.
