Room was nice and clean, bed was comfy... Very small lift and was very slow to call.. But all in all a good stay.

Taking long time to check in even though it’s already 5pm that time when we check in. And check in supposed to start at 3pm. Pool is small and not maintained. No pillowcase cover when we arrived in our room.

Stayed couple of nights it was cheaper to park out on main road then what it was to pay hotel for parking, Room a bit on small side with small tv on the wall, didn’t pay extra for breakfast so don’t know what it was like or have time to use the amenities, our room was clean and bathroom was clean would definitely go back to hotel

Stay away from this hotel! I don't really know where to start from. We saw the pictures on the website and the Hotel looked excellent. I booked a family room for 4 @ £175 for one night. The hotel outside is not really well maintained, but the bad surprise was the room: it was falling apart! The bunkbed area of the room looked like a jail with a dirty sink in the room, the way to get to the bunkbed was partially blocked by a wardrobe and a kid can walk through, drywalls falling down, dirty windows (we couldn't see through). The bathroom floor was squicking at every step and we could feel the studs under the floor just walking on it (probably rotten floor). We mentioned this to the receptionist who said "We do not have other rooms available". They claim to have a SPA and a pool, yes they have them but cleanliness is not in their vocabulary. Again, stay away from this hotel.

Really disappointed. We could get the same hotel in a cheap price. We paid £368 for 2 nights which is really expensive for this hotel

Firstly I would like to give a special mention to dale which went above and beyond before our stay had even begun by ensuring we had twin beds and also leaving a little momento for my son for his 16th birthday,these little things matter and make your stay all the more memorable . We arrived on Thursday and staff were happy for us to arrive and use the facilities early even though check in wasn’t until 3, we arrived at 10am to make the most of the air show , the parking attendant we met was very helpful and we then saw the catering manager or events manager on arrival and although he wasn’t aware we were staying he was polite and greeted us and it helps make you feel that little bit more important and valued ,this continued and we met a man whose name began with a w and after seeing the buffet spread that was available at a reasonable price he helped us book and secure two places and we enjoyed some fantastic food and views (the only downside to the buffet packages were that they didn’t offer soft drinks as a alternative to prosecco or pimms otherwise we would of upgraded. There were many others there with children who had upgraded and they were saying no soft drinks were offered as an alternative to them either so maybe next time highlight this and make this available as the air show is a family event. We got our room at 3 and were amazed by the views and purchased drinks from the bar on a few occasions and staff here were also friendly and polite and made you feel like you were on a holiday even though we were there for only one night ,the swimming pool next door is available as it’s a sister hotel and it looked very busy but fun although we didn’t use it but have said we would on future visits. The room was clean and tidy and everything we needed was available . Beds were very comfortable and on occasions you could hear a freak of a floorboard but it is an old building and in reality it adds character to the place but having said that it wasn’t very often we heard it. Breakfast the next day was really nice and I can usually gauge the quality of the food by the sausages as many hotels offer a poor quality sausage but there’s were very nice and breakfast was enjoyable . The toast machine as with many restaurants is temperamental and occasionally needed toast putting in twice causing queues but that happens everywhere (please though clean away the rubbish and move the rat trap that is outside the window by the toast machine as it doesn’t help the appeal of eating when you can see old lighters rubbish and a rat trap right next to the window) Finally the staff on reception and these guys are usually the first you meet ,are the engine room of the hotel and are essentially the most important as you see these guys at check in and out and if there are any issues ,they are a busy bunch and are polite but left you feeling that you were more of a distraction to their job rather than making you feel welcome and wanted . They were not rude but did not make

I am Not reviewing the hotel as we didn't stay...just the basement event restaurant we were invited to...the space had been hired for a colleagues birthday/ retirement do, he had had it booked since early June. There was a lovely menu, on paper. He was so very kindly paying for us all...we had a choice of 2 courses, I choose the samosas which were lovely...my main choice was The sea bass, new potatoes and vegetables...my main arrived with roast potatoes and when queried as I wanted boiled new potatoes, I was told by the waiter that the chef said that the potatoes were new but too big so cut up? But no reason as to why roasted and not boiled? The skin was removed from the fish by me and I could practically see through this.the one spoon of cauliflower was lije a rock, and the carrots were grey. To top it off the meal was cold.the kitchen is opposite the room? My friend had ordered chocolates fudge cake with chocolate sauce for her pudding, when it arrived, she queried the chocolate sauce and lack of it, she was directed to the artistic squiggles under the cake, she asked for a little more expecting a soft pouring sauce from the chef, but she was handed a bottle of thick chocolate sauce. ..maybe we are too picky, but it was very embarrassing for our work colleague who was very kindly paying for us...I'll share photos, they are dark due to being in the basement.

Amazing stay at an amazing hotel. Staff went out their way to help when needed. Alexandra was fantastic. Shame we werent told when we booked that we wouldnt be able to eat evening meal in any of your sister hotels on the Saturday evening of 20th July 2024, due to weddings and private functions. After travelling for 4 hours we were weary and very hungry.

Great value hotel, rooms good and amenities all ok Not far from town centre and pier 10-15mins walk with great views of the sea. Spaces limited for parking thou. Hotel is within walking distance of the train station . We did not eat in restaurant so can not advise on that aspect .

Lovely hotel with great friendly staff. I stayed with my mum and we went to the tribute night in the hotel next door. We stayed in a room with a balcony. The room is really spacious and has very comfy beds and amazing views over the sea. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and look forward to returning again soon. We would recommend this hotel. Thanks to everyone at the suncliff, and especially to Michaela who helped us arrange the room we wanted and everything for the weekend.

The worst bathroom I have ever stayed in. Floor constantly wet, shower leaking from head and tap. Tiles lifting from wall and rust on the outside of the cubicle. Toilet needed at least 3 flushes to clear. The bedroom carpet was badly stained and pile matted, in fact I dare not walk barefooted

We used the Suncliff as the venue for a weekend away for our group of 59, including a black tie banquet and entertainment on Saturday night. The whole weekend was a superb success thanks to the hotel, they are experts at events such as ours and created a stunning dining room and an excellent 4-course banquet. Throughout the planning process and across the weekend the hotel supported every step of the way and special praise is due to Lisa Dowdall-Sousa. In particular, great care was taken to ensure that accessible rooms were supplied where required. Our group was aged between 19 and 83, and praise is still coming in for the brilliant time had by all. I can strongly recommend the Suncliff for events like ours.

So very disappointed with this hotel. I wasn’t expecting luxury but wow this is something else. Our room was tiny you open the door and are confronted with the wall of the en-suite . The carpets are old and dirty the shower room is tiny and in need of a refresh. The basin is tiny how you are supposed to wash i have no idea. The room itself is so small . Also the towels provided are such poor quality there is nowhere to put your suitcase and the lighting is so dull. I would say 2 star . I am very surprised that coach tours companies use this hotel .

Had a lovely stay for 5 nights,everything clean and friendly staff,room refreshed every day with towels toiletries and tea,coffee.No problems at all.went out forbus journeys most days so didnt eat at hotel.Used indoor pool 4days so realky enjoyed our stay.

I found the hotel clean and tidy .The big problem with your hotel is the food I found it at best only warm and not a lot on the plate. I paid a lot of money to stay at your hotel and eat in your restaurant but your restaurant manager had different ideas by telling us we had to go to the pub for food two nights we had two wait two hours before we had food.Then the restaurant was closed for two nights so we had to eat in the pub again.not HAPPY
