We regularly visit towns. In this case Brugge. This is a hotel found that is the value, appearance and authentic as no other. I will never even talk about the hospitality and the warmth that Hans and his wife have made us experience as guests.
A room where nothing is missing. Extremely clean, air-conditioned, separate toilet and bathroom. The facility is realized with respect and sensitive love for the history of the building. I appoint the beautiful chairs, the bed with history to Italian Lucca. And with modern adjustments of this time. Regent shower, double glassing, LED TV and feature furniture. The extensive breakfast is served in the oldest part (14th century) of the hotel and not only by the countless breads, insecticides, fresh fruit but even without breakfast is an experience. In short, fantastic and we will certainly come here.. - Come back.

Having stayed several times at the Dukes Palace, Bruges, and this being a sister hotel, I expected a similar standard. It's not. Reception staff cold, unfriendly and frankly, unhelpful. Booked a parking space, but one had not been reserved for me (there's only four parking spaces at the hotel - and one of those was being used by the hotel manager). Was told I would have to leave my car in a public car park. I did not want to do this for security reasons. Having visited Bruges around 20 times, I am fully aware that parking is extremely limited, hence the reason I booked the car park. They had no record of me booking the car park (booked through Hotels.com) and did not have any spaces available (if I had been the hotel manager, I would have offered to move my car for my guest - the fact that this didn't happen tells you everything). I took it upon myself to pop over to its sister hotel, the Dukes Palace, and explained my situation. The staff there were very helpful and said I could park my car in their car park. Why couldn't the receptionist at the Dukes Arches arrange that? Absolute zero customer service. Bar area, whilst very nicely appointed, completely lacked atmosphere, despite being quite busy. Breakfast service was good. Staff within the breakfast room were very helpful and friendly. Courtyard room lacked a courtyard view (please see photo). Bed was very comfy. I was concerned about the low water temperature in the bathroom (I'm familiar with legionella) and reported this to the reception staff. Met with a shrug of the shoulders! Be aware that with the ground floor courtyard rooms, there is a corridor off the car park to access these. The external door does not closely very well and with cars coming and going, the corridor fills with car exhaust fumes. Overall, very disappointed. I will be coming back to Bruges (fabulous place), but will never stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at this lovely little hotel in the centre of Bruges to celebrate my wife's birthday. In the room was a Happy Birthday note and a small box of chocolates. A nice touch. Our room had a view of the Belfry Tower and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were delightful and always helpful. We had the small breakfast served in the Living Room which was exactly right for us. Thank you for making our two days stay very special.

The location is average, the room itself is very nice, but one exception…the chairs in the room. They are not comfortable to sit on for longer than 30 minutes.
I don’t understand why a hotel like this would pick such cheap and uncomfortable chairs.

This hotel is in an excellent central location, close to all the shops, square and museums and close to the station and car park. It is welcoming, clean and cosy and had everything we needed the shower was hot and bedroom spacious and authentic. The atmosphere was friendly and nice with candles burning and character. The only complaint is the pillows were very small and seemed more decorative rather than comfy and there was only one each which was quite uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and return again. Lovely stay

Tidy pleasant place to stay . Breakfast is great , my only issue is the toilet room in our room is tiny . I’m not a big person and I had to open the door to pull up my underwear. The bed is huge and comfy . Great shower space but not private if sharing with a friend ( no door with window view of the bed ) Parking is perfect . T zand underground and the elevator brings you out in front of the hotel entrance if you exit pavilion D parking on level -3 All in all it’s a great location and the staff are very nice . I would stay again for sure .

The rooms are very comfortable, everything you need. Service very nice, reception very helpful. 10 minutes from the main square, by taxi in 2 minutes at the train station. Bus stop in front of the hotel and 8 minutes to the train station. All in all a very good hotel - to be recommended!

The hotel is in the old city and about a 10 minute walk to the centre. Looked a bit dated from the outside. Inside, however, was spacious, modern and clean. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very large with guest safe and refrigerator. The rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was buffet style which was fine with a good selection. The bar area was very well laid out and not overly expensive for a hotel bar. All members of staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Special thanks to the young man on reception duty when we checked in , Saturday 3rd September, sorry didn’t catch your name, as our booking could’ve caused confusion . It was sorted out very professionally. I must also apologise to you as I think a member of our party took a shine to you and she made you blush. The biggest criticisms for the hotel was how hot it was. We were there with temperatures in the high 20s and humid. There didn’t appear to be any functioning air conditioning either in the hotel or the rooms. The other issue and this was more a staffing problem was that the hotel bar was closed 2 nights out of the 4 that wee were there. As whole though worth a stay. Will definitely be using again.
Hotel ibis budget Brugge Centrum Station is a budget yet modern choice for your stay in the historical centre of Bruges, a UNESCO world heritage site that is also famous for its chocolate and beers - delicious. You get what you pay for. We have just got back after 5 nights here. They changed the sheets once and the towels every day. It was clean and we had BBC1, BBC2 and ITV1 on the telly. At €9 the breakfasts are okay- very basic. The rooms are small, and storage is inadequate. The slightest level of clutter will make your room look a mess. There aren't that many plug sockets and two of them are hard to access. The lavatory has a good flush and the shower is efficient. It cost €350 for 5 nights, and staying in Brugge for that is pretty cheap. Suss out the buses to and from the centre. Night buses run from Stadshouburg at 22:00 and 23:00, saving a bit of a yomp back when you will almost certainly have eaten, and may even have had a few drinks. You will want to do some culture. The museum pass bought while flashing your Brugge card which the hotel will give you will cost you €28 and it will pay for itself if you only go to see the Flemish Primitives at the Groeninge and have a look around the Gruuthuise museum.

Outstanding
GGuest UserObviously, the owner of the property, Jason, has put a lot of thoughts into furnishing it and has taken great pride and care in its upkeeping. The property is located on the quieter side of the old town but is anyway just about a 5 minute walk to Markt. The room is well appointed, spacious and clean. The breakfast prepared personally by Jason is sumptuous and tasty. A fantastic stay!
GGuest UserWe loved the Dukes Palace. We had no idea of its history but the palace structure, the layout and the large courtyard hinted at the opulent life of its former inhabitant, the Duchess of Burgundy who presided over the area in early history. It's a marvel what they had done in terms of creating beautiful rooms out of the palace space. The location was perfect, right on one of the main commercial streets in the old city center. They had elegant corridors, well-decorated spaces for informal lounging. The rooms were tastefully furnished. Breakfast was good, with an egg station. They brought coffee to you in nice porcelain containers. And interestingly, they had slabs of white, dark and milk chocolates that you could cut pieces of. This was pretty unique. All the staff were courteous and very accommodating. My wife complained of an unpleasant smell as we would come out of the hotel - but not sure what that was - cat's poop? The pillows were too large round and hard - my wife complained but they didn't have any other type.
We had a 4 night stay in a standard room. The room was extremely compact with a small space on 3 sides of the bed, just enough to walk through - although sloping ceilings encroached into this space so you had to lower your head. Wardrobe space was limited, with a 1 metre hanging rail and 3 shelves, space was taken up by the safe and the chiller. There was a small dressing table but we needed the space for our own toiletries, cosmetics and personal items. The décor was recent and pleasant if you like dark colours. The shower room was typically sized and equipped, although room service did not replace used toiletries without specific requests. Breakfast was quite good, we had a glass of champagne included and usually selected eggs with bacon and smoked salmon, accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and pastries. Cakes were available but not to our liking. Only 1 or 2 rooms were occupied in addition to our own during our stay and guests were only staying for 1 or 2 nights. The narrow stairs from the rooms to reception are hazardous because they go around a bend so they are very narrow on the inside and there is a large ornamental pot on the wide side. My wife lost her footing one morning and sustained a bruised ankle. Located next to Minnewater and the Kasteel, it is ideally placed for a quiet break in a picturesque location, although it is a 10 minute walk to the centre. At this time of year (early February) the outside covered bar is freezing despite the sheep skin blankets available. Only the 2 chairs next to the fireplace are 'warm'. Overall a nice place for an overnight stay but not good value for the price. This is almost the most expensive hotel in Bruges costing us €956 for 4 nights (without city tax), plus an additional €80 for parking. We find the Dukes' Palace, or The Grand Hotel Casselbergh, offer much more character, spacious rooms and large choices for breakfast.
WWENFEIClean and sanitary, the location is close to the railway station and the urban area, there is a small place over there and you can go there in a while. The single room I ordered was less than 500rmb. It feels very good as soon as I go in. The crush on the reception talked to me for a while. I especially envy that I can travel to many European countries. She has not been to China and wants to go out.
GGuest UserJust back from a weekend in Bruges and I can't recommend the Hotel Bryghia highly enough. It's in a great location - just far enough out of the centre to be blissfully quiet and but less than 10 mins walk from the Market Square and Belfry. Right next to a beautiful canal and bridge. It was the perfect balance of an old building but with modern facilities. The bed was so comfortable, we had the best night's sleep. We were welcomed by the very warm, friendly owner, and by some Belgian chocolates in our room! The map and local knowledge he shared were priceless. We are already planning to visit again in the Summer and will definitely book the Bryghia.
GGuest UserWe have enjoyed our stay in this hotel with short walking distance to the Centrum.
We have tried the breakfast which was good as Service staff offered freshly cooked omelette.
The only set back is the route to the hotel which we found a lift outside the train station to the level of the carpark leading to the hotel is very Dirty n Smelly. Upon Check-out we used the Hotel Back Road which leads to the Train Station instead of using the Dirty/Smelly Lift.
GGuest UserFriendly staff, lovely hotel, buffet breakfast was good value and convenient. Location was spot on and the family room was cosy, clean and had loads of space. Nuts from mini bar were cheaper than in the supermarket which we couldn’t believe. Only downside was the shower head wouldn’t stay in the holder so we had to hold it to shower which was a shame. Overall we would return if we came back to Bruges.
RRashidThe only thing good about the hotel was the location. Every thing else was bad. This is NOT a hotel you should book if you are driving and will like to park your car. The hotel will tell you that there is a huge public parking right across but will not tell you that to get to the parking lot will take 15 minutes of driving though walking back is 5 minutes. Also there are no clear directions and the whole old town is mostly one way.
Hotel is old and not well maintained. Color scheme is very dark and lights very gloomy. Paint on walls and even doors are in bad shape. Washroom need lot of upgrades. I would never again stay in this hotel in fact will stay away from NH hotel chain.
GGuest UserOne of the worst lodging experiences out of the hundreds of trips I’ve taken. The story begins with me mistakenly booking for august 11-13, 2023 instead of the intended dates of august 12-14, 2023. So, I made an additional reservation for august 13-14, 2023, to stay as planned. Both reservations were fully prepaid on agoda.com (€199 for the first 2 days and €108 for the third day). Upon checking in on august 12, 2023, I was informed that the 'paid-for' room was already occupied by someone else, and I was not allowed to use it. Their reason was that I didn't check in on august 11, 2023. The hotel voluntarily cancelled my reservation and ”gave the room away” to someone else on august 12-13, 2023, WITHOUT ANY CONSENT from me or ANY PRIOR NOTICE. It's a ridiculous joke. I am renting a room, not participating in horse racing or any kind of ******** like that. I'm i don't need to arrive earlier than others to use the room I’ve paid for, right? Even the front desk staff mentioned there was nothing they could do at the time and offered no assistance or resolution for the situation. I struggled to find a hotel on the same day and had to pay a substantial fee for last-minute accommodation in Bruges, while the room I paid for is being rented by the hotel to someone else. As for the second reservation on august 13, 2023, the hotel's conditions were just as terrible as their treatment of customers. There was no nightstand as pictured, not even a single clothes hanger, the room was too hot to close the door in august (no air conditioning or fan), and the noise was unbearable with constant disturbances from the adjacent room's door and footsteps in the corridor. A 'wonderful' experience for a night's stay here, priced at €307. Congratulations, you're certainly running a splendid business. P/s: Bruges is a beautiful city but this hostel is a SHAME.
MMohamed Fazil Syed Mohamed RowtherLocated 5 mins from the Grand Palace. Metro stations are within walking distance. Breakfast is ok nothing special. The room is not too small, which is good for Ibis. Overall it’s a suitable pleasant stay and I’ll come back.
