Hotel location is wonderful - middle of the old city. Rooms are spacious enough but some of them are located over a street with a night club and are very noisy all night (especially lower floors) - this has to be mentioned at check in to relevant customers. Staff is very friendly and helpful - especially at reception. Rooms cleaning needs some improvement as some negligence showed and called for our intervention. Breakfast is great, large choice and comfortable dining room including outdoor seating Fitness center is quite small and at basement - could have been located on an upper floor facing the old city - would be wonderful

The best thing about the hotel was the location in the old town. The hotel itself was OK but I was possibly expecting little better for the price. My only specific issue was the bathroom which really needed an update, in particular the shower box which is quite small. The shower floor and the general bathroom floors are really slippery, verging on dangerous (in my opinion)

Lovely centrally located hotel. Friendly staff. Good sized room with comfortable bed and pillows. Tv with Netflix etc. good sized bathroom however the water in the shower was tepid at best and quite often cold. Breakfast was poor! Limited options and cold, dry eggs every day!! The cons were the hotel is on a ridiculously busy, noisy street! Not the fault of the hotel who try to of offset this by having really comfy beds and providing ear plugs. This is the strangest old town! Again, not the fault of the hotel. You walk out on to a street with bars and restaurants that’s full of touts who are constantly trying to get you to come in their bars. This is from 11am so even when you’re just sightseeing during the day… the touts will mither you to try to get you to come in when you’re just trying to head back to your hotel. Again, not the hotels fault. The hotel is also in between 3 ‘men only bars’. Which makes the area feel a bit seedy. The hotel and the staff are lovely however we wouldn’t stay here again for the reason outlined above.

I stayed for five nights while attending a conference in Bucharest. My room, and the hotel in general, was extremely comfortable and clean, and well-maintained. The location, a few steps off Calea Victoriei, could not be improved upon — central and close to just about everything. The photos accurately represent the room I had (except that fortunately my room didn't not have the tied-back curtain that frames the headboard in the photo here). My room overlooked a large courtyard covered with a glass roof . The downside was that I had to check the internet to learn whether it was raining or not, but the positive side was the fact that the room was extremely quiet. And sunlight does penetrate the courtyard and room. It was far from dark. And the curtains did a much better job of blacking out the room at night than I am used to in hotels. The only problems: a finicky shower in which the tiniest adjustments could take the water temperature from cold to dangerously hot, and whose handset sprayed in more directions than it should. On the other hand, the water pressure was, if anything, excessive -- unusual in hotels. Also, breakfast was not great. The coffee that comes out of their machine was not particular high in caffeine, and honestly some of the baked goods were stale. This could easily be improved. Variety was ok. But overall, I was very comfortable in the Capşa hotel, and would happily return. The staff was helpful and friendly throughout my stay as well.

Superb location right in the heart of old town in Bucharest. Room is large with space for luggage. Breakfast are good, the staff are excellent in their service, not only friendly but also assist us in liaise with local Uber driver for transfer due to the limited driveway. Back door leads to the entrance towards the old town while the main doors are meant to go towards the subway and transport via the main road. Highly recommended if you wish to stay right in the old town and spoilt for choices to various restaurants, pubs and shops for accessibility.

Fantastic hotel with great design, very quiet and relaxing. The hotel has a modern lobby and a stylish restaurant. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Excellent and very helpful staff. They treat their customers just like family. Definitely I will recommend this hotel.

During my recent travels, I came across the best place to stay. It's luxurious yet surprisingly affordable. When I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience. Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so. The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was travelling by train.

The hotel is situated a few metres from the Gara de Nord railways station and underground station, so it is very easy to reach. The check-in procedure was fast, room clean with a large bed, toilet, shower, TV set, hairdryer etc. The door is card-operated, mine unfortunately didn´t work properly, so I had to go to the reception desk twice but the girl was really helpful. Breakfast is served in the adjacent building from 7 .00 to 10.30, quite a good range of things to choose from. Wi-fi connection strong and stable. Next time in Bucharest I will definitely try to get a room here again.
